Thank you very much, the image improves when selecting the Working Color Space to Rec.2100 HLG but the image remains somewhat dull.

Hi Diego Campos!

Sorry about the trouble. Which OS are you working on? What's the source of the media files that you're editing?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

Hi Kartika Rawat!

It happens using Windows 11 and macOS Monterey 12.1. And the media files are ".mov".

Thanks for your time,

Diego

Here are a couple FAQs about the issue that I prepared for this forum.

FAQ:PremierePro 2022 Color Management for Log/RAW Media

How to Set Monitors for HDR work in Premiere Pro 2022?

They completely rebuilt the color system of Premiere it seems for the 2022 release. Previously, the underlying color science was always listed as Rec.709. But they had added the math computations for it to allow the use of some HLG/PQ media by using what they called "over-range data" for both higher dynamic range and wider color gamuts.

It allowed for some working in HDR with either HLG or PQ, but really only sort of. It required special external hardware to the monitor, and kinda sorta worked in a real kludge sort of way.

Now, the underlying system is clearly very different. It seems to work either in Rec.709 (sRGB primaries, 100 nits max dynamic range) or Rec.2100/HLG/PQ. It doesn't require specialized hardware between the computer and the HDR capable monitor.

However ... the options and 'default behaviors' are completely different. So it takes a bit of time to understand what has changed, where the controls are, and what they do.

Ergo, my FAQs.

Hi @02331461732tdjr,

Is the original footage shot in HDR, like on a Sony camera or an iPhone?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @Valentin Nico32862440xir8,

Thanks for the note. We would need a bit more info to help you. Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing? Are you shooting HDR on your iPhone?  Check the camera settings to see. I hope we can help you.

Thanks,
Kevin

That is because you aren't using a full set of color management choices, that work together to producethe outputyou need.

Read comments above and in other such threads, especially I lay this out in detail in many threads. So find one of mine and go through your CM settings.
