I work for a small sewing patterns company that sells downloadable PDF sewing patterns. Our customers download their file, open with Acrobat Reader and print at 100% Actual Size, no scaling. This week our team have started receiving support requests from customers whose PDF sewing patterns are now printing 1/8" too small where they previously printed at the correct size. This may not seem like a large amount, but it can sometimes make a big difference when it comes to sewing. So far, we've only had reports from customers using Windows 11, and so far only from customers in north America. Those who have a device using a different operating system have been able to print correctly using their other device, but not everyone has this option. For each report, we've run through everything that we can think of in terms of troubleshooting, including making sure that their Reader is up to date, checking through each individual person's Reader print settings, and checkin
When I click on a PDF file, it immediately becomes a pixilated negative image. If I click out of the document itself, it becomes normal. It cannot be read or properly edited in the pixilated negative image.
Hello,I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC installed on my computer. I am trying to create a fillable PDF form that has a submit button on it. My goal is to publish this to my school website so people can send it to my email at the ease of a button. I believe I have followed all the necessary procedures. 1. Made a button on the form. 2. Set the action button to submit the form like this: mailto:"email".Everything seems to be setup correctly, however when I download the PDF on another computer, I click on the submit or send button, and nothing happens. It will allow me to fill in the fillable data lines but the button will do absolutely nothing. The only way it works, is when the PDF is accessed using the computer with DC downloaded on it. Is what I am trying to do possible? If so, please help!
the February 2020 updates keeps failing to install. The error message that comes up says "An error occured. please check for updates again later. error: 130200". We use the adobe acrobat reader 2020 classic install. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling reader, but no luck. I also tried to download and manually install the update, but it fails and says "The upgrade path cannot be installed by the windows installer service becuase the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch." I tried downloading all of the different versions of the update, but i get the same message. [Moderator moved the thread to the correct forum] Is anyone elsa having this same issue?
I want to get rid of the XML Forms in my PDF and then save as regular PDF format so that I can merge files into single PDF. When I edit file in Designer and get rid of form elements, then save as PDF. I still can't combine files. I get error that says my file is still Adobe XML. Is there a way to save PDFs that still have forms in them as non-AdobeXML files? If not, how do I get rid of Forms and convert back into regular PDF that I can combine with othe PDFs into one single PDF?
I have a large PDF file collection with reciprocal links to other PDFs, which has been working without any problems for about 20 years.Since the last Reader update of 13/02/2024 (23.008.20533), opening PDF files via a link in the Acrobat form button (Open file) no longer works. The file is only partially opened and the error message "No PDF file" appears and Acrobat closes without any further entries. If I select this file directly for opening, it is loaded without any problems.Note:The linking of PDF files via bookmarks and the linking tool still works. The problem affects all PCs in our company.
I'm running version 2023.008.20555 on a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.3.1. When I try to print a pdf file from a user account, I get an "unable to print" error message. When I try to print the very same file from an admin account, I have no problem. I have rebooted but have not yet tried reintalling the reader. This is a new problem that I just encountered today, so I suspect a recent OS update migh be the cause.

We run a Windows RDS environment with 4 app servers. The app servers OS is Windows Server 2022, with all the latest updates installed. We use Microsoft Defender for anti-Virus. We have Acrobat Reader (latest update) installed on all the app servers. We have M365 apps for Business (latest update) installed on all the app servers. After the latest Acrobat Reader update, our users have noticed the send to email button is not working anymore. When clicked, a grey box will appear and just hang below the button, if you click the send to email button again, an error popup will appear saying “Adobe has encountered a problem some features may not work as expected”. A learn more button is available, and once clicked, it takes you to an Adobe page with some troubleshooting steps. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/acrobat/kb/acrocef-rdrcef-errors.html In addition to completing all the steps in the page above, I have also tried the following:Un-installed – > deleted Adobe Registr
We are an MSP company in Aus. We have a client who has Adobe Reader installed under Windows 11and is trying to print to Adobe PDF to convert Word and Excel files to pdf.Originally Adobe PDF didn't show as a printer opton but I followed the Adobe help to add this and it showsup. When I try to print from Word or Excel to Adobe PDF there is no error shown but there is no file output. So, I am wondering if Reader is no longer supported for Adobe PDF? We are on the latest version. No updates available.
I've always used Adobe Acrobat Reader to read pdf files since the beginning of the Internet. For the first time ever, I'm not able to use the reader. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I did a repair on the app. I ran as administrator. I double-clicked the file. I reassigned Acrobat as the default app for the files. I followed all the troubleshooting steps recommended. But, there is no solution it seems. If anyone has a solution for this that actually works, I will thank you. Otherwise for the first time in all these years, I will need to find another application. My OS is Windows 11 and my browser is Chrome.
For the kast several months I've been having a problem when I attempt to print separate dense back-to-back PDF files. The first one prints with no problems. however, the next one gets stuck in the queue. It may print a few mins later, but, usually I have to clear the queue. I'm using W11 and a HP 8025 printer attached by a USB printer cable. W11, the HP printer, and Adobe Reader are all current with updates etc. I've run every diagnostic availabe and they all tell me I have no issues. I contacted MS support and they said to try a different PDF printing app. I tried the Firefox embedded PDF app and there was no difference, hwoever, when I tried the Chrome embedded PDF printer app I had no issues. I printed separate files with not hang ups. I would mention that if I download a multipage file, all at once, I have no issues. All pages print without interruption. At this point I can only conclude there is some issue with the Adobe Reader software, I look forward to anyone's comments. Thanks
Normally I find I can extract an image from a PDF by selected it, copying it, then pasting it into an image program such as MS Paint. However, I have a series of PDFs where, if I try this, the image is black. The Snapshot functionality is not appropriate here since that can only be used to select a viewable area onscreen and in this case the image is much bigger than the screen (and if I zoom out, the resulting image is low resolution).Any help appreciated,P.
I kept getting this problem with my Adobe Acrobat reader. I tried to repair and even reinstall but it keeps coming up. Not sure if it has anything to do with recent Windows updates. I am using Windows 10 64bit. Help! <title altered for clarity-kglad>
Ich möchte beim markieren einer Textstelle in der Adobe Reader App, das gleich ein ganzes Word statt nur ein Buchstabe markiert wird, wie in Adobe Reader für Windows bei einem Doppelklick. Wie kann man das einstellen? I want to make a anotation in the Adobe Reader App for Android, when I am reading text. If I put my finger on the screen only one letter get market. But I want that the wohle word under my finger get market, like a doppel click in Adobe Reader for Windows. How can I adjust this in the settings for the App?In Google Play, when I am reading my own Book, any time I do this with my finger the whole word get marked.
Hello all, I am attempting to manually update our enterprises Adobe Acrobat Reader installation running on Windows Server 2019 as the 32bit version of Adobe Reader. The downloadable from the Enterprise website seems to be the 64 bit version. The download from Adobe directly does not provide the MSI. I need to use GPO to deploy this product as we do not have SCCM, and I would prefer to push a recent MSI as the installer rather than deploying automatic updates, or turning on/off the registry keys. I am familiar with the customizer, the process of extracting Adobe MSI files from the exe. However, I am unsure of how I can specifically obtain, use, and distribute my required version of Windows 2019 Server effectively to our environment. And help or guidance would be appreciated.
I often get PDF Docs via company email and simply want to save them into a folder. I do not want to change them, but simply place them as-is into a folder. The current version of Acrobat Reader has the "save/save as" button greyed out. So the only way that button becomes active is if I make changes, which I am not doing. And there is nowhere in setting to click "file" and "save as" like in older versions. My workaround thus far has been to print the PDF as a PDF and resave. However, this does not work with fillable PDF's or ones with hyperlinks. Any ideas?
I need to create a pdf that can be edited in Acrobat Reader. In other words, when I open the pdf, it recognises the text boxes and other elements and lets me change them as necessary. I can do this by exporting pdfs from other softwares, like photoshop, illustrator and powerpoint, but I can’t do it by exporting from Figma. does anyone have any idea if this is possible?
Hello, Every time I use the find tool and I search for a word from my pdf, it usually shows the number of results from all over the file. For example, 2/34 and arrow buttons to navigate through the various searches but suddenly it stopped showing me the number. Is this related to something? also, I am using the free version.
HI , The AI assistant for PDF is a fantastic feature that I use frequently on my PC. However, it is not available on Android. Has there been an update to the mobile app yet?
On a Win 10 Home PC, I have Adobe Acrobat installed and all updates done. Adobe is set as default app. Several days ago, the following problem started. Whenever I try to open a PDF using Acrobat, the User Account Control dialog opens. The UAC opens EACH time for every single PDF in the same session. I open 50 to 100 PDFs in any one session. On a different PC with Win 11 Pro, the PDF just opens with Adobe, no issue whatever, although the settings in Adobe ( and in Edge and in Chrome) are exactly identical. I’d be very thankful for a solution. This issue is driving me batty. (PS: Would updating to Win 11 solve this? If yes, I would upgrade instantly). Many thanks!
