Can anyone inform me of the ramifications of disabling protected mode?Since the release of the current version my org uses (2022.001.20169) it seems like having protected mode on has detrementally affected redaction sequences and VBA tools ("Server Execution Error") and disableing this setting seems to remove this issue.Also does anyone know if you add a folder to a privalaged location, does it include subfolders as well?

Each time when we start  Adobe, all toolbars return to beginning configuration. I loose out toolbar customization. Please help to save my toolbar configuration.

Hello I can't get Acrobat Reader to accept any changes to its Zoom Settings!e.g. I just want Acrobat Reader to always zoom to the "Page Level". But every time I change it using:Edit ==> Preferences ==> Page Display ==> Zoom ==> Fit Page ==> OKAs soon as I close the current PDF file and view another PDF file, the setting have been changed back!And doing  "Edit ==> Preference ==> Override Page Display ==> Always use Zoom setting ==> Fit Page ==> OK" doesn't work either. Adobe Reader forgets any changes to this too. [This is driving me absolutely INSANE!!  WHY IS THIS SO HARD? It has become a deal-breaker issue for me. If I can't fix this then I shall uninstall Adobe Reader. FOREVER. ]With thanksJ

I have an old Dell laptop with XP on it. It can not hook up to the internet. I want to put Reader on it so I can use the laptop to open shop manuals I have that are Adobe (PDF) files. I've tried several times to download different versions of reader (on my new computer which I then put on a thumb drive) and it tries to install them but eventually towards the end seeks to connect to the internet to look for updates or whatever. There must be a way to download a copy of reader (probably an older version like 9) on my new laptop so I can copy the file to the old laptop and install it without the program needing to go to the internet for something. HOW???

When navigating files through explorer with the preview pane enabled, each file takes ~2 seconds to load the preview pane. This only has been happening on Windows 10 machines.  Under Windows 7, the preview pane loaded immediately (<.5 sec).  It's slowed down my workflow tremendously, as I rely on the preview pane to verify what document I'm renaming.  If I'm looking for a specific one out of 10, I have to wait the 2 seconds between each one.  Even clicking the down arrow a few times will only go to the next one and pause while it opens. 

Hello, Adobe has changed it's save box from the standard file explorer to the below picture when extracting pages. Is there anyway we can change this back as I have to go through about 15 different folders to get to what I need.  Thank you

Measuring tool units jump by a few mm (units) each time, I can’t mark precisely what length I would like it to read. For example I am using it to fill out steel order forms that require you to mark lengths over picture of product. I would like it to mark out exactly 110.5mm but if I drag the mouse it is almost impossible to get it to sit on 110.5mm it jumps around wildly. I have tried:Changing the mouse pointer speed \ accelerationSwitched on the keyboard mouse control, and it still jumps by 2-3 units per keyboard arrow push.Increesing the scale decimal points to 0.001 also still jumps around.Snap sensitivity increase decrease

I need to markup a document and email only marked pages.  Do I have to buy a version of Acrobat to do this?

I have version 2019.008.20071 and I had followed the instructions that you had provided in this posting:  Re: PDF read out loud is working but pauses on new line I have utilized the cleaner tool and installed the reader back.  I also checked the text to speech.  I have a Windows 10 machine and it happens in all pdf files.

I have opt-out from ALL emails and still I receive SPAM from Adobe. How to finally STOP SPAM from Adobe?

Since installing Adobe Acrobat it installed a virus on my system called McAffee. This software constantly pops up and takes my computer resources to scan my computer and it sometimes randomly scares me in the bottom right into warning me that my computer is "unsafe" when this is not true. How can I uninstall this unwanted software? When I go to add+remove programes in windows 10 the uninstall button is disabled under McAffee. I googled and found a McAffee removal tool which ran for over an hour and claims to have removed it, but today I saw a window popup in the bottom right of my screen saying my computer is unsafe "by MacAffee". There is nothing I can see running in my system tray area.

We are having constant problems with PDFs printing too light. We have done the "print as image" as well as removing the save ink check mark. A quick background:We create CAD drawings in AutoCad and Revit, and then convert the drawings to pdfs to share with clients. We have been doing this for literally years. Now, when we open the pdf in Adobe and print from there, the pdf is so light it's barely legible. I thought maybe it was the CAD to PDF conversion, however, if we open from another program, it prints fine. The easy answer is to just print from the other program, but we don't all have the other software. Does anyone have any ideas? We are using PCs and the version of adobe is 2022.002.20212 - 64 bit, and there are no updates available. 

Als ik een pdf wil afprinten krijg ik sinds kort enkel een blanco pagina te zien op mijn printervoorbeeldscherm. Weet iemand hoe ik dit kan oplossen? 

When I try to print PDFs the program intermittently cannot print some files and the error message displayed on the printer screen is "Unable to print file. File is corrupt".  The issue is intermitent but has been persistent for months.  Please advise how to fix this issue.

Reader 2017.11.30080Win10x64, Build 1607Laptop is a Lenovo P50I was having what initially looked like a performance issue - any PDF I opened would take up to 20s or 30s to display the first page, and if I scrolled through the document, it would take another similar length of time to display the new page.Opening a PDF and immediately alt-tabbing away from and back to Reader worked, and this was the only way i found to get it to display more quickly - but you would have to do this any time you navigate a file within Reader.Tried all the usual preferences - page display, 3D handling etc. without luck.The only solution I've found is to go into the BIOS and change the graphics options. The laptop I am using has two graphics cards, an Intel one for low-power work, and an Nvidia Quadro for higher powered work. By default, the system works in 'hybrid' mode which means both are active.When I changed it to 'Discrete' mode - Nvidia only - the problem has gone away; so maybe there is some confusio

Every time a use Acrobat Reader, it asks me for the verification code that it send to an email account that is invalid.  How do I fix this?

As title, before upgrade we could easily send from within adobe using livemail. Have changed default mail application to Outlook and also protocol for 'mailto' unable to send however ?

I'm using Acrobat Reader DC 2022.002.20191.Usually I open many files and read or search through them.Because there are man open files, I use 'alt-W' key to listup files opened, but the file names are not fully shown and it shows only start and end of the document name. Very inconvenient.Is there a way to avoid this? Rather I want to direct this 'request' to Adobe but they don't provide an easy way for such a suggestion. (from today's short experience) Thanks!
