I hope that this time of the year, starting today and ending in three months on the day, with its many different celebrations of the prevalence of good and of the new year, all having a strong emphasis on friendship and good wishes, will also bring good times to the forums in every way.I send my best wishes to everyone that reads this, banned or not, here at the beginning of this long night, with snow glittering under the new moon.

I got an email saying i got a private message but i cant figure out why when i' go to my inbox there isnt anything there. Can someone give me a hand.

I use Thunderbird, and I was wondering if there was any way to have email notifications sorted into threads. It's really hard to follow conversations through email, since without threads they're divorced of context.If there's no way to get email threading working, are there any plans to implement this feature in the future?

I'm running Windows 7 Home 32 bit edition with firefox as my main browser. I can NOT getFlash 10 to install and work. Its driving me rather batty seeing as sites always seem to have flash content now. I've 'installed' it VIA the download manager many times. Uninstalled Flash totally, spent 30 minutes scouring this site for an up to date EXE file and installed from that. When flash 10 installs from the download manager it says it installed succesfully. And on that page that pops up right after I can see the little flash video that it says I should see if it worked properly. So why wont it work on any other website? After 3 days of this I'm rather tired of the matter.

HelloHave I done a catastrophic mistake by being too late to re-activate my Adobe creative suite?I have had computer problems. When I in the end bought a new computer and tried to install Adobe, the re-activation time had run out.I did have a possibility to re-activate it off course, but didnt do it immidiately, since I was about to re-install everything in the new computer, and then problems arouse that delayed everything ...and then suddenly it was to late.I will contact support by phone tomorrow. But if someone can ease my pain, by hinting that it is possible to re-activate it, I will get some sleep tonight...cheers/Johan

Dear all,I have recently developed some visual effects (mainly transitions) that are both Mac and PC compatible as well as Final Cut Pro/Motion and Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects compatible.I have read in the past countless posts about people looking for these effects/transitions (camera light leaks and other light transitions).While I would be delighted to show here, to Adobe Premiere users, a wide range of these fx,  I am aware that I cannot choose this venue for such purpose since they are not completely for free (though they are sold for a ridiculous price).So the question is, what site would be best to provide Adobe Premiere users with web links and info about these new transitions of mine so that users have the freedom and advantage to take a look?I am a FCP (6.0.5) user and Premiere Pro (1.5) user.Thank you in advance for any suggestion,Luca

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and Adobe 9 came with the software package for new computer. Everytime I try to download a pdf file from Internet explorer it times me out and I end up with an error message   "there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please close and try again later."  and no pdf. Explorer closes and I have to try again all over again.Any help out there would be great 

I confess that it is really annoying that this information is not readily available.I have Photoshop Elements 6 for OS X. Is there an upgrade price for Photoshop Elements 8? I'm pretty sure I'm not going to pay full price, even with a rebate, for new versions.Thanks.

Today, March 10, 2010, the Adobe fora are offline, more than online. In the past, this has signaled something being done - updates, etc. Usually after these, log-ins are smurfed, screen names are changed, line-breaks appear without direction or warning, things do not work right any more.Maybe they are just reinstating the Attach File capability, but now I look to this as a bad sign - as John Fogerty crooned, Bad Moon Rising.Will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings. I will be interested to see what has changed.Hunt

It would be nice to retain an existing avatar while it's replacement is awaiting moderator approval. As it is one must delete the existing avatar first and use one of the standards while awaiting approval. Hi!I have my original "dorin_nicolaescu" account with history avatar etc. wihch one day became "dorin_nicolaescu-PVFkNa". I logged out and back in and found myself in a new "dorin_nicolaescu" account with the same Adobe ID (e-mail) and password but no history, avatar, point etc.I'm trying to login again and again to restore my history with no success.Dear admins, please help.EDIT: Also, I've never used a more troublesome forum than this.

Ya, I knowm it says Jive.This forum refuses to work with Opera, either for Windblows or Solaris 10 x86 Unix.  This area for entering the post does not show up.I had to start Exploder and I HATE Exploder.What is even more stupid is the catch-22 in that the forum software is used for the feedback.  If the forum is broken, how the Hell is someone supposed to be able to let anyone know that it is broken.If Adobe wants great forum software, they should use what AVSForum uses.  It works with any and all browsers.

The following problems that I am reporting, have always existed with the new forum, for all versions of Firefox and Safari on mac.Interestingly, since this is mainly a design and art forum, my only conculsion is that the forum must have been designed to run smoothly on Windows PC browsers, with some lazy work on the mac side? Why this is, is anyones guess. Anyway …1. Conventional mac typing allows for the Option (alt) key, with the left and right arrow keys - the cursor will then skip quickly between words. All applications support this. This essential shortcut is not available on this forum. My main annoyance.2. Sometimes while typing the line just breaks for no reason. It's then sometimes impossible to join the two sections of type with delete. Suggesting that there is some basic problem with the stucture of the type, and the conventional carriage return character. Indeed copying and pasting text is  difficult to do, because it creates weird unresolvable glitches.3. There is a g

With the last 2 versions (last update yesterday) of Firefox I have had problems with "Server Not Found" or "Unable to Connect" or some other variation.  This happens on 2 computers with 2 different OS.  It usually happens initially when I try to connect to Adobe or some other site.  Once I get a connection to some site, any site, then I can go back and connect with the "Server not found" site just fine.  Seems like it needs to be trained how to work.It is very annoying and wonder if others have experienced this.  I do not like MS Explorer, but am considering a move to another browser.  My wife has gone to Google Chrome (as she inadvertly downloaded it last week) and the "Server not found" problem dissapeared. What browsers are better than Firefox now, or is there some setting I need to tweek?Thanks.

Hi All,I am trying to search in PDF file but getting 0 result. The same query is working fine with *.htm,*.html,*.doc etc... type of documents.I am using Adobe reader 8.2 on Windows Vista SP2. There seems to be no option to attach files in the Reader forum. Is this intentional?

HiI am currently studying IT at college and I am designing a website on dreamweaver but I have created it and it works fine in Internet Explorer but when I open it in Firefox some of the div tags move over to the side. I have used wrapper to keep them from moving about on IE but it doesn't seem to work on Firefox.Can anyone help me out please, I haven't done a website before so I don't know that much about everything.Thanks in advance

If I want bay Adobe 9.0 extended, why have I to pay more than customers in USA, nearly double, in fact because I'm a Norwegian. This I don't like! Adobe did some hefty things many years ago, they made PDF open. This is the successes of Adobe, I think that scarily any software vendor has succeeded as Adobe and it's grounded on freedom and open source (embrace them, they were of the few first), Adobe wouldn't be today without open format.I  don't need the Norwegian version, just need the code page and it has to be  implemented anyway, if the vendor is serious . There is somebody who have to much salary, both in Norway  and USA.If I shall use Adobe, I need documentation, it's in "English -US", so what - this is to dumb and greedy! hi there.thanks for taking the time to read this.I am studying web development at university and am looking for some clear information on the pro's and cons of Flash CS4 compared with other multi media platforms. I have chosen MS Silverfox to compare it to as i thought it should be pretty easy but i can't find the info i need. What i need is a full list of all the features on both Flash and Silverlight, I can only find a list of the NEW features on the latest versions of each of these.Can anyone point me i the right direction or a different forum if you think i've come to the wrong place?Any advice would be much appreciated.

So i made a left hand side navigational bar and put it in a table to make it look neat. But now i cant put any text on the right side of the page only underneath it. Any suggestions?
