Hi Maja. Photos deleted within Lr Mobile on you phone will be still in your Lr Desktop catalog, One of the things you need to make sure is that all the Lr Mobile originated photos are synced to your Lr Desktop version. Any easy way to start is to deactivate all your collections from sync in Lr Desktop. With that you will see a clean view in Lr Mobile. Then you could create a vacation collection, enable Auto Add photos via Lr Mobile settings and turn this on via collection settings, With that all imported photos will be automatically added to this collection. just my 2 cent. - Guido

Could you try to remove the sync.lrdata file and restart Lr Desktop. Removing the Sync.lrdata might fix whatever the issue is. Or, at least, might trigger it to occur again. So remove the Sync.lrdata, start Lr Desktop, and then try to remove a photo and in case you still run in to this issue ... create at this point a Lr Desktop diagnostic log which can hopefully provide some clues. You can find the sync.lrdata file here: On Mac it's at /Users/<user>/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Sync Data/Sync.lrdata On Win it would be at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches\Sync Data\Sync.lrdata You can trigger the diagnostic-log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button Hope this helps. Has Lr Desktop fully synced the photo? Could you try to make a tiny edit and let the phoo re-sync? Sometimes it happens when you make an edit and quit Lr Desktop before the meta-data changes have been fully synced. Let me know your results Guido

Ok. I was just asking what we can improve from the messaging to avoid that this can happening again. As I understand you, the message was not that clear to you that your photos were deleted, right? Did you open the the "Click her for more information" link within the "sync this cataolog instead"- dialog before you continued to delet?

Hi Tim, one question. At the time you connected the different catalog to your adobe-id and pushed the "start" to sync within Lr Desktop. Did Lightroom come up with a "Sync this catalog instead" dialog (See attached screenshot). ...and when you pushed the Delete option from this dialog a browser page opened where you needed to confirm to delete? - Guido
