Using the Community

For at least a couple of weeks, I have not been receiving e-mails notifications of correspondence in postings I have replied in. Broken?Changed? I noticed one thread that referred member to look at Following, member noticed none were checked, same here, but logging out, then logging in, shows following goes back to unchecked. 

I typically open the InDesign forum and scroll middle click all the unresolved items to see if I can give a correct answer. Scroll middle  clicking a link opens a new tab in Chrome, and I used to be able to open multiple tabs and go through one by one.    But since about 2 weeks ago I noticed that opening multiple tabs (or even 1 tab) bus croll middle clicking caused my computer to hang - I actually got an out of memory message and it shut down my applications in the background.   I've test it multiple times using different tabs from different sites - and it's only the Adobe Forums site with multiple tabs open that causes the issue.    I've tried again today on a different computer using Chrome and it still happens. I open 1 tab by scroll middle clicking and the page doesn't load in the New Tab - the page just spins.   Needless to say - if I click multiple links to open in a new tab - the computer just completely freezes.    This didn't

As of last night I am getting email notifications of every post that I make and the replies to all posts. I have notifications turned off, it has never happened before, and it is slowing down my workflow considerably. I have to sort through 150 to 200 emails at least twice a day and I don't need the headache, I don't want to block all emails from the adobe, and it's annoying. Whatever was changed in the back end needs to be fixed. 

I see a lot of references to threads on an older version of the forum.They are always in this format...forums.adobe.com/thread/######  Since the links are broken (i.e. forums.adobe.com), how do you find old information?I've tried ot use the ###### in a URL, but I cannot figure out the pattern. Anyone?

I logged into the support community for the first time in many months. Suddenly 12 "badge" notification emails arrived. Either I'm very special or everyone is. Well, at least I can pretend 😉

As stated in this thread, making a change on the Adobe Account My Profile page to the screen name doesn't seem to be propagating. Customer Support apparently gave the same information I did, so I suspect there is a break in the communication between the Adobe account information and the new community boards.

When I try to search in the InDesign Scripting forums the search returns 0 results. Same for the other InDesign Forums.Here is an example:http://forums.adobe.com/search.jspa?q=javascript&resultTypes=MESSAGE&dateRange=all&communityID=3331When I search in all forums lots of results for the same term shows up from the InDesign forums.What is wrong?

please stop sending emails not requested

After visiting a post the header (or whatever it is called) goes light gray. When somebody posts to that thread the header stays light gray. Imo it should go back to black as a sign I have no read the new replies.

Hi, I am quite new in this Community and I seem to be struggling to contrtol the number of emails I receive from here.  I have only selected a couple of categories which certainly do not justify the hundreds of emails I hace beem receiving daily on every single new post and each reply to it from the channels thati follow.   How must I fruther customise the notificsations settings to avoid receiveing a notification on every single post and reply?  Pleaase see screenshot with current settings in case anytihg obivous wrong. I begin tso fear that mt oreferencees do not save properly or something as they keepo getting ingored by Adobe. Thanks in advance,Theo

Something is off in the backend of the forum. When there is a file attached to a post, it was possible to download the file when clicking on it.Now it just reloads the page. How to skip friend-assisted verification and register WeChat directly

Hi sorry to post to this page but I can't seem to raise anybody from corporate in california.  Is there anyway to stop all the emails I've been getting including ones for subjects regarding illustrator which I don't have, without affecting any future emails that I may want to receive in future.

I have attempted to change my screen name (it defaulted to my email address, which is undesirable) numerous times in Account Settings with no luck.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?  Thanks in advance.

I accidentally tried to paste a screen capture within the forum text field and low and behold it works again!! Thank you, forum programmers!  

I know usually you are. But if you post a question and the answer does not work for the original user who posted, they then don't get any more answers. I have been searching for how to find extended license photos on Adobe, but every post has moderators just sending people to the explanation page of what each license needs. I have also asked the question, a moderator just put the same link as on other to what each license means and marked it as correct. Maybe give us a "mark as correct answer" like many other forums. It's quite frustrating. Edit: Give the user who posted the question the ability to mark as correct, obviously not everyone or we would have the same problem.

The Shepard Fairey Guts not Glory is NOT a powerful illustration of a healthcare worker, it IS a symbol of oppression to many of us.   Many in the Adobe community have sufffered or have families and friends who have suffered extensive cruelty and worse under the watch of such socialist worker slogans, symbolism and posters.  Must history repeat itself? The art piece can exist, but please stop it from appearing on every Adobe page and App that I work with daily. I speak for many, take it down now!

Replying [2422] - Fix for inability to reply to posts in higher DPI and mobile views Read Posts/Replies [2382] - Added an icon next to locked conversations on community pages, so users can see it's locked before opening the conversation [2383] - Added indication that a conversation has been read or unread and that you've replied to the post when you're signed in If the title is dark gray, you have not read the original post yet. If the title is light gray, you've previously read the original post. If you've previously replied to a post, an italicized "You've replied" will show up next

I'm glad I've been "elevated" to "spectator." However, I posted a long question yesterday. I checked "Post." I included the notaton that I wished to be contacted or answerd by email. Later I checked and saw absolutely no indication of my post at all. It was as if I hadn't posted anything. So what gives, and why is this thing so used-unfriendly? I have a question, but unless someone notices it, it won't get answered. In fact, after I post THIS note I'm going to check to see if it went through at all.
