DaVinci Resolve has the option to export individual clips from a timeline, that keeps source name and source timecode intact. PLEASE make this function available in Premiere!!!
I've wanted this for years. The current best alternative of course is to do a "render & replace" of a clip on a sequence ... and use that clip as your export.
