Acrobat Reader

Hi All, I have deployed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC via GPO into a Windows 10 AD environment using the enterprise installer and configured with the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC. The installed verison is 2023.003.20215. My requirement is simple. When a domain user opens Reader for the first time, I want Acrobat Reader DC to open and display the PDF file that the user is trying to open, without showing any other welcome screens or asking any questions or doing anything other than showing that PDF file. What I have tried:In the customization wizard, I set as many options as I could find to disable such prompts and I disabled all Adobe online services. Set these registry keys via GPO:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\HomeWelcomeFirstMileReader]"iFirstMileStage"=dword:00000001"bHasShownReaderAppCard"=dword:00000001"bHasShownScanAppCard"=dword:00000001"bScanAppUsed"=dword:00000001"bFirstMileMinimized"=dword:00000001[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Ad

I am affixing the digital signature in a pdf document. I affix the signature and then go to click the "sign" button and it doesn't move beyond this.  I was using it since yesterday without a problem and only since yesterday this issue has arisen. I have contacted the digital signature provider and they have said it is an adobe pdf issue and not a DSC issue. Any suggestions would be welcome on how to address this. 

Hi, I have a lot of PDF files. Is there any application where I can view PDFs, for example as photos, or do I have to open each PDF file separately? Thank you.  

I have used Adobe acrobat for years but since recently it doesn't work properly. It is often/always not responding. I notice at the top it says this is Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) and other programs I have that are 64-bit don't work well either like Corel PaintShop Pro 64-bit. I have a feeling this has started after a recent upgrade but can't be sure. I can open the program ok but when I click on a file in the recent list I get the small hourglass and the program says it isn't responding. Sometimes a window opens and says it is checking something online, this never used to happen. Can anyone help explain what is going wrong? All I want to do is read PDF type docs and sometimes edit and sign a lease agreement. The window says contacting HTTP................

I am running Adobe pro:Build: 23.6.20320.0On Mac OS Ventura 13.6 (22G120)I keep getting this pop up:I can not get it to stop, it opens EVERY TIME I open any PDF.  I have unselected "Show me messages from Adobe when I launch Adobe Acrobat."  I can find no other information.  Please help, this is annoying enough I am considering other options.

fill and sign greyed out for one document, but the other document fill and sign section is not greyed out and can add a signature. Regarding the document I'm having a problem with, I have checked the document permission and it is allowed to be signed.The first screenshot is the document I'm having a problem with, and the second screenshot is the one I can sign on. Please help me

I need adobe acrobat reader for school it guess me a ton of options to pick what system I have. However I'm not tech savvy at all. Does anyone know if this system is supported? 

Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2023.008.20458 64 and I am trying to open the pdf using VBA in excel and the VBA version is 16.0. I am unable to open the pdf with the below code. Tried enabling all adobe acrobat option under References in VB editor, tried repairing Adobe reader etc, and still it is not working. Hi guys, Everytime I open a PDF I get a pop up add asking me if I want to edit PDFS. I DONT WANT IT but I can't turn it off.Any help is greatly appreciated.CheersJoe

The keyboard shortcuts page says Ctrl+F6 and shift Ctrl+F6 can be used to navigate docs, but it does not work. it just sits there like a dummy.

When clicking a link to another PDF, Adobe will hang for a few of seconds then close. The link is to another PDF from within the same file system. The issue is affecting all users since the update to 22.003.20282 It seems to be more stable if you leave adobe for 10-20 seconds after opening the current document.  We get no error message, adobe simply closes.  We have tried changing various settings, 32/64bit installation, repairs and re install's, nothing seems to help with the issue.

After using Adobe Reader for years, Foxit pdf reader was installed by someone. I uninstalled using Euro and IObit as well as deleting/uninstalling anything else with the word Reader. However, the new installation says the problem is that there is a "new version" already running on the computer. After hours of searching through several months, I have found NOTHING, certainly not a newer version. Even checked Microsoft for its 'reader' app - nothing.  Can anyone help?

I cannot seem to print any PDF from my macbook and I am getting very frustrated with this ongoing issue from Adobe. For a while now, I have not been able to print from Adobe Reader DC. It was not a problem before, as I would open the document in google chrome and print it from there but now I am having this issue from both chrome and safari "Please wait... HiThis form here https://www.border.gov.au/Forms/Documents/80.pdf  requires a signature on page 17 but the "Fill & Sign Tools" are disabled. Does that mean they don't want you to sign it electronically?Cheers,Harry

Adobe Acrobat Reader freeezes every time I highlight text. What I mean is that I left click, then drag my mouse to select text, after i let go of my left click button, the program freezes for like 10 seconds, then it shows the toolbar with options to highlight, cross-out, etc.  It also freezes when I click on an area of the PDF where there is no text. How do I fix this? thanks

I've never understood how to copy and paste from pdf to word without getting the line return characters which mess up the formatting. Why doesn't text flow from line to line as it does in a normal word processor? Why does adobe insist on copying the newline character when you paste from pdf to another application?This must be the dumbest feature in the world.If there's a way to copy and paste from a pdf in plain text, without line breaks, please please tell me how. Помогите пожалуйста! Раньше все работало, но когда поставила Acrobat на новую операционку перестал работать. Я хочу pdf экспортировать в картинку, но почему то вместо того что бы сделать это локально на компьютере, меня перекидывет в браузер, в браузере ничего не открывается, висит пол часа на значке загрузки и ничего не открывает. в итоге я не могу сделать картинку из pdf вообще никак. Какие только настройки не пересмотрела что бы перестало открывать в браузере и работало локально, ничего не помогает. Расширение в Chrome удалила, тоже не помогло. Что с этим делать?

Hello,I am using Acrobat DC to combine files.But whenever I click to combine files, it sends me to the browser version of the program.It was not like that before and it is very annoying.Is there a possibility to just do everything in the program without directing me to the browser version?Thank you.Jordy

Hi, I have an Acrobat Reader Continuous Release 2023.008.20458For some time now when I print a PDF it results in strange symbols and fonts. I've tried to find advice here on the forum and elsewhere, I've tried looking in the settings, but I can't seem to change anything.I suppose the solution might be in the settings "Rely on system fonts only; don’t use document fonts."So I wanted to follow these instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error--when-you-create-a-postscript-file-you-must-rely-on-system.htmlBut when I want to choose the printer 'Adobe PDF' I don't have any such option. There is a minimum printing settings. Why is that? Can someone help me with the problem, please?

So when the sheets are printed, there's a relatively large gap between the two pages, but I need it to be smaller. Is it possible to reduce the size of that gap? I'm using Acrobat Reader.   [Moderator moved the thread to the correct forum]
