Sharp images becomes unsharp when exported

I'm working with a film in Premiere, using a lot of still images, among them several very detailed graphic prints. However, when I export the film in Quicktime, Apple ProRes 422 HQ, which is the format for the rest of the film, the images become blurry. The images I use are big. One of the images has the following size: 6000 x 4000 pixels, 72 dpi. I do NOT use "scale to frame size" as default; I scale the picture manually.

How can I resolve the issue? I would be grateful for help.

When scaling images below 100%, make sure that Use Maximum Render Quality (gives better quality scalling but increases the encode time) is enabled when exporting.

If this is still not looking as expected, import the image(s) into an After Effects project, adjust the Scale as preferred, render the Compositio at Best Settings / Custom: QuickTime Apple ProRes 422 HQ and then import that into your Premiere Pro project.

Thank you for answering me. Unfortunately nothing helps. I enclose a screenshot, the image to the left is export from Premiere (maximum render quality), the one in the middle is the original, and to the right, After effects. Both exports lose the details.

When down-converting artwork, it's common to apply Unsharp Mask to bring some detail (or sharpness) back.
