Hello, I can't find anything about this issue but the usual suggestions of cleaning temp files. I've become kinda angry about it because editing and uploading videos is my hobby and additional income. Suddenly, it stopped working.
Here's the thing. Until the beginning of this month, Premiere always ran perfectly. I'm working with mp4s which are 2-5 GB in size and cut them into compilations. At the same time, I was able to run Youtube and such. I have 86 GB on C and 600 GB on D. The Cache Files are set to D. I worked smoothly with WAY less space but equally large files.
Now this happened, for some reason, on its own:
Chome and Edge started complaining about not enough disc space and sites crash.
Also, Premiere randomly won't import or export, claims it doesn't have enough disc space. Or it shows a random issue with a codec like H264, but its just an issue following the disc space warning, and its completely random which codec causes an issue. I have to delete the cache and restart Premiere with EACH 2 GB file I import and export or otherwise, the disc space complaint appears. This led to crashes of the entire system, too.
Also for some reason, a friend of mine's Premiere has an option to "Enable Disc Space" and was able to set it to 100 GB. I don't have that option in CC. Where is it?!
What I tried and didn't help:
Using CC Cleaner and the Avira Cleanup tools to delete temporary files.
Switched Harddrives for the Premiere Caches.
Re-Installed and updated K-Lite Codec Pack, several times.
Updated graphics drivers (GeForce GTX 1070).
Used older versions of Premiere.
The only notable thing I did in that time frame that might have caused the issue:
I used 4DDig to recover an accidently deleted finished project, and I have no idea regarding how it manipulates temp space on a PC. However, I used this tool before and it didn't destroy Premiere.
