Rounding edges on masking remove?

I have a bigger irritation point, i use premiere pro and i love working with it, but one  of the most annoying features when using gaussian blur and trying to blur faces, company names etc. is every time i have to change the shape of the mask, i keep getting hold of the curve-thing (see picture) and i dont use this feature, is there a way to disable it?

Start with a rectangular shape instead of the Pentool.

A rectangular shape does not have bezier vertex.
