Hiya, I am new to video editing and using Premiere Pro and I had some problems with my video being glitchy and choppy which meant I wasnt able to record the voiceovers that I wanted to do, I tried so many different things over the course of the last week and I have come to realise my laptop isnt good enough to support video editing (only 4GB RAM) I have done some research into what laptops need in order to be able to support video editing with apps such as premiere pro and I need at least 8GB RAM as well as other things but from doing research ive noticed RAM is the most important factor. (correct me if im wrong please im just trying to understand)So I have been looking into buying a new laptop but my issue is I dont have thousands to spend on getting the best of the best so I've looked into the best budget laptops I can get and these 2 seem like the best for my price point: Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (2018)ASUS VivoBook 15 X512DA-EJ533T Laptop, AMD R5 Processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 15

Can anyone confirm a faster graphic card (say the RTX 2080 super) will perform better than 2060 super now that the GPU is being utilised. Also I did a few export test with the latest update (with Hardware Encoding enabled of course), I found that only around 15-30% of the GPU is being used (4k H264 timeline with LUT). However when export another timeline without LUT applied, the GPU usage jumped to ~70%ish - Weird! I've seen a youtube video showing 100% of RTX 2070 super being used while exporting with the new update + hardware encoding.

I've been tearing my hair out trying to convince BenQ that they have a problem with the profiles generated by Palette Master Element (PME) on the SW2700PT (but it may affect other models).  To me the problem is immediately apparent if you calibrate and profile to a non-native gamut, but BenQ insist all is correct.  Please could other owners take a look at this.If you have a more recent monitor (manufactured after about October last year) you should see an option in PME to calibrate and profile to RGB primaries other than the native gamut.  Try calibrating to sRGB primaries, then use the calibration with the sRGB profile created by PME.  On my system the images rendered by colour managed applications appear very de-saturated.  The reason is, the profile has been created for the native gamut, not the sRGB gamut.  In fact, I think PME always creates a profile for the native gamut, regardless of the calibrated gamut.The calibrated gamuts appear to be correct (

With COVID-19 impacting our ability to work in-office, my company has set up Microsoft Azure virtual machines, allowing us to continue our work in Premiere and After Effects remotely. We connect to this through the Teradici PCoIP client. This is all great and I feel fortunate that I'm able to continue working from home. The problem is that it just doesn't work well. On the plus side, our IT dept is open to scaling the power of these machines however we need them to. Here's the current setup:- Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit- Premiere Pro v14.0 (Magician)- CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 @2.60GHz - RAM: 112GB (I don't have more detailed specs on DDR speed or architecture unfortunately)- GRAPHICS: NVIDIA Tesla M60- Virtual machine connects remotely via a 1GB hardline to our AVID Nexis media storage at the office. Issues:Ruling out internet speed/connection issues, I'd appreciate some assistance troubleshooting the hardware to give us a more usable workflow. Hi everyone, Hope this is okay to post here. I'm wondering what sort of specs I need to be looking out for on a MacBook Pro to be able to run Premier Pro as efficiently as possible? I'm currently video editing on my 2014 MacBook Pro and it's lagging so much, even with proxies. If I upgrade, what specs affect the speed of how I can process video footage? I'm aware of terms like RAM etc but have no idea how they actually relate to anything Thanks in advance!Hayley

I just got my new surface book 2 yesterday.. I have been doing all my video editing on my desktop for the past while, so I was quite excited when my new laptop came in and I could finally be mobile. In fact I was planning on using my laptop as my main system for video editing as my desktop is usually used as a system for gaming. Anyway so the laptop is performing like shit, I hope this is not the laptop but maybe a problem with the adobe software (I just dropped $2,600 on this seemingly piece of crap and I don't want to lose my money). For the first bit that I was using it, premiere was working just fine albeit with some stuttering which was surprising because I was working with 1080p footage and never had problems with 1080p previously. Now when I use Premiere, it opens regularly but once I load my project the gates of lag swing wide open, the program doesn't fully load, the slider at the bottom of the video timeline doesn't respond, I can't get through 5 seconds of video without heav

Hey Im planning on building  my new workstation  soon for  Editing/VFX,  let me know what you think. I have   2 routes  either the Intel i9 9900K route  or  the AMD  Threadripper 1920X or 1950X. Hello Everyone. I am getting my C200, with a 512 GB PROGRADE C-fast card. I was told that the raw Files are Huge, and most likely I need an External Drive, such as G-Technology. Also, I heard about G-Technology with Thunderbold3 and USB 3. I don't know about Thunderbolt.  This Is my first Cinema Camera.  I appreciate It very much If someone is more familiar with this Camera giving me some Tips for Editing, and which External Drive you Recommend. ...a well-matched GPU is still very important to the performance of Premiere Pro. I tested my reserve i7-7700 PC with integrated graphics alone and with three recent-generation GeForce GPUs. The system is equipped with 16 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM and two SATA SSDs (one for the OS and programs and the other for everything else). I have been going over pages and pages of forum posts, YT videos, and misc search results, looking for why with my new PC is hardware encoding not enabled in teh export settings. I'm new to much of this but I thought the new PC should at least render a project as fast, or faster than my 4 year old laptop. CPU is Intel 9th Gen i9-9900KGPU GeForce RTX 2070 (only GPU that shows up in the device manager and perf tab of task manager) So, I guess I'm looking for confirmation with this. If I do NOT have an Intel GPU installed, ultimately I can't use hardware encoding under the performance option, correct? Is wht it is? Thanks! Jim

Hi,My girlfriend installed Premiere Pro and After Effects on an older machine and both apps are failing to start properly. Now I am wondering what the common problem is as I haven't seen this one before:After loading, a white square window appears on top of the normals app UI. It is completely empty clicking on the X closes the apps entirely. It has however the dimensions of the "there are already 2 devices logged-in. kick one of them in order to use the app"-window. I am trying to figure out if it's a software issue or which parts of the hardware are causing this problem. I know its a very old set-up but was hoping to get the programs at least started and worry about the rendering times later ...Its a Dell XPS 8300running Windows 10Intel i7 26008GB RAMGeforce 750 Ti (latest driver, 445.87)Really hope I can get this work around the old hardware or at least get some kind of crash report.Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi there, I'm making my first custom-built PC, here are my parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BQcqyk I use all the Adobe apps, working heavily with Premiere Pro and After Effects. Any feedback on this? I'm not too sure about the video card... it seems affordable and is running the 2070 chipset from NVIDIA so I figured it is okay. I'm not looking to throw 700-800 dollars into a GPU really. I've already needed to downgrade from the Ryzen 9 to Ryzen 7 because I was planning to spend about 1600-1800 for the build, in total, and 8 cores should do fine to my current 2 cores. Also, someone recommended this motherboard instead of the one I currently have on the list: B450 Tomahawk Max, since it's a little cheaper, but then I get the following warning: "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." Should I be concerned? Thanks!

I am on a brand new laptop with Adobe Premiere 2018 and an NVIDIA GeFore GTX 1050. When I render I see the CPU go to 100% while the GPU sits idle.In the settings for Premiere I see the "Renderer" set to "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)" and I made a text file in the directory for Premiere called: "cuda_supported_cards.txt" with "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050" in it.I installed the latest drivers as well.What is missing/ wrong with this setup?thanks

My Win10 system processor (i5-9400F) does not include a GPU so when I am creating a video (H.264), I can only use software encoding and typically takes about an hour. I am trying to determine if replacing my current processor with one that includes the GPU (i.e., i5-9400), would that save me any appreciable time in creating videos. TIA-L

I'm having problems with Adobe Premiere Pro. It shows a report of incompatibility with my GPU. I spoke with NVIDIA and they told me that they're not updaitng kepler architecture GPUs anymore. How can I solve this situation? I need to use Premiere Pro on my laptop.

Ok. So I had an Intel 6 core processor and they all hit their max speed when exporting from Premiere. I upgraded to the Ryzen 3950x and my export times have not changed. The processor runs at roughly 25%. So are you saying that if I downgrade to the 12 core it will perform better?

Premiere Pro CC 2020 (along with Rush and AE) crashes when loading media.The system is brand new out of the box and features two display adapters where Intel HD Graphics 630 (no VRAM) is the lead controller and a Radeon(TM) RX Vega M GL Graphics with 4GB HBM2 Graphics Memory wich as I understand is the supplier of GPU power for among other programs Premiere. This however does not work as Premiere and the other programs that render video crash and the system locks up and needs to be restarted for another try. I found that the only thing that lets me work in Premiere is to disable one of the adapters.Results are:Disabling Intel HD Graphics 630 reduces the light strength in the panel with about 50% wich obviously is not an option. And I cannot control the brightness.Disabling Radeon(TM) RX Vega M GL robs me of 4GB VRAM and makes the Intel adapter steal fram my system RAM of 16GB which is neiter an option. Any suggestions for making these coexist?
