Hi Steven, That must be a very new development. It was still on sale a week ago. I just looked on Amazon.co.uk and there is a copy for sale there , claimed to be New for a cool thirteen hundred pounds and they say its the standard version not extended. Its generally a bad idea to buy outside of Adobe because of all the pirated copies in circulation and if someone on Amazon or eBay has registered it, it will take a month of form filling to transfer ownership. I don't however follow why CC is a problem just because you have CS6 in house as CC will open CS6 files and CS6 will open CC files when saved in compatibility mode. This might really set the cat amongst the pigeons and make me unpopular, but its something that has puzzled me. How have the staff accumulated so many points in such a short time? Almost from day one when they first got here most had 500 points plus. Granted being full timers with the technical support database behind them they will build a healthy total fast, but some had them straight away and I don't recognize the names as volunteers from the past, when I just viewed rather than posted. Also isn't there something about Adobe employees not qualifying for merit points? What happened to that? Having said that I'm glad I'm not them having to answer the same 5 repetitious questions each day-must be soul destroying. You were lucky, I am yet to receive an answer back from the staff when I try to talk to them in a thread. I realize that they are paid and need to look good here because of that, but they make a lot of mistakes and the constant references to YouTube drives me crazy . Hi, I was going to let this pass also. I had several entries here about an alternative way of doing this using Content Awareness-you may remember you commented it was a bit off topic, which was fine by me. I'd like to know who has taken upon themselves the role of self appointed CENSOR?. As I understand it anything can be posted unless it is illegal content,racist, obscene or rude to others and nothing here was. Mr Fosse also provided his answer first as he stated and didn't get acknowledged with the correct answer-why? Its not about the points , most of us here already have plenty, but its the principle of the thing. I've only been doing this 8 weeks and have noticed a big change in that short time. They don't like it stated but Staff and MVPs are given preference when marking questions. Worse the staff mark their wrong answers as correct. Just last week a question about cutting out hair was marked correct when the marquee and quick selection tool were put forward as the best tools for the job. We all know that's wrong-maybe if the refine edge was mentioned it might have been ok , but it wasn't. I don't know the underlying politics of what happens here, but one has to wonder if it is worth giving up ones time anymore. Its a shame because something nobody mentioned here was the use of video instead of multiple images to do this. I think the answer to that is not everyone is as fussy about color as you and I I reckon with mass production monitors with built in colorimeters would be economic to make, but the manufacturers would have a tough time selling the feature to consumers who don't know about color management. Herbert, I think you are going to confuse the OP here. First you say the mobile device needs to be calibrated and then you say Android devices are not suited to color calibration. So what is the OP supposed to make of that except be bemused. In fact Android kernels can now be calibrated but unless you are ultra fussy there is no need . Android color management is finally possible, thanks to new Datacolor app Mobile devices support sRGB out of the box. I'm not saying a three year old device will still support its full calibration and if the default screen settings are altered it most certainly will not. You surely don't think that everyone surfin the web has a calibrated screen? So according to your argument web designers should be wasting their time designing with the sRGB colors in mind. At the moment there are many problems associated with Photoshop CC2015 on the Mac. Some are due to Adobe releasing 2015 with bugs , but more seem to be associated with the Yosemite OS itself. There are people still having to cripple their graphics subsystem to run Photoshop after 6  months which is pretty poor I would say. Adobe blame Apple and Apple blame Adobe. What is more worrying is their next OS El Capitan is in beta and older Adobe products don't run at all because of a Java revamp making CS6 at least for now broken. I like Apple hardware because it looks nice, but if you take it apart its no better than good PC hardware. If your budget extends to a good games machine from a well reviewed system builder go for a PC. It will run Photoshop brilliantly -you'll save money and Windows these days is a pretty impressive operating system. In addition if you want to upgrade the hardware in a few years you can, whereas with a Mac you need to buy a new computer. Its not for nothing that Apple Inc is so profitable. I must confess that from your screen shot one would have to conclude that there is nothing wrong as it looks pretty close to perfect. You seem to have covered the bases 100% magnification, a quality font, anti-aliasing, but are you taking into consideration that your text layer in Photoshop is still in vector form? What does it look like if you rasterize the layer? That is the acid test really. Also you should consider working with text in pixel units not points as the former is resolution independent-at the moment your text will resize if you up the resolution. 72 point is 1 inch so 12pt is 1/6 of an inch which means at 72dpi 12pixels and at 300dpi 50pixels are used respectively. Obviously the more pixels involved the smoother the text will look but the sizes will be very different also. It is far easier to work in pixels on screen in PS as its just not designed as a DTP program. In case you don't know you can change the units used to display text in the preferences by changing from points to pixels. Maybe give it a go? Terri ... View more
