Make Premiere, Audition, and AE icons different colors again

Until this recent update, it was very easy to look at a file and know if it's a Premiere, Audition, or AE File because the icons were different colors. Now that they're all purple, it's a lot harder to tell what type of file I'm looking at, especially if it's a small icon. There also seems to be no benefit to the average user for this change. Please change icons back to their previous colors or any other colors that aren't exactly the same.

I've been changing my icons since the Creative Suite days. Relatively easy on the Mac side especially with https://macosicons.com/

Do these manual icon changes persist even when updating the Adobe applications? Or does one always have to re-apply the icon changes after each update?

I can manually change the icons but it reverts every update. It's a pain.

I have a separate folder of icons, I make shortcuts (desktop icons) to each program. Since I make these basically from scratch, installing or uninstalling the various programs do not affect my icons. Once a year I change the path of the icons, like 2023 to 2024. Adobe creates icons with each upgrade, I just delete those created by them and am good to go... you have to have your own icons to link your custom shortcuts too...

I can't see a way to give inline replies here. I know how to change the icons and have customised most of mine. The problem is that:

  1.  Adobe shouldn't be setting up this issue in the first place, they're a creative design software company!
  2.  It doesn't stick as keeps reverting

It stays on my end on Mac. It's only when I got to a next number version like 23 to 24 that I have to do this dance all over again which takes less than a few minutes.
