Exactly which version of Audition do you have?   I'm not sure what your comment about paid for it has to do with your problem, sorry!   The point that @SteveG_AudioMasters_ was making is that you have to have full Administrator rights on your computer; that's nothing at all to do with who paid for the app.  So, is your account on your computer an "Administrator " account, not just a "User" account?  If the latter, who holds an Administrator account for your machine?  I think you would need to ask them to delete that temp folder or its contents. ... I have the latest updated audition and am using a focus right usb audio interface. The play back will just stop out of nowhere while the tracks seems to still be "playing" but i cannot hear anyuthing? I have been dealing with this for so long and at this point am ready to just ditch this program and switch to cubase. Its infuriating. I coinstantly have to prerender tracks even though im working off a 3000 dollar pc. then if not all the tracks are prerendered it will play for a second then sound will cut in playback, forcing me to prerender every file seems to work. but now every file is prerendered and its still acting up. So tired of this garbage. does anyuone have a solution? I cant even work on this thing... no wonder its not industry standard. I have listened to both of the extracts you posted and I fail to hear very much, if any, difference between the two!  Yes, the second has clearly been made "louder", but, to me at least, it does not sound "distorted".   So, inevitable question: what are you using to listen to the two extracts?  Is it possible that, whatever it is, those "loud" sounds are actually causing the speakers/headphones/ear buds/whatever you are using to "distort" because their drivers are being overloaded?   I even downloaded your files and opned them in Audition CC (latest version) and still could not really hear anything I would even remotely term "robotic distortion".  However, what I did notice in the spectrum analysis window is that you have quite a lot of sub-150 Hz "noise". Where, exactly, are those files saved?  If you are using cloud storage for them it is more than likely that connection to the cloud server has been lost, hence the message.   If you are using cloud storage the advice here is always to first download them all to your computer and then work on them.   If the files are being saved locally, are they on an internal or external (e.g., USB) drive?  Is the drive "working properly"? ... Does your external USB audio soundcard have a dedicated ASIO driver?  If so, have you installed it and selected it in Audition's options?   If the card manufacturer does not offer an ASIO driver, you could see if installing ASIO4All and selecting it as the driver for your soundcard would help.   ... Assuming you are wanting to use your keyboard as a MIDI keyboard to connect to Audition, that is not possible, sorry.  Audition has no facility to use MIDI.   You can take the audio output of your keyboard into Audition (byconnecting the audio outs of your keyboard to whatever you are using as your audio input) but not the MIDI output.   En supposant que vous souhaitiez utiliser votre clavier comme clavier MIDI pour vous connecter à Audition, ce n'est pas possible, désolé. I'm not a Mac owner/user but I see your screenshot points to your iCloud folder.  Have you checked whether the missing file is saved on your computer, rather than to the iCloud?   Incidentally, assuming you save to the iCloud as your default, it is always advised in these forums that such a practice is far from ideal!  You should save the file locally and then, if required, back it up to your cloud storage. ... .  My interface is now exhibiting some odd behavior.  Audtion plays program sound through it, no problem, but system sounds aren't getting through.   By @ABBloch   I wonder whether System Sounds might have been at least part of the cause of your problems previously??   As a "default" I was always told that System Sounds should be turned permanently off!  By their very nature they can be intrusive and also have a habit of potentially wreaking havoc with your "wanted" audio playback and settings. ...
