Is there a way to do a simple side by side without having to crop one of the videos? I have 2 videos, both of odd resolutions that are of the esame event, from different angles. I just need to run the videos side by side with a single audio track, but the only way I have found so far is by cropping each of them, which won't work for this project.
Create a new Sequence that's the width of both your angles added together. Then, just position one on the left, and one on the right.

Instead of cropping you can scale them both down to fit the frame.
Why cannot you crop.

I need all the activity on the clip. I have tried Scaling them, but for some reason I cannot get the clip to respond to the scale. I will keep working it from that angle.

Which method are you using for changing the Scale value of the clip?
Double-click in the Program Panel and then adjust the transform handles?
Select the clip in the Timeline and then click on the Scale value in the Effect Controls panel?
Select the clip in the Timeline and then click and drag the Scale value in the Effect Controls panel?
Any of those should work. If not, it's worth a little extra investigation as to why not.

Thanks, that was the solution I was looking for.

Jim gave you a good workaround but you should be able to scale the images down direct on the timeline and move them around in the Program window.
