Yes, this is not very clear. I guess the logic is this: When you save a vector into the library, its like when you created a symbol. The instances you pull out of the library is linked to that original file, thats why it creates an uneditable image. So if you modify the original in the library, it affects the instances in all the documents that use it. So if you want to modify vector, you need to make and unlinked copy of the original library vector using the alt/option + dragging. I hope this makes it more clear. ... View more

I've had the same problem for at least 4 weeks (and I think it's been longer). I click on the Comments icon on the sidebar and then wait anywhere from 30-60 seconds for them to finally appear. I can do other things while I'm waiting (it doesn't freeze the computer) so I have a "work around" but it's ridiculous.
