Yes, the settings are local but one way to solve it is to copy the settings from your old pc to your new.    Go to C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\25.0 on your old pc. Copy the folder named Profile-UserName and place it on a USB stick. On the new pc, go to C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\25.0 Select the new folder Profile-UserName and delete it. (Move to Recycle Bin) Insert the USB stick and copy the old folder Profile-UserName from the old pc to the new pc.   The folder Profile-UserName is the folder were all your settings, keyboard shortcuts, etc are stored.    Test and report back if it worked as expected.   I was told in support that they are local settings, but I couldn't find any information on how to transfer the local settings to my new pc.   By @Jack Reátegui   ... @R Neil Haugen My take on this: The TS has been reporting all kind of odd issues for some days now that happen to Premiere Pro and the TS claims that absolutely nothing has to do with his computer/OS config. Many (all) times with an attitude as well when someone tries to help.   Since none of the issues have been reported earlier the conclusion is clear. There is indeed an issue with the TS computer/OS config. He writes that he has the Razer Synapse. (See first post) The Razer Synapse claims to have "Advanced Macro Capabilities". If the the Razer Synapse fire off a macro now and then depending on what key/key combination is pressed it may explain many, if not all of the issues.   The reason to why i think so: I have a Steelseries keyboard with macro capabilities that i never use. Some days ago the firmware got updated and the keyboard were resetted back to its original config that enabled macros. All of a sudden the Save As dialog popped up for no obvious reason when i pressed a key that never brings up the Save As dialog. More odd things happened as well in Premiere Pro because of this thing alone.   In short, when i had gone through resetting prefs, etc, etc i discovered that my keyboard seemed to fire off all kind of keystrokes when pressing other keys in all apps. I turned off the macro-blah-blah on the keyboard and *boom*, everything did go back to normal.   Macros can do just this, swithching windows, make spacebar do a different thing, making an app behave oddly when trying to use it, etc, etc. Press a key and something else happens...   It cannot be Premiere Pro alone in all his cases. O.k, that was interesting. This happen probably because Pr 23.6.8 conforms the files and create a proper media database that then are used by Pr 25.1 when you import the project. Not sure but almost...   One more thing you can try in Pr 25.1 is to close all projects and go to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache and click the Delete button under Remove Media Cache Files. This will delete the Media Cache Database and will force Premiere Pro 25.1 to re-conform you files again. This often helps.   So when done, try to open a project in Pr 25.1 that you know have files that are out of sync. Unfortunately there are two issues at the same time here...   The first is that the audio is gone that could be solved by installing the Dolby decoder. The second issue is that Premiere Pro 25 do play back the Dolby audio out of sync, and that´s a bug in Premiere Pro.    I updated to 25.1.0 (Build 73) two days ago and the small testing i did then was positive. The clips i imported did playback in sync. I am not sure yet that it is fixed since Pr 24 behaved the same. In Pr 24 some imported clips played back in sync only to playback out of sync the day after.   If you have Premiere Pro 25.1.0 you can try to launch it while holding down the Shift key and in the Reset options dialog that pops up check Clear media cahce files and then click on Continue. Open the project when done and let the files conform fully until you start to edit the project. And if you have 25.0, update to 25.1.   The 100%-working solution is to download Premiere Pro 23.6.8 from the Creative Cloud app. But then projects made in 24 or 25 won´t open, but starting new projects is flawless.   Did installing the Dolby decoder completely fix the problem?  By @wxthings   ... The default shortcut for "Send to Media Encoder" in Pr 25 is Alt+Shift+M so that may explain why it do not work. (Ctrl+Alt+M is for Clear Markers.)   I have tried several shortcuts with the letter M included in all of them, and as long as the Timeline is selected all shortcuts work. I did a test and all peak files were deleted as well. So, all files in the folder Media cache and Peak Files will be deleted. I never store pek/cfa files next to originals, i always store them on an internal disk. But i use internal disks for all my video work so i don´t know how it works when deleting Media Cache when having that option checked.   But you can delete the Media Cahce folder manually in a file browser and thus leave all pek files untouched. Go to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache to find out were your folders are located if you don´t know. Make sure that Premiere Pro is closed when doing it. The folder named Media Cache is the one you want to delete.   Whopping 55 TB footage in one project or 55 TB in many projects?     The "Media Cache files" means what in this instance?   Does that mean all the pek files, etc?  The ones next to the original media files?   My worry is that with 55TB of footage, it might take forever to recreate all the cache files.   By @Ross3888292368fh   ... That sounds like a corrupted Media Cache Database.   Hold down the Alt-key while launching Premiere Pro to get the Reset options dialog. Check Clear media cache files and click Continue. Open the project and do what you have to do and save the project and close Premiere Pro. Launch Premiere Pro again and see if it will promt you to relink anything and report back.     But nothing has changed, I already said that.  So can you give me any other reason it would be rescaning my media drives?  Nothing has changed in the folder struture/files for weeks. You don´t give any details so i can only guess, but it look like the audio in the files are Dolby Digital. All files with Dolby Digital audio are out of sync in Premiere Pro 2025. Select the file in the project panel and right click on it. Choose Modify > Interpret Footage and look for Pixel Aspect Ratio and set it to 1.0 by using "Conform to". For some reason the PAR today is 1.1851 and that´s an issue.   When done, try to drag the clip to the New Item icon down right in the Project panel and see how that sequence looks like.   ... It seems that your project is stored on an external disk so i assume that your files are there as well. What happens if you move some files to your internal disk and try to import.   Does the same thing happen if you import the same files from your internal disk? ... View more
