I can't login to Adobe or the forum using Firefox (v30.0) Mac, which is my main browser. I'm only logged in right now using Safari. Here is a screen shot of the errors in the error console.I see this problem in archived threads, and they seemed to have solved it by disabling the extension HTTPS-Anywhere, but I don't have that extension.

I'd like to propose a change in the posting form. When it comes to stating a problem, I think there should be a sticky on the posting form giving basic directions for asking troubleshooting questions. Yes, we have a "How to ask a question" FAQ, but I'm guessing the flustered user just clicks the Post button without any clue of what would be helpful. A few simple directions such as system details, error messages, and even screenshots (with a link on how to make one) might cut down on the "one sentence no information questions". It would be more efficient that a forum member having to ask for this basic information.I like JJ Mack's brief summary, it should face the user when they click on Start a discussion:The more information you supply about your situation, the better equipped other community members will be to answer. Consider including the following in your question:Adobe product and version numberOperating system and version numberThe full text of any error message(s)What you were
I went to the Forum FAQ page Forum FAQ, and was very surprised by this list of recent discussions:Starting from the 8th FAQ, all are 5 years old, which is hardly "recent" and probably make the answers unusable. Just for testing purposes, I opened the "How can I jump (to) the last message in a thread", and found an April 2009 message by adobe-admin that describes two methods. None of them works in the present version of the forums.
How can I control the email notification process which automatically sends a copy of all replies to each thread in which I am participating?Right now I have taken the process for granted, letting it do it own thing, and am automatically getting email notification for all the threads in whichI am participating. That is OK with me.Due to questions on email notification how to that I have received from others...How would I go about setting up the process so that I could pick and choose which thread replies should be send to me byemail notification? Is there a thread subscription preference somewhere? And, how do I turn on and off email notification altogether if I wanted to do that?Thank you.ATR
IE 11/Win 7: images are inserted at the beginning of the message and not at the cursor position:Also, I have no scrolling bars at the right side of the message window. I could compose my message as I wanted in FF/Win, but lost the scrolling bars and couldn't write anything else after inserting a second image.
When you upload a profile photo, there is no information about the actual size in pixels x pixels, which is crucial when you use PNG og GIF files for crispness. Earlier, the size seemed to be 320 x 320 pixels. The format has also changed from square to something like 4:3 (width to height), so the bottom part of your old profile photo/image from before the latest change has been cut off.In addition, it seems impossible to get the same brightness in colours, as if there is some strange colour management or conversion. It would be nice to have some specific updated information on how to get it right.
All is in the title : my name appears on all adobe forums although I asked my profile not to do it...Thanks
What should have been post #9 in this thread,Illustrator Says "Missing Font" Whereas InDesign Detects and Uses Same Font Okayseems to have vanished, with the reference to it in the OP as the only trace.I wonder whether this is a new forum wonder.
I had a long trail of discussions with very valuable and appreciated information from knowledgeable forum users that I would go back to from time to time to refresh my memory. However, with the change of the forum's format I can't seem to find a link to my discussions. Help, please!
It seems that it is now possible to start discussions via email again.
Hi,These forums are such fun. I was in the middle of typing this question first time round when I was jived around a little and asked to log in again -- just like that.Anyway, the question is: Is it now possible to start discussions and reply via email? Getting everything sent to my inbox, where it's sorted with filters, is easy. But I'm not able to answer (clicking reply results in a delivery failure notification). Nor am I able to initiate a discussion via email by clicking on the "Start a new discussion by email" link in the all forum messages that come into the inbox.I was able to get the forums software to send me a .vcf file (vCard) which claims to allow discussions to be created by email. But it doesn't seem to work.Is there some setting I'm overlooking in my forum account, or is this a wild goose chase?Thank you.Ariel
In this thread:Why can't I download Adobe Camera Raw 8.5?The OP marked my reply as correct when, in fact, it was incorrect. Can this be undone so that future searches do not stumble upon an incorrect answer?-OB
I find it somewhat annoying to have to go through the 3 step (~5 minute) processes of logging in again every time I pull up a book mark for the forums. Even simply navigating around the forums requires me to log in again at times. Is the cookie timeout just set for 20 minutes to an hour? Does the "remember me" checkbox do nothing? (that how it appears). Can we please get a cookie set so log in is not constantly required?
...is the message that shows at the bottom of my screen every time I go to a new forum page, which was not happening last nightNo changes to my computer since yesterday... has Adobe or Jive done something to the site's security certificate?
how do i get Adobe to stop phoning me?I have some old licenses, and i don't want the adobe subscription.Adobe upgrades are expensive enough as it is, but at least it was your choice to upgrade and it was generally only every two years. Now with subscription you are paying as much as an upgrade but now its yearly, which makes it twice as expensive as it use to be!And i don't want cloud storage!!!Now i have asked adobe not to call me again, every time that Adobe call center calls me.They call every few months trying to sell me subscription !!!Why do they LIE when they tell me they will make a note to not call me again!!!I just had another call a minute ago. I asked for the manager and the caller would not put me through. I asked for the managers name and they hung up on me!!!I have had enough of this. Please get your call center in order!AHHHHHHHHHHHHGgggggggggggggggggg
When I paste text from a Photoshop Script from ExtendScript Toolkit on the Photoshop Scripting Forum the text seems to get mutilated at times. The line var idT = charIDToTypeID( "T " ); should have, and in the clipboard created from ESTK indeed has, three spaces after T, but has only two spaces and the code subsequently errors when being run in Photoshop. Re: Script to copy Layer/Group to another Open Document? Is that peculiar to the Photoshop Scripting Forum? Does anybody have insight into possible reasons? The involved applications are ESTK 3.8.0.12, Mac OSX 10.8.5, Safari 6.1.1Regards, Pfaffenbichler
I hope this may be helpful for others, and I hope others will also share their findings, so everyone may benefit. After a good month with the latest forum version, I have found a way to carry on about as well as usual (however well that was).I believe there will be further improvements in the form of customizations/corrections, so we get some of the lost functionalities and options back, such as the latest poster name and time since latest post, and hopefully the ability to go straight to the latest post, just to name a few.The search is still rather weird, even weirder than before, and its now being hidden away in Overview makes it even less attractive to use. Hopefully there will be improvements there, too.I also miss some options which are more unlikely to reappear, such as having the search on the Contents/Discussion page and 100 threads showing in the list there. But as it is now, there are actually some things that are better than before the latest change:The different background c
Premier Elements forum is hidden for some reason.. How do I find it? I am finding everything associated with PE 12 impossible to deal with. Nothing works even trying to find the proper forum is frustrating.[Please choose only a short description for the thread title.]Message was edited by: Jim Simon
I usually view "Contents" of the current Fora I visit (Photoshop related mainly) so I can at least see if and how many replies have been posted to a thread. To me the listing of "Likes" and "Bookmarks" (usually 0, it seems) seem to unnecessarily convolute the display, which would not be so bad if the "Replies" would differ more prominently, maybe by having a darker color or a bolder font. And the author of the last post being listed would, as mentioned before, seem beneficial. Regards, Pfaffenbichler
I need to switch which ID I use here on the forums ... and need assistance from a staffer I understand to see what's possible.Neil
I know it's a faint hope, but is there any chance of finally getting the communities list on the main page (the start of which is shown below) actually sorted into alphabetic order? I am constantly responding to people who are posting in the wrong forum area because they cannot find the one they are looking for. And, yes, I know forum mods can move posts where they belong. That's not the point.--OB
obviously you're not catching it....can we please have a block or ignore button?
It used to be that most forums had a way to get directly to the full discussions list. For example, the Flash CC general had something like a "More" link at the bottom of trending or possibly Popular discussions. This wasn't consistent across forums even in the same community, but at least it was more direct than the current flow, or at least the best current flow I have found.:Select your community, press Go (would be cool if this would just go without that step).Select forumPick a discussion, any discussion.Go "up" from the individual discussion to the discussions list.It seems counterintuitive to me that you can get to the full discussions list from "below," but never from "above."In a related note, is it possible to save a setting somewhere how you want those sorted? As someone who is nearly always visiting to answer questions, I usually want to sort by "Date created: newest first." I get that you have optimized for the people asking for help, but these features would nice for us t
