If you are talking about the pale pink that is showing in your screen shot, that is not a printable color, it's an indication that the font selected for the text is missing.

Photoshop is not the way to go on this. Make a new 40-page InDesign document of the correct size, and then place the old InDesign document into the new one. If you put image boxes on your Master page with appropriate fitting options set, the pages should resize automatically as you place them.

the / character is used by computer systems to indicate file hierarchies, so it creates system confusion when used as part of a file name. The only solution is to change the file names to remove the "illegal" characters.

I think the most painless way to work with clients who are still on CS5 is to create their files from the start in CS5. That is going to be the only way to avoid having some things change in the transition.

Not directly, but you can turn the first one into a two-column text box, then link the two. The text from the second box should then be pulled into the first one. You can use a column break to control which text the second column starts with. Second box can then be deleted. All that being said, it would probably be easier to cut-and-paste the text from the second box into the first one.

I did a quick google of this error - it seems to occur if other layers of your document are not visible, are locked, or any combination of the above. It it's not feasible to unlock all of your document layers and make them visible, then try cutting the objects out of a copy of your file (in case something goes wrong), pasting them into a new document, running the script there, and then pasting them back -- as suggested here: Error 8705 target layer cannot be modified | Techyv

If the peaks are not a live effect, they would not be part of the style. Having seen Mike's post for the script that uses symbols, I now know that the script is the better way to do this.

Create a Graphic Style from your circle with peaks. Then select one of your round shapes, and Choose Select Same Appearance from the Menu. You can then apply the Graphic Style to all of your circle at once. This will work best if nothing else had the same combination of fill and stroke color, and stroke-size as your circle shapes.

I've lost count of how many times I've had to explain why I can't add just one page to a saddle-stitched booklet - it has to be four pages at a time. Client: That blue didn't print looking as vibrant as the original photo. Me: That's because CMYK printing can't capture all the colors that RGB can. Client: Why can't they just print it in RGB? Then there was the client who loved Unsharp Mask, and figured that "sharper has to be better," and so over-sharpened all images to the point of massive halos before sending them to me.

that is usually the result of something at the edge of the pasteboard. It should not carry over, but if you want it gone, drag around all the content of the two pages on the spread and copy. Delete the two pages, and add two new pages. Then paste in place to put your content back.

You can either use a book file to synchronize styles, swatches and page numbering while leaving them as separate documents, or use the Move Pages menu item from the Page pallet fly-out menu to transfer all the pages of your documents into one.

This is an ideal job for Data Merge. You set up one name tag with the correct positioning, and enough room in your text fields for the longest name. Export your excel to csv or tab-delimited text, and use the data merge panel to link the fields to your tag. You then set up and run a multiple record per page merge.

Can you show your template page without the preview? And let us know if you are setting up your fields on the master page or the document page. My best guess for fixing this is to leave your circles and green field on the Master Page, but move your merge field to page one. Right now, everything that is on the page is being duplicated and moved to your margin settings.
