Good evening!I have a question! Tell me please? what is the reason of using updated flash player 11.3, but when I switching on-line videos (youtube or anything else) my laptop completely freezes and only reboot helps? But when I use an old player 10.3 nothing freezes but laptop works worse. And the Windows 7 maximum 32bit Service Pack 1 is reinstalled. I use the browser FireFox.Thank you for your help.
The constant tinkering with the Adobe User forums has resulted in this less than ideal mess of a Forum Format. The tinkerers seem to be set on some 'FEATURE CREEP' agenda that benefits the back stage of the forum process. eg datamining, data sharing, data gathering. None of that serves the users one iota. The latest forum format seems to be written and designed by those that have no idea how a "real conversation" works in "real life". They probably have only ever communicated electronically ...txt, tweet, email, blog etc. In fact they probably never have had face to face communication experiences. Any forum should replicate a conversation . ie an OPEN exchange of thoughts and ideas. One needs to know who one is conversing with is a good example. Of the forums I participate in...the Adobe forums went from the best forum experience to the worst. Sack the jive coach!Thoughts from a longtime Adobe Product user and Forum participant
I posted a message (my BitDefender can't scan the Adobe program files due to password protection). I couldn't add attachment, then the message appeared with my name as a Community Member, then I tried to edit it, and it said that I wasn't authorized to post here. What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Laci.
Hey Adobe folk -In the various Premiere Pro forums that I frequent, it looks like there's a bit of inconsistency with the "discussion" and "overview" modes of viewing. If I start at the top level of the Premiere forum and click on, say, the CS5, CS5.5, & CS6 section, it opens it defaulting to "overview" mode, as seen below:If I read a post and then use the links at the top of the page to return to the forum menu:It returns me to the right place, but it's in "discussion" view mode:The rest of the Premiere forums are like that as well. Is that intentional?jas
The Muse feature request forum had a poll that was voted on by a handful of people. Trolls entered and started arguing nonsense in the comment area.Instead of wiping out just the vicious posts and leaving the relevant poll votes, some moderator wiped everything. Is it possible to delete the arguing and just leave the poll voting?http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1572I was under the impression that feature polls were valuable to developers. I don't think the moderator intended to wipe out the votes.
The new forum is a vast improvement in terms of performance—it screams in comparison to the Jive molasses we had been putting up with and it's very easily customizable in Firefox through a number of scripts and AdBlock Plus. The images below show what a customized topic index page and an customized open thread page look like in Firefox 3.6.28 (the last Firefox release to support a Power Mac PPC) look like, respectively. OS is 10.4.11. These are very welcome changes.
Hello all,as you can see with the following screen grabs, sometimes it's hard to see the text of an opening thread if there are too many tags applied. Especially on a laptop with view port of around 800px width or less. Up to a point where you can see nothing at all:Browser: Firefox on Mac OSX 10.6.8.Uwe
Hello,After a few hours of messing around trying to figure out why I couldnt log into these forums with IE9, but could with Chrome, I found that when I deselected "Enable Protected Mode" in my Security tab in Internet options, I was able to log in no problem.I was wondering what option in Protected Mode might be conflicting with allowing me to sign into these forums. I can't post anything if I have that selected either.I dont mind too much having it off for adobe, but I am curious what might be causing it.Thank you for your help.Edit: I found that adding www.adobe.com and forums.adobe.com to my trusted sites list fixes the issue and allows me to have enable protected mode selected still.
With the new format if you want to find another forum you have to click the red Adobe icon (in itself not obvious). Then after some searching you find Forum link in one of the topics of Learning.Users have a hard enough time replying to correct Forum, lets not make it that difficult to find the Forum Link.Recommend going back to the old style where there was a black FORUMS on the main page.
Where is access to the Search facility hidden?
The new one's better than the old one. However, the constant frustration I still have on these forums is not being able to copy something from somewhere, anywhere, and paste it into a text I'm writing. I'm so used to using the right click copy/paste thing - it's common to the whole internet, but not here.
I actually have little patience with people whining whenever stuff looks wrong on their iPad, so I'm so pleased that this new forum theme is designed to make it so easy for them to read posts.....From my iPad.....
Is there no threaded view option? It's very difficult to follow threads when earlier posts can be inserted above, and no indenting shows the thread structure.
How do I recover all the screen real estate wasted by the vertical frame on the right in this new forum design? -- Roy Zider
Before the Lr forum was altered, the line showing whose post it was also contained an indication of whose post was being addressed, but now this feature has gone. Occassionally this was useful, particularly in a popular and very crowded thread where the posts were flowing fast and furiously.Anyone else miss this feature?.
When i sign in and try to modify my account information, the progess circle (which appears when loading 'My Information' page, see attached image) does not disappear.Because of this I cannot modify my account information. I deleted cookies and internet usage histories, tried with different browsers, but didn't work. Please fix it or tell me how can I solve this problem.
I've got to say, the forum just feels broken as it is.And I'm not just talking about little formatting glitches needing cleaning up. I'm talking about the fairly significant number of features that have gone missing, such as listing who a reply is to, listing the post and points counts, etc.More broken than it did.My question is this: Is what we see what we're going to get, or are we in transition to something better?-Noel
Please reinstate this feature. One does not know who is anwering who.
A month ago I bookrmarked a few threads using the Jive bookmarks feature. Now I can't seem to find the bookmarks feature at all. What happened?
With the latest update (which I like overall) to the forums I have noticed there are three types of users. Community Member, Community Professional, and Adobe Employee. While I understand all three I am a bit curious as to what is the distinguishing factor for a Community Member from a Community Professional?
This is a unnecessary step.I know in which forum i am.When i press New discussion i want the box to appear not some extra choices.
How can I change my email adress on my adobe account ?
Just wanted to report that the forums are slow as molasses in winter this afternoon in the West Coast of the USA today. It's taking anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds or more for a new page to download.Only mentioning this because it was blindingly fast yesterday.
I've seen this a few times since Monday's update. OP's Subject displays fine but the question below it is blank. If I disable CSS, I can see the unstyled question. Example: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1000803?tstart=0Screenshot from FF12:Nancy O.
