Quality Issues

Hi,

I've just started contributing to Adobe Stock although I've been contributing to other stock agencies for over 20 years and am getting a lot of rejected images due to Quality Issues (approx 1/3 or my submitted images). I never (or extremely rarely) get quality problems elsewhere - is this normal? I've no problem with Adobe rejecting images if they don't fit their requirements, don't think they will sell or they already have similars but I can't understand why they are being rejected due to quality issues.

Attached are a couple of sample images which were rejected. Any comments / advice welcome.

In the first image there are a couple of small blownout areas in the sky, but otherwise it looks good. The second image looks flawless, and I think the Moderator erred. I think if you resubmitted it, and got a different Moderator next time, it would be accepted. I have also had some puzzling quality rejections this year, after having maintained a ~95% acceptance rate for years. Sometimes I re-edit those slightly and resubmit them and they get accepted. If they get rejected again, I just move on.

Hi @gary_4788 ,

The water in the forefront do not seem to be in focus. This is because you placed the focus too far and possibly not having enough depth of field. There is a special technique in taking landscape photos. I suggest to learn the technique so that lovely captures like comes out satisfactory. The highlights also needed to reduce a little.

The second image seem to have a white balance issue. It seem a bit cool (blue). Make that adjustment before resubmitting.

Best wishes

Histogram shows a tiny bit of clipping on the right, probably due to the overcast sky.  I would boost the level just a tad in an Adjustment layer to give it a little pop.  But otherwise, it's a beautiful photo.

I think the vulture has some loss of detail in the highlights of the breast. I would copy over these areas and resubmit.
