How to use generative extend in Premiere Pro to create extra frames

 


With Generative Extend, Premiere Pro can help you fine-tune your edits, extend a shot for a bit longer, or add a few frames to help with transitions. With a simple click and drag, you can have some extra elbow room to create your perfect cut.

Working with Proxies in Adobe Premiere Pro


In this video, learn the following:
  • Introduction to proxy editing for efficient video editing.
  • Proxy files are lower-resolution copies of high-resolution footage.
  • Steps to create proxy files in Adobe Premiere Pro:
    • Select high-resolution b-roll footage.
    • Right-click and choose "Create Proxies".
    • Set frame size, preset, and location.
    • Adobe Media Encoder processes and exports proxy files.
    • The proxy files are created in the background. You do not have to wait until processing is completed to begin editing.
  • Proxies are saved in a dedicated folder alongside the original files.
  • Toggle proxies on/off using the "Toggle Proxies" button in Premiere Pro.
  • Editing with proxies reduces lag and allows smoother playback.
  • Exporting using original high-resolution files.
