Hi! What wall do you want to put the tapestry on? I think the simplist tool to use is the Polygonal Lasso Tool. Make your selection, then if you want to, you can save it by choosing Select>Save Selection, and have it available if you need to redo the changes. With the selection active, Make sure you have a new layer active, and then you can either fill with a new color, or use the Hue/Saturaton Adjustment layer and use your saved selection to create a mask to only have the color where you want it.   If you want to put a tapestry, then I agree with the suggestion above to import it into a new layer, and then use Transform>Distort to change it to the correct perspective.   Here is an example of the bottom part of the counter, using the Polygonal Lasso tool, and then once I had a selection, I clicked on the Hue/Saturation Adustment layer and it automatically created the layer mask in the shape I created. I am glad to hear that you can print. We can adjust the settings in Photoshop when you create the pdf to give you better color and better quality. Here are the settings I use if I am saving out a pdf from Photoshop.   When you choose Save As PDF from the Photoshop Save As Menu, in the General Panel, at the top, choose PDF/X-1a:2001. You can actually try the many different presets to see if one works better than the one I am showing you here. You might try High Quality (if you did not use that one before.)     Then Click on Output: I usually choose Sheetfed Coated because it is the closest to what I am going to print on. If you see an option foryour Printer, you might also be able to choose that. I realize this is not solving your original problem, but I hope it will be a good work around for you.   Once you try these options, let us know if the output is a higher quality and if the color is any better, or if you have any quesitons. I realize this is not the answer to your problem, but if you are in a pinch while waiting for the answer, have you tried saving your Photoshop file as a pdf and printing it from Acrobat? Hi! Have you tried adjusting hte number in the  Paragraph Style panel? 1. Go to the "Paragraph Style" panel (Window > Paragraph Styles).  2. Click the "Create New Style" button if you haven't already created a numbered list style. Adjust the starting number: In the "Paragraph Style" panel, click on the "Bullets and Numbering" option.  Under "List Type," ensure "Numbering" is selected.  In the "Numbering Style" section, check that the "Start" value is set to the number you want to start with. Hi! Do you need to send your layered file to work? If not, just flattening the image and saving it as a .psd file will save you lots of room, which then you can upload it to a site like WeTransfer, or Dropbox and not be worried about compression. Or if you have a large enough Dropbox account, you would not even have to flatten it. I am, like you, concerned about any time I add compression to a file. You may not see any issues now, but I am not sure if a file is affected every time you compress it like a jpg file comession. I would be interested in the comments by others here in the forums to see their opinion, but I am not a fan of compressing anything unless it is the final output, and I aways keep my original files.  Michelle ... Someone else will have to speak to why you are experiencing the changes in the new version of Photoshop. I am not sure if the new version is compressing your file differently than from before. But I would like to make one suggestion, and that is always save your original Photoshop file. Just like editing a photo with layers and then saving it out to a jpg, you don't delete your original in case you ever want to make changes, I think the same rule of thumb applies. Michelle  ... That might be helpful to see! Even though it is the same version of Photoshop, the silicon version is a different OS build than the intel mac version. Since this is happening in the non beta version too, this is probably something the team will have to look at to fix. Hi! Along with the great suggestion that @sameer gave you above, here is something to think about as you are working on your photo. Our eyes are naturally drawn to things that are in focus and away from things that are soft or blurry. Whatever you do to the backgournd, I would suggest (unless the background is an important part of the image) to keep it soft, and keep your subjects in sharp focus.
