hey, can anybody help me. I have recorded video on Z7U in 24p mode, and as I am downloading video to my PC, there is time code all the time, I read manual, I try to turn it off in the menu display settings, and in video mode on camera as data copde, but nothing is working. What should I du?
It looks like the Usenet service is not going to be restored, which is foolish and disappointing. For me the RSS feed is the best alternative but there are two drawbacks.1. Quoted text is not distinguished from author's text. Would it not be better if quoted text were italicised or coloured?2. The author is not identified (unless he/she has opted to show email address). Could the author's screen name not be displayed as a signature by default?MHP
Four months ago I submitted a request to have my CS4 license transferred from PC to MAC and I cannot get any results from Adobe whatsoever. Eventually I got to the point where they had me "destroy" my PC copy before they would send me the Mac version. Well, I destroyed it -obviously now without a way to work- and Adobe has left me hanging without delivering my Mac version of CS4. They no longer even acknowledging my existence. I have called several times and continue to submit support cases that go unanswered. What's worse is I just talked with another colleague in my office I just found out is going through the same problem. Anyone able to advise my next step? I really need my software - four months ago - and my opinion and confidence about the Adobe company is tanking (unfortunately we're so dependent on their product).
It seems like it takes maybe 15 seconds to reload a page vs 3 sec. to click on the boookmark and load the page. Of course there is no way to test this as each load time is slightly different. But do others notice this disparity? Perhaps the reload of a page has to go through more processes that a straight address request?
I think I have the server okthe name comes up automaticallyand the password should be my usualbut its not working, any tips ?
anyone done it? seems really hard, working with servers, Adobe Drive and all.
Stylish show as Loaded but the script Adobe Jive Forums - Force full browser width doesn't show up in global styles.I've go to site looking for it clicked on load for link for other Mozilla Products. it appears to load something then say it can't find installer script. I had a hard time getting it to update with 1.1.16 looks like it would load information in profile folder so it wouldn't have to be reinstalled everytime there is an update.
and has anyone else got a private message from this person?
As it says... not spam, but a thread that needs to be locked due to the email bughttp://forums.adobe.com/thread/444396?tstart=0
Looks like no one from Adobe is dropping in anymore. Despite several requests, the "Report spam..." sticky still points to the old, locked thread. There's been no response to Ken's pleas to redress his login... There's been... unsw.
I have searched in document properties, but I cannot get my Comment List to Open in Initial View. It is not an option in Navigation Tab for Initial View properties.Oh...I have Adobe 8 Professional. I have been able to set it in Document Preferences to "Restore Last View" but that only works for my personal settings, not to people I send the document to. I would like the Comments List to automatically be open, when someone opens the PDF document. Can anyone help me out. Thanks!!!
Can anyone tell me how long the charade of the new forum style has been going on now? Seriously. What was actually, noticeably, achieved in this seemingly endless time period to improve the more important, let us use a kind word, problems of the new format?I think it is time for a swift death or a resurrection. We have had all this before, didn't we? Not that long ago. Just the details differed a little. As an aside – tried to upload an image via the camera icon. Took forever, got a big error message with lots of waffle.I rest my case.Does Adobe ever get embarrassed? I would have sunk into the ground very long ago.
When you can download them for free? I mean, $1,000 for Adobe's Minion Pro? Jeez. At that rate, I could afford one-half of one font. Come on, doesn't Adobe make enough money on desktop applications? I honestly hope there's no one out there who has that much extra cash to throw away. Graphic designers do not make 6 figures a year. I think they need a reality check as to who their actual customer base and demographic is. It's bewildering to say the least.
You have crashed my Firefox browser 3 times now (FF 3.0.1.0) and in IE I get a lot of javascript errors. That is really annoying!
To all that can help. After uploading a new site ...there seems to be a glitch when the behavior statrs. As I created the site, I added a behavior to an image (Appear / Fade) the function works correctly in testing. Once uploaded to the server it repeats itself the performs the Appear / Fade function. www.wpentertainment.com . Everything is working correct this is just a landing page as we start to build the site.If someone could help me to figure out this problem. As i uploaded all the files to the host server all went well. I might be missing something, but how can I paste into this box? I see that people are doing it somehow. I would like to be able to paste snippets of code that relate to my questions. Is there a tutorial on posting? Thanks,Mark
I'm working on a project and I do lots of research in threads that may be helpful to me. When I come across one with good information, I like to print them out and put them in my reference notebook. I try both view as PDF and Print Preview, sometimes it works, but mostly it freezes up and kicks me out of the forum.I log in through Firefox on a windows system. How can I print the threads I want to save?Thank you in advance.Patty
I created my website, previewed it and then uploaded it to my server. It looks fine in Safari but everything displays backwards in Internet Explorer (it's a total mirror image). Can anyone tell me why and how I can fix it?www.intown-creative.comThanks!
As requested, a thread for annoying little things that we hope can be easily fixed - not the biggies like failing to go back to where you last read, being logged out mid-post, lack of NNTP etc - just niggly little things.
Now since Macromedia acquired Adobe, the website and forums have become a visually cluttered nightmare. I'm sure if they try even more sh!t can be jammed into the pages which still have way too much white space. they must not be trying hard enough.Am I the only one who finds this new look is getting uglier and uglier?
More and more, of late, i'm beginning to see the futility of posting here. Initially, from some members, there was sarcasm... later it became absurdity... none of which detracts from the simple fact that these Jive ACE forums (fora) are a bunch of excreta. (One can't even do a simple cut and paste in the message box without getting into gymnastics.)It's also quite clear that nothing is going to change or improve – very much – for the better. John C made it quite clear in his progress report when he spoke about fiddling with minor issues. To wit:1/ NNTP is gone. With it, i suspect, the backbone of contribution to the Adobe forums2/ The points system is here to stay. Live with it, ignore it, lust after it, die by it... whatever... It's immaterial.3/ The Question Answered excreta is here to stay. (For comments, please see latter half of 2/ above.)4/ There will be no 'memory' of last visited posts in a thread. Your option will be simple and comprise of two: a/ Start
hey steve, please stop posting what ever way you do that causes the repeating post bug in other forums. if adobe is working on it and you want to continue to post via that method in THIS forum to help them out, so be it, but you're ruining long lived threads in other forums (the lounge for starters), and it's quite annoying.by all means, if you want to participate in the goofiness of the lounge, i for one encourage you to continue to post there using the web interface until this topic destroying bug is sorted out.thanks man, i appreciate it, dave
Apart from this whole mess of abuse report and perfectly innocent posts getting deleted, we also have the problem of hosts moderators deciding on the poster's behalf if questions have been answered! Crikey!I posted a query in the DW forum. Ploughed my way through the search... found a couple of solutions from a particular ACE and posted those findings back with my comments on whether they were working or not.My third post (including the OP) was to the tune that on a quick and dirty test the last solution seemed to be working and describing what it was doing. No way, as far as i was concerned was the problem completely resolved.Lo and behold! This morning i see the thread marked answered! "Ididn't do that", says me. Open it and at the top it says, "Possibly answered". The moderator has a comment that as i seem to have found the answer he's marking it 'Possibly answered'. Freaked! But politely asked said moderator to kindly unmark it and i would mark it when i was satisfied. What is going
My problem is that InDesign is too smart and tries to make too many decisions without me. Issue 1:I have text in frames throughout a document. As I go through line by line altering the kerning and word breaks at the column edge (editing for aesthetics and readability), sometimes the changes I make affect lines behind me (upstream, so to speak). This in turn makes me have to go backwards and look for errors that this has caused. Is there a way to manually override this, so that any changes I make will only alter downstream text? Or better yet, will only affect text I've highlighted?Issue 2:The last line of a paragraph is sucked from column 1 to column 2, even though there is ample space for this line at the bottom of column 1. When I increase the size of the text box, to allow the line to be pulled back to column 1, it won't go until the text box is large enough to incorporate the first line of the next paragraph (and the blank line between the paragraphs). So ra
Hello:I am currently creating a form on a webpage using Adobe Dreamweaver. This form is used for users to register for an event and I would like when they are finished filling out the form that the 'Submit' button autmatically sends that information from the form to a default email address. This button would not send the user to Outlook, it would just automatically send the information to the recipient address. I've seen a few websites that have this capability so I'm pretty sure that it is possible to do it, I just don't know how. Much help would be appreciated!!
