Would love the ability to resize caption tracks in the timeline panel the way you do with audio and video tracks. They are so small compared to other tracks I often over looking them when moving thing around and they come out of sync or get deleted. Releated note is the ability to keep them synced to the relevent clip with something like linked selection.

@mscalisi37,

See my comments in this other Idea/feature request and upvote it (in the Upper left of the original post).

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/make-caption-track-height-adjustable/idc-p/1349253...

Also see this post in that thread, where I add an additional method for resizing:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/make-caption-track-height-adjustable/idc-p/1383685...

The bottom line - there are many methods for making a variety of adjustments. What is not possible is increasing the caption tracks proportion of the timeline area over 25%. Staff have explained that this was by design.

So as I understand it, Adobe engineers planned it to be non-resizable and it's going to stay that way, right?

I would say, "yes, but...."

The engineers are always willing to review feature requests, and the decision about the "maximum size of 25% of the timeline area" was made when the new caption workflow was new. Many users are still unaware of the options to resize within that 25%, so workarounds are not too painful once discovered. There are still only 3 votes for that other feature request.

I believe the information belongs on this page, but it is still VERY limited:
