Selected transcribed text in the text pane and press delete to remove this section from the timeline

For interviews and cutting a draft it would be so much easier to select transcribed text in the text pane and when you press delete key it removes this section from the timeline. If there is video linked to the audio then it cuts that as well from the timeline.

 

I know this wont happen but it's a good way to make editing more efficient!

There are really 2 workflows:

Empty sequence and add sections from the transcript.

The whole clip in the sequence, and mark sections to remove.

 

In either method, you can look at the transcript from the clip or as it exists in the sequence.
