For the first part, I would use the work area bars to mark a section I want to save and export it with a descriptive title.   Continue to do that for each section you want to save.  Because of output processing compression, there will be some theoretical quality loss from the original but it probably won't be visible.   There are alternate output codec choices if you want to minimize that loss but the file sizes will be larger.     For the second part, know that what you see during editing is real time previews.  Your computer has to work very hard to do them.  If it can't keep up, your editing will be jerky.   There is a choice to edit with previews at a lesser resolution.   I typically use "1/4" with 4K footage from my drone.  You can also "render the time line" forcing improved previews.  The yellow and red lines above the timeline will turn green.  If none of that works you can try creating "proxy" files with tools provided in Premiere Pro.   With proxies, you edit smaller, more efficient files but when you create output Premier Pro defaults to using the originals.  ... DNG Converter takes current camera RAW files and renders generic "DNG" raw files.   It is independent and separate from Lightroom or any other program.  Since you are on a new computer, use the newest DNG converter.   Once converted, your cameras's proprietary format will have a generic DNG copy.   If LR 6.14 runs on your new computer, you should then be able to import the generic DNG copy.      Please note that Lightroom 6.14 is no longer current or supported.  It was created well before Windows 11 and will probably have unresolvable issues.   Old software on a new operating system is a risk you might not want to take. ... Yes, sometimes it works.  But, as John wrote, YouTube will change the "handshake protocols" and then it doesn't work.  YouTube has evolved so that it accepts a wide variety of formats but the standard is an MP4, with an H.264 logo in either HD or 4K.   Output your video using one of the defaults to a standard format and then use YouTube's uploader.  It is two steps, but, in the long run, it will save you time. ... If this was a common issue, there would be an easy answer.  It is not at all common!  To be more helpful, people here will need more information.   Can you start with details about your project settings, the source footage and your choices in settings?  Information about your computer and available disc space would also be helpful.   Guessing on what you've provided, it might be that the preview files created by rendering have a issue.   Under the Timeline menu there is a choice to delete rendered files.  Please try that and see what happens.     If you prefer, you can initate a tech support chat from the Help menu.   They are equipped to remotely run your computer looking for solutions. ... Your question suggests that you might not fully understand how the Lightroom Classic system works.   Please consider reading about the catalog and file management system.      If it were me, I would get the (free) e-book from the Lightroomqueen on how to move to a new computer.   (https://www.lightroomqueen.com/members/free-membership/moving-free-ebook/)   The first step will be to copy the folder with the catalog in it to the new computer.   Then add the new SSD to Lightroom.   Then update to the newest version using the creative cloud app.    For the image files, plug each of your multiple drives, one at a time, and use Lightroom to move the files to the new SSD.   Do not move them using Finder.    I don't understand your second question.   Basically, if the RAWs are not in the Lightroom catalog, you will have to "Import" them.  Remeber that in Lightroom "Import" only means registering where they are.  ... The word "render" is used too many ways.  The "render" relating to turning the bar green is different than the "render" for output.  The green bar render process updates real time preview files to make editing work well.  Output or "Export & Share" uses a different process that creates a playable file.  You don't need to "render" the timeline prior to exports.   ... Karrie,   Don't confuse project files with video files.  The most common video file is an ".MP4".  You make MP4 files by exporting or "sharing" from the project.  You didn't say what version of Premiere Elements you are using, so it may vary a bit.  On mine, you Export & Share > Devices > Computer and pick "HD 1920x1080".   You will get a chance to pick a saving location and name.   With that, you can then watch your new MP4 on you computer and then post it to YouTube using there uploading tools.      If this is what you are doing, where are you stuck?   (Steve's training videos are very good.  There is a free 8 part series on YouTube that you should watch if you are new to video editing.)   With the project open,  ... You can uninstall and reinstall LR Classic without losing the catalog.  The catalog file is a separate data file.  LR Classic is a program file.   That said, please have a backup system in place.  You should be creating catalog backup files from Lightroom Classic and then copies of those catalog files should be backed up along with all of your other important files.   With backups in place, the worst that can happen is that you will have to retrieve a recent one one and open it.  All your image files are kepts separately and should also be backed up. ...
