Hi James, The applications will not run natively on Mac OSX. With Creative Cloud, your license allows you to download and install either Windows or Mac, but there's still a different application for each OS. Prior to CS6, you needed a separate license to run on Mac vs. Windows. So, given your pending purchase of a MacBook Pro, you could install Parallels and Windows, and run CS4; or you could upgrade to Creative Cloud and run everything natively. Mike

Hi, Adobe Reader DC is free and doesn't include the "organize page" tool. is it possible you paid for Adobe Acrobat DC? Acrobat includes full editing capabilities, including organizing pages. But, it is a separate download from Reader. Hi Annie, The Wacom Intuos Pro tablets and the Cintiq displays are magnificent professional products, and the Apple Pencil has a long way to go to come close to the capabilities of the Wacom products. The Wacom pens have sensitivity of 2048 pressure levels, and depending on the pen, can track not only position and tilt, but rotation. Apple doesn't say how many levels of pressure sensitivity the Pencil has, but using both side by side there is a notable difference far in favor of Wacom. The Apple pencil has no buttons, and requires charging, again in sharp contrast to the Wacom products. If you want to make Illustrator and Photoshop truly dance, you can't go wrong with a Wacom professional tablet or display (I'm excluding the consumer level Wacom tablets here). That said, the Pencil is far superior to any other stylus available for the iPad. So for me, when I'm working on my iPad, I use my Pencil and love it. When I'm doing serious pixel or vector work on my desktop/laptop, my Wacom pen is firmly in my grasp. Mike

You can use the pencil in place of your finger for most actions on the iPad (other than slide in from the edge actions). The Pencil is supported with pressure sensitivity for the Adobe mobile apps like Photoshop Fix, Photoshop Mix, and Photoshop Sketch. It's very nice with those apps. Still, it's a long way from a Wacom Cintiq and the full desktop applications. And the full desktop LR and PS do not run on the iPad at all. Mike

Hi James, It can be confusing, for sure. But, I do want to point out that the $215 is not for Adobe Reader DC - That price is for Adobe Acrobat DC. The Reader application is a free download. It can view and you can comment on PDFs, but that is all. Acrobat DC, desktop version (no subscription) can create PDFs from a variety of sources, and you have full editing capability. This includes adding security to your documents either with passwords or certificates. You pay a one time cost, and get a serial number to activate it. Acrobat DC, subscription version, adds the cloud connectivity, giving you sign and track, document cloud storage, and related cloud features. You pay a monthly fee, and sign in with your Adobe ID (no license key required), and have full access to the cloud features including mobile sync. I hope that helps. Mike

The Adobe statement near the top of this page, seems pretty clear to me: "Only customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products may use the serial numbers provided during the download." I'd say, if you want to work with Lightroom, you don't want the duplicates in iPhoto. You also don't (as a guideline) want to keep your LR images on the desktop, develop a strategy for storing photos and put them all in a place that is easily accessed and easily backed up. Mike

HI all, I've noticed that Russell Brown has started a very cool series of videos on his Behance site, all talking about using the Adobe mobile apps like Lightroom, Photoshop Fix, Photoshop Mix, etc as part of an all-mobile workflow. Here's the link: Russell Brown's Mobile Tips on Behance I've been trying to learn and develop my own mobile workflow as well - I really like traveling with my iPhone and iPad Pro (and Apple Pencil), vs lugging the full DSLR around when I'm traveling. Anyone have any good tips or apps to use in this sort of workflow? Russell mentions some camera apps (for slow shutter, HDR, etc) and I'm wondering what folks are using and liking out there. Chime in and let me know how you approach your mobile photography workflow. I'd love to hear your take on this new and "developing" way of approaching photography. Mike

I agree with Paul; it sounds like you want quick selection. After pressing "Q" to toggle quick mask mode, you'll paint or draw with any brush or other painting tool, using white color to select and black color to deselect. The mask shows in rubylith (red) color everywhere except where you are selecting (selected areas are normal color). Another "Q" toggles back to normal selection mode with the marching ants. There's also an icon on the toolbar to toggle Quick Mask. Here's an image showing the sky selected in Quick Mask mode. The quick mask tool icon is highlighted with the arrow: Mike

‌I really love Adobe Voice, and as Tricia said, when kids are the narrators, it's precious! My grand daughter was working on a 2nd grade project where she had to "invent" a product made from sustainable rain forest materials. She chose to make some orange chocolate candies! We hd almost as much fun making the Voice presentation, which was her advertisement, as we did making the candies (which turned out well!) Brad, it's phone or tablet, and the more I can do on my iPad (whenever and wherever I happen to be), the better. For me, I already have 20-25 collections synced with LR Mobile, so there wasn't any additional work to do. I was out and about, away from my desktop machine, and able to create a cool starter video on the spot, with images already on my iPad. Brad, I just tried it and it worked really well. I grabbed a collection of images in LR Mobile that I had previously synced from my desktop. Nearly 100 images that were all from my DSLR originally. I sent the collection to Premiere Clip (using my iPad) and boom! Seconds later my little video was ready to go. The cool part is that you can send it right back to Premiere Pri on the desktop. I can see many possibilities with this. Just another tool in the ever more interconnected workflow across my devices. Mike
