Using the Community

I am so eager to try out the CS5 Master collection! But I have a few dilemas and questions. (as I am sure a lot of others do)#1, I have purchased two Premium suites. CS3 Web Premium when it came out and CS4 Production earlier this year. (in February) ... Does anybody know what the cheapest way will be to get my hands on CS5 Master Collection? I hope that Adobe will consider a new Upgrade price for those of us who have purchased CS3 and CS4. If not, I guess my best option would be to sell my new CS4 on ebay and upgrade the CS3?#2, I have 3 computers. (2 laptops, 1 desktop) I will need my Adobe products on at least two of them. -- Does anybody know how well this will work out? Like if I am using Dreamweaver CS5 at the office and forget to log off at the end of the day, will I be able to use it when I get home to my other laptop? Or will I have to drive back to the office and somehow deactivate that copy?

Is it just me?I am being logged out several times an hour and needing multiple attempts to log back in.Is there some maintenance going on?Should I give up until tomorrow?

I was trying to layout a table using an Indesign custom script in CS4. Lately in the Adobe Reader forum, there has been a rash of people asking questions about "deployment" of updates and how to modify the patches for pushing over a network.It's just my opinion, but this is a "user to user" forum for everyday people who are having issues with the software and need help without having to pay for technical support.Someone who is "pushing a patch" over a network to hundreds of end users is:Not an everyday user.Being paid by someone else to push the updates.Being paid to modify the patches so they can do so.In such cases, there is an employer who is not only mandating the things stated above but reaping the benefits from having a professional do them for them.These employers should be paying Adobe Support to bring their people up to speed on how to "push" patches over the network in the way the employer wants it doneI'm not a network administrator (other than my five systems at home), I'm not an I/T professional (yet), and I don't write C++ or create APIs.I'm

I want to do a live drawing for an audience, working in Illustrator. Does anyone know of a way I could show the drawing evolving in real time, but with out showing my whole desktop, toolbars etc. I want to show a nice clean screen with nothing but the artwork on it. All ideas gratefully received!

I have an immense number of Freehand files dating back to the beginning. If I could just open Freehand 7 or 8 forward, it would sure beat trying to recreate the work in Illustrator 5. I don't expect a Freehand upgrade, but since you own the program, is an import utility too much to ask for?

Does anyone else feel that the cost for upgrades is ridiculously highly?Adobe has a great product CS but over the past few versions, I have felt that the changes to the new versions don't warrant the $800 - 1000+ costs for the upgrades. Those prices are more warranted for new full versions, but upgrades for 1 or 2 versions back should be 1/4 of what they are charging.

Where does one go to get a forum account straightened out? Set-up:I'm running a fast machine (i7CPU 920@2.67 GHz - it has 4 cores) with lots of ram (12 gig) on a cleanly installed system 7, nothing else running in the background at this point). Three hard drives - main application drive (640 gig) and two raid 0 1 tB drives for video storage.) My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 260. I have updated all computer drivers and am running newest version of adobe CS4 (4.21).Problem:Whenever a project gets to a certain size (say 50-80 clips) my computer freezes. I don't have the problem on smaller projects - but when I get near a threashold it continually freezes.  My clips are HD files (1080p and the source files can be between 30 and 50 gigs on larger projects). I don'tbelieve it is a corruption or caompatibility problem as it only happens on larger projects. Same problem happened on Vista as well - don't think it's a windows issue.Questions:1. Is there an optimum set-up / configuration for CS4 ( i thought I was close - but obviously I'm not) to

I'm noticing a Run Count of 2 beside the test i'm working and only the one I'm working on.  Why is it running twice?  How did I do that?  I was thinking it would only run once.  Where do I configure this?

I have windows XP and I recently installed a 9 version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Since then a receive the following error message: "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.  Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required."  I had installed the 9 version.  Any idea why this is happening or more importantly, what should I do to fix it?

I am using my account as normal and noticed today that I can't edit anything I post because there's another account with some extensiondan.biran-O6kKQK that does the post for me so I can't fix my posts... so there's a profile that I don't have access to and it hinders me from correcting my posts.

It is about 2 months that I payed for my DVD Elements 8,still nothing.I wrote a emails but no answer at all.Finaly I call office in Paris and they let me downloaded but then the MP4 files dont work .Adobe,you really did a great work,I think that you should think a little bit about what are you doing.There a lots of others who did a great work for less money,I am shure that this is the last time I bought something from you.

After about 20 characters Jive inserts an automatic carriage return.  Very annoying.I have found that if I press enter twice before I start my message I do not get this annoying feature.Has anyone else found this works for them?I am using the latest Firefox browser in Vista.
