Hi! Welcome! By default video p[layers are configured to handle their own color settings. This means you'll get slightly different color representation in every player. To change to allow the video card to handle the video settings look in your video card's control panel. In my case, Windows 10 & NVIDIA, Control Panel>NVIDIA Control Panel>Video>Adjust video color settings>With NVIDIA Settings>Advanced> Change that setting to Full (0-255)

I should clarify, that in the sample you've given, they use a video as the rainbow layer. It's ink in water that gives the whispy look. What I've given is a very basic starter on that - how to get the colored look on the text.

Hi! You'll do this in After Effects. A tutorial on the basics, to get you started, is here: Use alpha channels, masks, and mattes in After Effects Here's the instructions though. 1) Use the text tool to make your type as you like it. 2) Import you petrol rainbow layer. One way to make an easy one is create a solid, add fractal noise, then add colorama. Then change the colors in the Output Phase. 3) Place the rainbow layer above the text layer. 4) Change the blending mode to Stencil Alpha OR duplicate the text layer and place the duplicate above the rainbow layer, then change TRKMAT to the rainbow layer. 5) Use a mask on the rainbow layer to do the reveal animation.

Hi! Here's a thread with a few different solutions that worked for people. After Effects error: (-1610153453) It doesn't look like you have any non-Latin characters in your path name. I'm guessing the I/O issue of reading & writing to one drive.

Fusion is VERY limited in plug-ins. Very limited. Also limited in the community. That said, in some cases Fusion's node-based workflow allows advanced users to do some things you need a plug-in for in AE. But, that's at a very high level.

What David is trying to say, but couldn't do so cordially, is that your machine is really underpowered for what you're trying to do. Looks like Lenovo Ideapad 100 has 4GB memory. Standard Renderer in 3D is a pretty intensive process. That may not 100% be the problem but troubleshooting an advanced process with a system that is EXACTLY at After Effect's minimum requirements is not going to return much useful data.

Why not use an RGBA pass of the ship on top of the Pre-Comp with blending mode set to Stencil Alpha? Then you can have your Blending Mode: Screen party with no black.

We actually both did offer solutions in: Me: It should be closer to 50. And him in Gutter: If you want full opacity at the bottom and feather at the top you're going to have to increase the scale alot or constrain the feather to the top edge only. You could do that with the mask feather tool or with another gradient layer used as a trakMat Essentially you have a very small solid. You are drawing a mask. Then feathering it. Feather works inward and outward from the mask. You are revealing the edge of the layer by having a feather that is larger than the layer. Maybe "increase the scale a lot" by making the layer Comp size (or larger) then draw a mask that has plenty of bleed on all sides. Alternatively, you can "constrain the feather to the top edge only." Whatever it is maybe "make the feather around 50."

Your feather is HUGE - 1k in a Comp that is probably 1080 tall. It should be closer to 50.

Hi and welcome! I think it may be a great idea to start with Get to know After Effects | That grey screen is the area around your composition. It's just the After Effects UI. The still of the illustration is because you have not keyframed the illustration. The slider effect you have applied, my guess, is not connected to anything. That effect is used primarily for controlling expressions and I think you should brush up on the fundamentals first. To make it move you will want to keyframe the position of the PreComp OR parent the PreComp to the Null then keyframe the position of the null.

The text and frame are different layers. Animate the frame separately. It might be easiest to do the rough animation of the frame and text together. then offset the keyframes of the text by a few frames and then use the graph editor to get the nice floaty look on both the frame and the text.

Hi! Welcome! If you're just starting out It may be good to start here: Get to know After Effects | So, from your description it' hard to discern what exactly is happening. My guess is that you have multiple triangles imported as footage, not as a layered comp OR if its a layered comp then you used compound paths. Check out a few tutorials on using comps and vector files in AE

Hi! Welcome, there's quite a few ways. Two of the easier would be: 1) Create the drawing using the pen tool. This creates a shape layer. Add "Trim paths" and animate the trim path completion. This will have the strokes draw on all at once. A second would be 2) Import the image, use Auto Trace and get a series of masks. Apply Stroke. Use All masks. Animate "End." this will have them draw on sequentially. You may need to move around the mask layers so that they draw on in the order you want.
