Sorry for the wait, but we believe this issue should now be addressed in 24.6 beta build 020. Alt + mouse wheel scroll should zoom based on cursor location. Appreciate all the feedback.

Are you by any chance moving a clip when this happens? If so, this is a known issue (after moving a clip in Timeline, shortcuts do not work until you give focus again) that we believe have fixed with 24.6 beta 009 or later (if you would like to verify)

You can grab the middle bar between the Video and Audio tracks (V1 and A1) and pull up to decrease the gap.

This should be fixed in 24.4, which was recently halted - Release of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder v24.4 halted The fix should also be in the 24.5 beta that is currently available.

Ahhh, good info, Stan. In my case, I was setting under System > Display > Scale and 100% was recommended. I will update my prior responses and also pass this on to the team.

Sorry that you are experiencing this odd behavior. In addition of checking your Preferences & settings, are you perhaps using the Ripple Edit Tool rather than the Selection tool?

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce. Invert is working for me with 24.5 beta 043 & 044. Perhaps something with your Preferences? If you delete your Preferences and relaunch Premiere, does it now work? (you can remove Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta) Prefs from your Profile folder)
