Upgrading a v6 catalog to v14 will give you a warning message that the upgrade cannot find a .LRCAT-DATA file. This is as expected. Lr6 did not use .LRCAT-DATA files. Be sure you have saved backups of the v6 catalog and try the upgrade again. (I have no recent experience with current NIK apps. Following is how the earlier NIK versions worked! ) Lightroom-Desktop does not allow the use of Plugins, but you can use the NIK apps in several ways.   1) Select an image and go FILE > Edit in > BROWSE  (to the Nik App/feature you want in Applications. A couple of ideas come to my mind-   *In the Print module- Create a 'Custom Package' by adding any number of cells that you want (Resize and relocate as wanted) *Design an ID Plate with text or a graphic to add anywhere on the print page. Or use the Print module to export a jpg from a 'Contact Sheet' of images, import the JPG to the catalog, Use the combined image to Export as JPG with Watermark or ID Plate. Or make use of the Mogrify Plugin to add text to an exported image. Using the correct terminology is needed to understand problems like this. Can you explain more your statements-  and provide some updated screen-clips of the Lr-Classic Folder panel with some image previews included, and Windows view of the same folders, including error messages. "photos don't appear in the ‘CapsFix’ folder" - With the 'Fix' procedure the files are not physically moved to the {CapsFix} folder. It is only a virtual database change until the correct folder is restored in the database with the [Update Folder location] action performed a second time. [Update Folder location] does not actually move the files physically. "Lr moves them to the library" - What is meant by this?  All photos are referenced in the Lr-Classic "Library". Can you be more specific. "in Windows they remain in the main folder." - What is the 'main folder'? Do you see any 'Missing' folders with the [ ? ] in the LrC folder panel?   Sorry to see your problem continuing. My eyes are not seeing ghosting in your (latest) screen-clips, unless your red outline is hiding a sharp difference. I accept that the 'AI Remove' tool may not be perfect. Have you done an [ Update AI Settings ]? I tried checking colour values (on your screen-clips) with the 'info' tool in Photoshop and get  almost exact same colour values both inside and outside your drawn circles. Perhaps to a Photoshop expert there may be a visible difference but I don't see it. I do occasionally experience that tools in the 'Remove' group, Heal, etc, do not work well in Lightroom if the selected area is on an image edge boundary (as you show). The Remove tools in Photoshop may work better that Lightroom & ACR. But I am out of ideas, sorry.  Keep you thread active and you may get better answers from others.       ... View more

Best I can make from your screen-clips is that you have managed to 'combine' the two {RAW} folders with the fix procedure. If the {RAW} folder is now on the wrong drive ( D: ) then you can drag & drop the folder -in the LrC folder panel.!- so it will move folder and files on to the ( C: ) drive. TBMK From Lightroom-Desktop  Edit In > Edit in Adobe Photoshop will always (directly) open the image in photoshop as TIFF. I never see options "edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments or the original file" when I [Edit In Adobe Photoshop] - Those options sound like they refer to Lightroom-Classic.   Instead you could [Share...] as 'Original + Settings'  (ie. the raw file ) to your computer, then in Mac Finder [Open] the file in Photoshop. This will open a raw file in ACR (The 'Settings' -any edits done in Lr- will render in ACR!) before it renders/opens to Photoshop. And what is your purpose for "trim down my file sizes"? Are you referring to Exported images or your original files in the Lightroom Cloud? "Would downsizing in this way make the image less ideal for printing?" That depends. By stating [Custom Dimensions] and [PPI] you will ALWAYS be re-sampling the image. That re-sampling may upscale the image, or it may reduce it (downsize). ie pixels are either added or removed from the image. I would suggest that any re-sampling is "less ideal".  Leave the exported image at the 'native' pixel dimensions of the original for most printing. "Borderless" is a property of the Printer Setup. You need a printer that will print borderless. Otherwise you would print with page background (White or Color). Printing 4up at 4.25x5.5inches is going to need paper like 10x12inch as your four 4.25x5.5inch images are larger than an A4 or 8x10in page. You are in 'Picture Package' mode which prints the one photo in all cells on a page (ideal for printing multiple cards.).  Each additional photo selected on the filmstrip will print to a new separate page. When you add a photo cell to a page you can set its dimensions to 4.25x5.5inch [Adjust Selected Cell:].  You need to do this for each individual cell.  (Photo Border and Inner Stroke are options.) If you photos have not been cropped to the 4.25 x 5.5 RATIO then you would need to check the [Zoom to Fill] option that will match the 4.25 x 5.5inch cell (and possibly automatically crop some of your photo.). If the 'Fill' does remove some of the image, you can drag the photo in the cell with the mouse shile holding down the [Ctrl] key, for the image you want to print.       ... View more

Hi @Ashli38417458p0u2   I cringe when I see words like "I had them saved to lightroom" (and what Version of "Lightroom" is that?)  because image files are NOT saved to Lightroom-Classic.  When you Import images to the catalog from a hard-drive the Lr-Classic Catalog simply makes a reference to those files in their existing location (on a hard-drive).  If you Import from a camera card they will be copied to a hard-drive and also referenced in the catalog. Image files are never  'in Lightroom'. Lr-Classic only ever contains a database of previews for the original files on your hard-drives.   BIG problem:  If you deleted the disk the original files were stored on then your only hope is to restore them from a  backup of those files, or restore from the camera card it it has not been formatted. If not possible, those photos are 'gone'.   'After the update the entire album just disapeared."-  If there are no previews showing in the catalog (totally empty) then the upgrade may have created a new empty catalog (It does happen to some). Search your computer for other catalog files (File-type .LRCAT ). With more details of you system and what you are seeing you may get further advice.   ... View more

"external editors cannot be deleted in Lightroom (it is always "edited" " Problem- If the external editor in the dialog is showing  { External Name (Edited)  } then this (Edited) version does not yet exist as a permanent preset, so logically it cannot be deleted.
