Hi - has File > Import Batch List been removed from Premiere 2018?=

I used this in Premiere 2017 to import csv metadata exported from Davinci Resolve.

If it is gone, is there any way to batch import clip metadata in 2018?

It is indeed missing. The User Guide still shows it as an option:

Batch capturing and recapturing in Premiere Pro

Nothing about it appears in the new features and bug fix lists. And Exporting a batch list is also gone.

Using "import" does not allow the option of selecting a .csv file. There is an option for .ale (Avid Log Exchange). And the option remains for exporting an ale. Any option for your there?

The three options under File are:

Import from Media Browser

Import

Import Recent File

You might try the second option.

This is very helpful.

After a brief test it seems the ALE workflow would work well. You'd simply put all your media on a Resolve timeline, then right-click and select Export ALE. This ALE can then be imported into Premiere with all metadata alongside it and then linked to the media on disk.

I'll need to test a bit more thoroughly, but knowing this is the Avid workflow I imagine it should work out great.
