FYI: My mouse doesn't show up in windows on occasion (enough that I was crawling under the desk too often). When I setup my new machine with some office reconfig, I put a USB (3) hub with on/off switches mounted near me right under the desk (near the edge). Now when that happens, (and it seems less, either on this computer, Win 10 from Win 7 or in the hub). Yes, as per Stan's comment, there are many date fields available in a file. Some of those file date changing utilities can access many/most/all of those dates. As Stan mentioned it could be any one of those dates so do some experimenting. There's plenty of (free) file date utilities around. You could just export it normally and then use the utility to set whatever dates (create, last modified, etc)  you like. Just do a google search.
