will adobe reader still open pdfs on windows 10?
I currently have a PC where Acrobat has started displaying the tool menu on the left instead of the right. This is the menu with "Create PDF", "Combine PDF", "Edit PDF" etc in it.I have found something about "disable new Acrobat". My understanding is that the new Acrobat has the menu on the right but this PC has the menu option to disable new Acrobat. If this option is selected, can we reverse it if needed? Could this put the menu back on the right? Could their be something else causing hte menu to show on the left? Thanks for any help
I am facing problem with signing PDF using FILL AND SIGN of Adobe Reader (Free Version) that is not locked despite a warning pop-up prompt stating document signed and saved would be locked and cannot be altered. This is clearly not true because if I open same signed PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro, the signature can be easily removed/deleted. there is no right-click function or property to lock the signature in Acrobat Reader (free version) and is only found in the Adobe Acrobat Pro. If this is a known crippled feature of Adobe Reader (free version) of being unable to lock signature and make it uneditable/unalterable, why the pop-up prompt appear to mislead user into assuming that the signed PDF is now locked. If this is clearly not the case, did I miss out any setting ? I have Googled and searched and couldn't find any relevant post anywhere on this matter but it make no sense that I am the onl person who noticed this issue with Adobe Reader (free version) Any comment and i
I can't uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2021.005.20060) from my comp. The Windows Installer's message appears (look at the pic.). Translation from Russian to English:"The uninstalling of this hotfix package is not supported".Using of the AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021.exe also gave no result. After comp restarting I see Acrobat Reader DC at the place it was before. No changings.Any recommendations?

Hello, we are using Adobe Reader DC in our company the function Fill & Sign combined with Adobe Sign.We found out that something changed at Adobe in the last days and have no an issue. In the past What we do and how it worked in the past:Users are working with Adobe Reader and using the Fill & Sing Function. After placing the signature the document was sent to Adobe and the certificate was created and included in the document. The result with signute and included certificate was shown successfully for the user. During the process a new file resp. ready only copy was created and saved. After the process the user closed the Adobe Reader and reopened the signed document - Signature and Certificat was include - perfect! Now the situation is different. The process for placing the signature and requesting for the certfificate works as well and signature and certifacte was shown. But after closing the Adobe Reader and reopening the signed file the certificate is not avai
I mark student scripts. I frequently add a comment, then find that it would be more relevant a page further down. Currently I have to cut and paste the text to a new comment. Then delete the redundant one.Is there a way to capture the comment box and move it somewhere else?
I have a problem when printing text in PDF format. The printed text has a shadow behind the letters, although the text on screen monitor looks clear without shadow.

With the newest Version of the Reader, when you select the "Send to Email recipient" Icon, the Standard E-Mail application doesn't open up anymore. Instead there is a column on the Right with different Options. The Reader doesn't seem to recognize the Standard E-Mail application, which in my case in Windows Live Mail, by a customer it is Thunderbird. My colleague can send a mail, but even though he has Thunderbird as Standard E-Mai application, Adobe Reader Shows Outlook as the Standard.Did something get changed, so that Adobe Reader only recognizes Outlook Mail (we all don't use Outlook)?

Ever since I updated the software, it crashes after little use. I'll be highlighting text or making comments, then the programme will just disappear. I'm a Mac user, version: OS Mojave 10.14. I've reinstalled the programme, yet it still crashes. Does anyone know how to help? or know of any good alternatives? I have a lot of assignments coming up so this is not ideal!Sidenote: I also really hate how the comment bubble pops up after every highlight. I've done all the suggested fixes for this with no results!
Hey,So we have a bit of an odd issue here. We map OneDrive & SharePoint libraries (cloud storage) via a network drive letter on Windows computers via a technology called WebDav. A client called and said when password protecting a PDF document and saving it, then going to Outlook and attaching the file from the "Recent files" list - the document will attach, if you then open the file preview when in the draft email the document opens in Adobe Reader and doesn't ask for a password. If you attach it via browsing the computer directory, going into the network drive then attaching the PDF, when opening it this way it asks for a password. It's like a strange Adobe Reader cache and bypassing it somehow in Outlook. Has anyone ever come across this or similar behaviour? Before the recent update, I used to be able to click the 'Mail'-icon (see picture below) and it would instantly open my default mail client and create a new mail with the current document added as an attachment. Ever since I installed the update, this icon now opens a "Share" side-bar where i have to make 2 more clicks to share the document as an attachment. Is there a way to add a one-click option to share as attachment back to the toolbar? Thanks in advance.Picture of toolbar with highlighted Mail-icon:
Je veux partager un fichier PDF Adobe Reader mais sans que le destinataire puisse le modifier. Comment faire ? J'ai désactivé l'option "autoriser les commentaires", mais le destinataire qui reçoit le fichier est capable de le modifier ! pouvez-vous m'aider svp ? Merci

I have a client who is running into an odd issue with PDFs. If he tries to download and open in Adobe Reader automatically, some PDFs fail. For instance, when he tries to open PDFs from https://nslegislature.ca/legislative-business/bills-statutes/consolidated-public-statutes it tries to open but then Acrobat Reader gives the error "File not found".If he right clicks and saves the file to disk, then the PDF opens fine in Reader.I tried some other sites, and those PDFs opened fine, but it appears to be an issue with larger PDFs.Is this a Firefox issue or a Reader issue?
I am using Acrobat Reader DC when I receive emails that have a pdf attachment when I open the attachement you can not read the pdf it looks like heirogliphics has all kinds of symbols numbers puncuation marks smiley faces etc...?[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum - moderator][Also edited the title for brevity - moderator][Edited title mispellingswas "when I open pdf attachements, it looks like heirogliphics" - another moderator]
I'm having an issue with printing a PDF from Adobe. The document is perfectly viewable, but when I go to print, it shows up and prints blank, or only the fields that are filled out and none of the actual form. I have attached an image of what I see (some doc info blurred). Here are the details of what I'm using:File type is a PDF, shown as "Adobe Acrobat Document" in File ExplorerProgram is the most recent version of Adobe Reader (as of today)Operating on Windows 10
Trying to view a PDF in Adobe Reader XI on Windows 7 64bit, when I go to page 2 I get the message pop up "There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (110)." Page 2 is then displayed as a blank page. Other pages are OK.I get the same problem with Adobe Reader DC. Also tried on Windows 10 with Adobe Reader DC, same problem.PDF opens OK in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Foxit PDF Reader.PDF version is 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x), PDF Producer is iText 5.3.3When I go to properties->fonts, it displays Helvetica, Helvetica-Bold and Helvetica-BoldOblique and says "Gathering font information....(0%)" and stays stuck on 0%.This happening on a few PDFs generated by various parties, please help
I am hoping someone can offer some insight outside of the usual suspects as to why this might be. I have a customer who uses the print to PDF function to save files on to the organizations shared drive for easy consumption by others at the organization. After a recent Windows Update the PDF converter dissapeared from the print options and when reinstalled the user could no longer open documents saved to the shared drive. If the option is instead used to save locally, the PDF can be opened as normal. I have turned off "Run in App Container" and "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" options as well as specifically trusted the drive location and it still gives the same error.Adobe Reader is latest version, completely patched and no errors given on repair scan.
I am working on a document which suddenly was closed and disappeared and cannot find it.I did not save it before.
Can't install Acrobat reader DC due to some error. please see below. also can't deploy through GP
When I insert a text box and try to use the text properties, it does not always function correctly. For an example, I click on "comment" --> "Add Text Box" --> *created text box* --> "Text properties" is shown. I choose a font size and then the menu disappears. Next I add another text box, same steps above and the Text Properties does not show anything. The Text Properties icon (Aa) is still highlighted blue but I click it multiple times and nothing pops up. I have to close the "comment" button and open it again to have 1 more attempt at using the Text properties before it disappears again (symbol on right hand side showing a comment button). Any way to fix this bug?Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2019.021.20047
