Thanks for the reply I will look into it, all I know is something has to give I have put myself out there too far between paying for school, a laptop and software for them to come back and say oh sorry software is now not available to bad, little late for that, I personally think especially for people signing up for the student license they should put that right across the screen in big letters these apps are not available for these OS systems as of right now and we have no idea when we may get around to making them work!!! Uncompressed they look good in PDF, but 2629 PPI is a very high res for the lower left image.
Illustrator is always giving the wrong resolution for rotated images: in this case 4580x1509 ppi
But somehow after compression the resulting resolution is different for width and height: 311.693/300.988 ppi. Maybe the combination of rotation, compression and Illustrators calculation of the resolution is causing this. But even the downsampled version does look much better on my Mac than on your screendump (if you do not zoom in too much)

Thanks for reaching out! If you're referring to the "Show Options" button shown in @barbara_a 's response, I can confirm that it's available in the latest version of Illustrator.
You can easily access the Color Panel through the Window menu (Window > Color). The only time this option might not be visible is if it’s already enabled—when that happens, the flyout menu will display "Hide Options" instead of "Show Options."

Apologies for the delayed response. It looks like there’s an issue with the image "9_2-202120_11_58.jpeg". When you open the file, you should see an option to replace it—please try clicking "Ignore" and see if that allows you to open the file. If it does, you can manually locate and remove the image or delete it entirely.

Thanks for sharing the file, and I’m really sorry for the delayed response. I checked the file on my end and was able to replicate the issue. The text appears correctly in the 2024 version but disappears in 2025, which suggests some form of corruption in the text itself. I tried changing the font and even copying the text into a new file, but unfortunately, that didn’t work either.
I’ve escalated this to the Product team for further investigation and will keep you updated as soon as I hear back. In the meantime, the only workaround that worked for me was saving the file without PDF compatibility. Until the issue is resolved, I’d recommend saving your file without PDF compatibility by unchecking the "Create PDF Compatible File" option while saving.

I haven't done any yet. I'm not sure what to do first. Do I do the uninstall pervious version first or do I unintall and reinstall creative cloud? I'd like to keep some of the previous version for my job.

If you have any pre-2024 versions and do need them, do NOT delete them. You won't be able to install them again. In this case, also make sure to uncheck the option to remove earlier versions when you install/update InDesign from the Creative Cloud app.

Hello, I allow myself to join Mario's remark, because as a daily user of ILLUSTRATOR for years, this possibility of being able to keep the last selections after having canceled a cut action was really practical, it allowed to be able to easily and quickly add elements in the background for example to our selection. Having deleted or corrected it is really annoying and penalizing for those who were used to using it. Too bad.
