Last year, I experimented with AI image generation models and uploaded some of the outputs to Pixabay for review. To my surprise, a few of these illustrations became quite popular, collectively reaching almost a million downloads!

I'm now considering uploading the top 5 images from my Pixabay portfolio to Adobe Stock. My main concern is that these popular images might have already been secretly uploaded to Adobe Stock by others, which I've heard happens frequently to Pixabay creators.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Do you think it's still safe to upload these images to Adobe Stock, or am I risking a problem? I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice!

If the tool that you used to generate the images allows commercial use, and if Pixabay does not claim exclusive rights to any images you’ve e uploaded there, you can submit to Adobe stock. I suggest that you read the Adobe Stock Contributor Agreement and Help Pages before starting to upload.

Do you earn anything on Pixabay - especially on that million downloads?

Pixabay is all free downloads.

Quality is reflected in the price.  🤔 🤔

It's not the same caliber as Getty or Adobe Stock.

But unfortunately the pictures are surprisingly good now. I don't understand that market. And the price is zoro. But the major providers apparently use the free agencies for advertising promotions.

I don't think you've thought this through. Why would anybody pay for free Pixabay images on Adobe Stock?  It makes no sense to sell free images here, especially since it has already made the rounds.

Feel free to contribute NEW content to Adobe Stock. Something customers are willing to buy for commercial use.  Also, carefully read the TERMS from Stock's Contributor User Guide.  This is essential knowledge.

Good luck.

I shared that same initial thought. However, my experience changed after I uploaded my work to Vecteezy and Freepik, where I've actually gained some downloads. What I've realized is that major platforms operating on a subscription model essentially create their own ecosystems of users. These users are more likely to stay within their familiar environment and utilize their current subscription for convenience, rather than seeking out content from external agencies.

If Pixabay allows commercial usage of images that are generated with their tool and you are the author, then yes, you can upload them to Adobe Stock.
If others have "illeagaly" used your images then you need to try and identify them and report them to Adobe.
