Acrobat Reader

I am trying to understand what is (apparently) wrong with my employer-provided certificate that is giving invalid digital signatures according to Acrobat Reader.  I don't know if my company created my certificate incorrectly, or they need to reissue an updated version, or if recent changes at the root CA provider have caused problems. I digitally sign documents infrequently with a certificate issued from my company's CA (which was valid from January 2020 and is signed by DigiCert Assured ID Root G2 certificate).  On 1-Sep-2023, I signed a document, but the signature was invalid. My Acrobat Reader is the latest version, 2023.003.20284 (on Mac).The signature properties indicates an invalid signer's ID.Reader's propertes of my signing certificate indicate "invalid policy constraint". I suspect my problem is similar to the problem answer in this thread so I focused on the policies. Reader's policies tab will sometimes show a grayed-out policy OID 2.16.840.1.11

Hello, Adobe Reader updated to a new version that looks completely different. I have always been able to use the snapshot feature to print out shipping labels around only the part that I need to print, which is just the label portion. Noticed now that the snapshot feature is not present. There's a new feature under edit which crops the PDF, but you must pay to use this feature. Thing is, I don't need to crop the PDF, I just need to select the portion of the file I need to print (not the same thing). Did the snapshot tool get renamed to something different, or does it no longer exist and now I have to pay to be able to print labels?  

Does anyone know where the 'Grab Tool' has gone in the most recent update?

Impossible d'enregistrer sous ce nom de ficheir. Enregistrer le document sous un nom différent ou dans un dossier distinct." Cela pas sistématiquement et avec le même fichier. Sauf que le nom qui est tenté d'enregistré a changé tous seul entre temps et est devenu un fichier temp A9izngmx_i32ywg_ego.temp alors qu'il se nommait ego.pdf Le fichier d'origine se trouve sur un partage réseau, ces utilisateur ont tous les droits nécessaire.J'ai procédé au passage a la dernière version en 64 bits depuis adobe cloud, pas de changement positif.Voir capture

I've noticed that thumbnail images are missing in the Vista explorer (View > Large/Extra Large Icon). I used to see a preview image in the explorer window without having to launch Acrobat Reader version 7.xxxx. I never use the preview pane, it was never necessary when the thumbnails provided a quick look inside the PDF document. However, after installing version 8.1.1, these thumbnail images have disappeared and are now replaced by the generic Acrobat icon which came with the latest version. What's with that??? Do we HAVE TO upgrade from the free reader version to the pay version to get these previews? This is not a Vista problem! This happened just after installing Reader 8. Images such as bitmaps, Photoshop psd files, png's, video mpg's, mpeg's and wmv's, for example, all display thumbnail images of the content in a Vista explorer folder window. I've recently installed Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) on a machine running Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2.  When any user tries to open a .pdf file on this machine, Adobe Reader produces the following error:"There was an error opening this document. Access denied."Additionally, when I go to Edit - Preferences, the following error is produced:"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Hello all,So within Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, I inserted a button that spawns 3 hidden templates (basically duplicated pages) via Javascript. This function works within any desktop application, however, as soon as I try to use it for the iPad/Android Tablet, the button is recognized but it is not functioning. Why does the transition to mobile devices disable the functionality of the button that creates the pages when the button is clicked? I  am trying to file FINCEN report to IRS (FBAR).I down loaded the recommended version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Still I cannot open the PDF form. Tried many things and am frustrated.Can somebody help? This has to be filed before April 15, 2021.Thanks.H Mehta

Why is Adobe Acrobat Reader now requiring sign in every time it's opened even when I'm signed in on other Adobe apps?

How can I clear the history of that? The "X" button is is blocked.And try to create my account online:• Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and sign in with your credentials.• At the top right corner of the screen, you will see a dropdown with your username on it.• Click it and go to Settings.• Unchecking the “Suggest words….” checkbox and/or pressing Clear All button will clear all the auto fill entries which has been stored in your account.But when I check "save", it shows" Unable to save settings. Refresh your brower to save your settings and continue. I tried doing this a few times and the result was the same.Please find the screenshot, and please kindly teach me how to clear history of fill & sign?

I tried a free trial of Adobe Reader and decided not to renew. I cancelled it and deleted the app.  Now I. O longer have my free app.  How do I restore that free app?

Hello. I'm using Adobe reader XI. I cannot change that version since is at the work office and I have no internet connection. I would like to have dynamic zoom set by default, but cannot find the way.  I mean control the zoom with my mouse. I've put its shortcut button in the bar. But I open 10 pdf's at a time, so for each pdf I have to touch the button, a hundred times a day. Is there a way to set the dynamic zoom being active every time I open a pdf? Hello, in the new version of the program you cannot print pdf files, changing to the old gui solves the problem. Windows 10, HP 3015 printer. Has anyone had similar problems?

It seems there was a recent 2022 updatre and there is no take a snapshot in the edit menu on Adobe Reader DC now. Where did it go?  It was very useful for isolating part of a document and making an image to print in large/zoomed in for reference.

I have a PDF file that is shown correctly in chrome, edge and sveral other PDF viewers. But Acrobat is showing a square at the end of several text after a merge from word. Anybody god any idea how to debug what character Adobe is not interpret correctly?

Hi All,I have one problem. I have created a new interactive PDF file (form) and I have saved its on my hard disc in the Windows system. When I open the Windows Explorer I see the standard PDF icon like as:And this is ok but If I send the same file to my Client who has a MacBook he sees a following icon:On this icon my Client sees the information: "Please wait...If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows(r), Mac, or Linux(r) by visiting ....."I add that my Client has a newest ADobe Reader version.What can we do to make the icon on the Mac look like a PDF standard icon? What are the possibilities to change this icon, for example programmatically in LiveCycle or in Adobe X,etc.?Thanks for any help,Janusz

We have the problem with quick printing from outlook no longer works after updating from 32 bit to 64 bit Adobe Reader. In the 32 bits version we kan use quick print, after updating to 64 bits we have this problem. There is no error and no print job. Kind regards

I have a free version of acrobat reader. It must have updated. Every time I open a document now, a window comes up that says "Check out the new Acrobat Reader DC".... and wants me to "start tour". Is there a way to get this to stop coming up every time? It's slowing down my work. I tried creating an account and signing in, but it still keeps coming up. I've taken the tour multiple times and it still comes up. 😕😕

I'm a little confused by the most recent update (continuous release 2023.003.20284).I'm reading an existing document and looked for a "Table Of Contents" icon... but can't find one.Some of the articles I've read suggest that there can be bookmarks, hierarchical bookmarks and also a Table Of Contents, and apparently these are all pretty much optional.When I click on the "Bookmarks" icon I see only a blank panel.When I click on the "Pages" icon I see page thumbnails, but no Table of Contents.Trying to keep this question as simple as possible (though feel free to elaborate):If there is a Table of Contents in the .pdf file I am viewing, which icon / toolbar button or "Tool" do I need to use to find and display it?Thanks very much.

After upgrade to Mojave 10.14, I cannot search the keyword in the document. Event the search frame doesn't disappear but Acrobat Reader will not give any reaction. Could you please tell me how to fix it? Thx : )
