In this video, learn the following:
- Introduction to proxy editing for efficient video editing.
- Proxy files are lower-resolution copies of high-resolution footage.
- Steps to create proxy files in Adobe Premiere Pro:
- Select high-resolution b-roll footage.
- Right-click and choose "Create Proxies".
- Set frame size, preset, and location.
- Adobe Media Encoder processes and exports proxy files.
- The proxy files are created in the background. You do not have to wait until processing is completed to begin editing.
- Proxies are saved in a dedicated folder alongside the original files.
- Toggle proxies on/off using the "Toggle Proxies" button in Premiere Pro.
- Editing with proxies reduces lag and allows smoother playback.
- Exporting using original high-resolution files.
