Wow--OK. I think I got it. Strangely enough, even when you delete the layer, they are still there. Finally selected them one at a time, and it turns out they are paths. So I deleted them that way. Thanks for your help!

Here is a template from Vistaprint that I am trying to work with. It says to remove guides before saving. My understanding is that you remove them by going to View, Guides, Clear Guides. I have done that and I can still see the red and blue bleed and trim lines. I also tried deleting them in Layers panel. I don't work with Illustrator much at all so perhaps I am not doing this correctly. The reason I ask is that I sent Vistaprint something on which I thought I had removed the guides--but they showed up on the preview for the document. Thanks! EDIT: Here is the image.

I've been looking all over the Internet for a frame like the one in the photo. I'm looking in Shutterstock and Adobe Stock, but nothing has come up. It seems to me it should be fairly simple to make one myself. Can it be done in InDesign? If so, can anyone tell me the easiest way to do this? Thank you very much!

I'm posting the resolution in case it helps someone else. As it turned out, we were NOT disconnected. The tech at Adobe figured out that the problem was my downloads folder. Moved the exe file to the desktop and it worked fine. There was some sort of administrative issue with the downloads folder.

I tried a different browser, but got the same result. I'm on Windows 10. I am on a work computer and can't turn off the firewall. I was able to reinstall PSE 14 last week without issues.

Oh dear...I have tried that link and the installer says it's "damaged." I was just on a chat for nearly a whole hour with Adobe, which just got closed down and now says it's "Unavailable." The representative at Adobe also sent me to the page with the download. The same thing happened. I don't understand what's going on.

I am attempting to download the PSE 2020 trial. I have PSE 2014 on my computer. Nothing happens when I click "Download Now". Is 2014 interfering with the trial download? Or do I not qualify for a download because I already have 2014?

I'm not sure what you mean by a threaded frame, but each frame is an individual one. They are not linked in any way.

I really don't know what's going wrong. I've tried both methods and the same thing keeps happening as before, including that little plus sign reappearing. EDIT: I think the problem may be in the old document. I opened my new document,and it works just fine.

OK, I found that there was a character style, so I deleted it. My style sheet worked at that point, so far as going to 24 points. Then, I tried changing fonts, to test it out again. Whenever I do that, the little plus sign indicating an override appears next to my style. I am able to remove the override, but is there a way in which I won't have to keep removing ovverrides? Thanks!

I'm working on a photo book for 2019. I still have the one I created in 2018, and would like to use the same paragraph styles. So I have created a style sheet for the photo captions, which are 24 points. I'm trying to test it out by changing fonts on then trying to apply it. However, it either 1) doesn't change the font to the designated paragraph style; or 2) changes it to the correct font, but 18 points instead of 24. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

OK, I think I've figured it out. It IS the version of ID. Apparently, there does not seem to be a plug-in for ID 2019. I've contacted Blurb and hopefully they can straighten it out. Thanks again!

hi, Randy: I am able to open InDesign, and when I use my search function, it leads me to that little ID icon. When I double click on the icon, it open ID. There's an option to choose an executable. That's when I am getting the screenshot. Hmm...I just thought of something: I do have CC, but my version of InDesign, in the start menu, says, InDesign 2019. Could that be the problem?

I can't find my executable file for ID in Creative Cloud. I'm in the Program Files but I don't see it. I am trying to download a Blurb plug-in to create a book, and I need to find it in order to install the plug-in. Have never run into this issue before... I am using Windows 10. I did find the ID icon in Program Files, under Adobe. However, when I try to install the Plug-In for Blurb Indesign CC, I get this (see screenshot):

I'm about to start a photo book (Blurb). I will need to adjust the Brightness/Contrast in each photo, as well as resizing them.
I've got both vertical and horizontal photographs, and they will all be 300 dpi for the project.
What is the best way to do this?
I've considered making an adjustment layer for the Brightness thing.
Then I thought perhaps I should make an action for Brightness/Contrast.
There must be an easy way to do this rather than opening each photo and fixing it individually.
The last couple of times I made a photo book, that is exactly what I did, and as I have over 100 photos, I want to simplify the process. Thank you!

I need to set up a postcard with the following: Bleed Area: 4.29” x 5.98” Trim: 4.13” x 5.83” Safe Area: 3.97" x 5.66" It's a 4" x 6" portrait oriented postcard. It's been about 8 or 9 years since I've had to do this. I'm embarrassed to say, I don't remember how to set a document up like this. Should the size of the document actually be 4.29" x 5.98"? Can someone walk me through this, please? (I am working in what is probably the latest version of Creative Suite). Thank you!

I was just trying to select an element on a page, and I wasn't sure which tool to use. I opted for the Magic Wand. When I clicked on it, another tool was available to select. I decided NOT to use the Wand--and now the other tool has vanished. I don't even remember what tool it was. Yikes! How do I get it back (whatever it was)? Thank you!
