Hi, I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader. My Adobe license has expired and I will not be purchasing another one. I wanted to download the free Acrobat Reader, but when I install it, it tells me that the program is already installed, but I can't find it anywhere on my computer and the pdf files still open in the classic paid Acrobat, so without a login and a valid license I can't read the pdf files. In my older computer I normally had both programs - the paid Acrobat and the free Acrobat Reader and it worked without any problems. Thanks so much for the advice!
I used to be able to save files to Adobe cloud using my free Adobe account but now can't. I've tried logging out and back and using the repair program as suggested to others. I'm not very tecky so any help would need to be in simple terms!
I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows 10. Is there a feature that if I read a PDF book till 50 pages and close it and again if I open the PDF it will open at 50 page?I was reading a book yesterday and closed it. When I reopen the book today the pdf reader didn't open the page where I left yesterday. The book is so big and troubled a lot to find the page I left.
I don't know what is the issue with acrobat reader but it is no longer pasting the images clearly and lines are appearing on them. Do you know what is this issue and how can I solve it?It was working normally earlier tho I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but nothing changed

It is taking a really long time to save changes I made to a pdf (it is 133 pages long). I cannot scroll through the PDF because of the "saving changes" mode. Is there any other way to make sure the content I have added is saved?
We have encountered this on several versions of Adobe Reader 32 bit over the past several years, but it seems to have gotten worse recently. It is not an error that can be reproduced, is random and has no clear patterns. On occasion, when a user goes to Sign a file, clicking the 'Sign' button will make it change color as if it had been signed, but then nothing happens. Our application is deployed via Citrix and the only way to resolve the issue is to restart the user's Citrix session, establishing a new connection to the Citrix image. I have tried the steps at https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/clicking-the-sign-button-does-not-do-anything/td-p/8966793 but they did not work. I found another help article that said to try going to Edit > Preferences > Signatures > Creation & Appearance then disable 'Use modern user interface for signing and Digital ID configuration'. Once I disabled this and tried signing, Reader threw an error (see at
I use Adobe Reader editor for line strikethroughs/ diagonal strikethroughs. How can I use the same edits on another template I receive on a separate date? Can I layer them somehow on top of the next template received? I may need to alter it slightly, also.
Work from home on my laptop, but software applications (MS 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, others) are employer owned and provided. Two 'seats' at any give time alloted for Acrobat Pro. I want to load Adobe Reader for personal use, but routinely conflicts with Acrobat Pro---when I try to install Reader, it routes me to Acrobat Pro log in. What is the solution for this?
I try to open a document via ActiveX from a bookkeeping software (Sage 50). The document is on a SMB share. The error message above appears, and Acrobat Reader crashes. I tried to configure the enhanced security, even disable it, but nothing helped. Any idea?

With the Google Chrome Plugin it appears that there is a file size limit to opening a PDF in Acrobat with the "Open in Desktop" button. Is there a way to remove or increase that limit? On smaller files Acrobat launches and displays the PDF, on larger files, I'm prompted to download the file. The download works, and I can then open the PDF in Acrobst. I would just like to open large files directly. TIA
I created a pdf that has attached links. But when i create a link for this pdf and try to view it on chrome, quality is dropped and links are disabled. I am guessing because it is showing from the cloud storage on website view. But I couldnt find how to turn off this automatic cloud storage saving setting either. What should I do?

I'm working on an instructional video with our product and Adobe Acrobat Reader. I downloaded and installed the current version 2023.006.20320. It defaulted to the new version and that's what I used.My coworker was looking over the video and he said that his Reader (just installed on a fresh machine) looked completely different. The difference was the new version of course. But he didn't have the option to turn it on. He's also using version 2023.006.20320. His concern is that users will watch our video and not be able to match the way the interface works. See the screenshot. On the left is my View menu with "Enable new Acrobat Reader". On the right is his View with no such link.My install was on a machine with Adobe CC running. His installation was on a new machine that n
Hi, Since the last update of Adobe Acrobat reader DC I have a black background in my pdf:s. Does anyone know how to change that back to what was before, i.e. white background like in an ordinary paper print? Also in some pdf:s there is no text, just the background text and pictures of the document form. How come? Before the last update I could download them and the text was all visible. Now no of these documents (i.e. not all of my pdf:s) are readable. I attach an example of how this looks. It is an invoice, and as one can see it lacks of almost all information about how to pay. And these documents did not have this look before the last update. Would be very greatful for any assistance with these two issues.
I have a MacBook Pro using OS 14.0 and a Brother dual tray printer. I have contacted Brother and walked through uninstalling everything and reinstalling the drivers. Brother claims it is an Adobe issue. I have PDF documents that are very large (upwards of 100 pages) that are mixed in Legal and Letter sizes throughout the documents. I need to be able to print the document and have my printer detect what document size it is. I would think the "Choose paper souce by PDF paper size" checked box would have done the trick, but alas - no dice. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader (the one I started using first) 4x - then I got so annoyed at not being able to find an answer or being able to speak with someone about this issue I signed up for the Acrobat Pro version (7 day free trial) to at least try to get some answers). Again, no dice. The "IT" person who was helping me via chat had me uninstall and reinstall Adobe THREE TIMES (?!?!?!?!). For the life of me I can not figure out a w
why dose my reader open a document as a display of symbols as in the example below.
Merci Evelyne
My colleague is using latest version Acrobat Reader. Every time (every) she quit the app it crashes. I searched a lot to find a solution whiteout finding. What to do?
When I run Acrobat Reader v 23.008.20533 on Sonoma the only UI I see is a single, empty menu which says "Acrobat Reader". No other UI is presented. I can't do anything with the menu. I've tried uninstalling / cleaning / reinstalling and nothing changes. I can't quit from the dock and I have to force quit.
Please somebody help me. In my office we use Adobe Reader to leave notes in pdf files for our coworkers or correct errors for example. For this we use things like the text function, sometimes drawings, arrows, etc.Sometimes (maybe one out of ten times) NONE of the markings show up upon opening a pdf that has already been edited and saved. This can happen on any of our PCs, regardless of which PC has edited the file and regardless of how much time has passed. It is often "fixable" by closing Reader about three times and scrolling around a bit in between, then the markings suddenly reappear WHILE scrolling around. This is a HUGE problem because when a pdf is sent to somebody for review and then the entire review is missing, mistakes are bound to happen. Please help, if I can't find a solution, it's really bad. How can I fix the problem? Thank you in advance. The version of the App is 23.008.20533
Hi The latest adobe reader dc version should be 23.008.20533, where can I download previous version? Now I face some version can not show normally in picture, but 21.XX.XX version can be normal . I want to try which version is suitable for my company. Thanks.
HELP, I have a client that has a specific form document that crashes immediately when you click in one of its form cells. They open the document by double clicking on the form document file (its a normal Adobe PDF) on the desktop and Adobe Reader DC opens it automatically. Upon clicking in a cell it crashed in ablut 3-4 seconds after. We found a workaround... if you manually open Adobe Reader DC, and choose FILE and OPEN to open the form document, it works fine without any issues. You can click and enter anything you want. What is going on here? Why would it work differently when opened manually vs. having it automatically open when clicking on a PDF file? Sounds like a weird Adobe glitch to me. Sincerely, Andrew J. Dunowski
