I am having a similar problem.  When I try to type text on a page which has a graphic master nothing shows. I can draw a frame, but I can't put any text in it. Hello again, I thought I had answered this post with all the system info, but I do not see it here so am posting again. I reset the Preferences. I tried the Object Finder again, but the little twirly thing just spins and spins and nothing happens. I tried selecting with the Rectangular selection tool, but the system just crashed. I am having the same problem. Every time I try to use the object finder PS crashes. I have to use the Task Manager to exit PS. I have tried turning the object finder off and drawing a rectangle, but that causes PS to crash as well. Very frustrating. Thank you to TheDigitalDog, So I deleted the preferences. I also updated my Graphics Card. I’ve cleaned out the cache and run a Support Assist script from Dell. It is a little bit faster … 3 minutes to select a sky in ACR masking rather than 4-6, so this might have helped a bit. I tried Sky Replacement in PS, and that is working fine. This Select Sky is working fine in PS using the Select Menu.   So, as I was not having a problem with this function until this latest update, I think there must be a bug in the ACR software that is causing this.
