Acrobat Reader

A mac user, I downloaded an appcalled "RansomWhere" recentlythat monitors when anyone, anything or any app is trying to modify system files. It allows you to terminate or allow and provides a comprehensive description of whats happening. Several times a day now I get notices that Acrobat is trying to modify my system. Why?The most recent script was Acrobat instructing something to "SearchDataCache" I terminated it immediately. Acrobat does not need to be in my root level system at any time.These are not updates, which happen to frequently anyway.My suspicion is that this is Adobe Spyware and that Adobe is scraping my system and selling the data.From now on I am going to copy, log, journal and report these actions and when I have enough will post here. Has anyone else noticed this? Ransomware blockers and warning software are relatively new and these processes previously would have been completely invisible to us users.

For the same PDF file, some texts in the computer version of acrobat reader are not displayed,but the mobile version can display it normally.Is it possible to adjust the settings for the computer version so that all text is displayed?

Hi,I have created a pdf for digital signature and signed using Topaz pdoc signer software.it all works fine until someone opens the pdf in Adobe DC.We discover he can right-click on the signature and choose "clear signature".We know that adobe works using certificate, but the document is already signed and we want to preserve this read-only version.Question:1. How to disable this "clear signature"?2. If Q1 not possible then is there possibility of locking it somehow, or last resort using Javascript or something?I have googled all night but i cant seem to find a solution for this. Thanks!Zulzaili

My pdf-file consists of two columns and I want them to be arranged horizontally without any columns. I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I have already achieved that by accidentally typing the required shortcut. Unfortunately, I couldn´t reproduce the shortcut so far and I don´t know the name of this tool. I would be very thankful for any advice!!!

I have a file that opens in fullscreen like it should.Clicking on an icon opens a new page in the document in fullscreen, as it should.When I clcik on the red X to close that page, it should go back to the first page, which it does, but now the toolbars appear, instead of being fullscreen.What do I need to do to get it to open fullscreen instead of showing the toolbars?Thanks for all help!

I've changed my laptop and now DC reader takes some functions online - eg organise pages. I'd really like this back in the app, off line. Does anyone know how to do this? Many thanks.

We have been deploying Acrobat Reader 2017 by slipstreaming it into AIPs and installing using GPOs. Our systems are all Windows 10 Pro 21H2 64-bit boxes. We are now switching to the DC (continouus) track and have been trying to create our very first AIP.To do so we first downloaded AcroRdrDC2200220191_en_US.exe (SHA256: 0d434c796a37cfb648e7dbaf4219965076f034e5662a160ea5d626d19baf20b2). First, we extracted its contents to c:\install :AcroRdrDC2200220191_en_US.exe -nos_ne -nos_oC:\ExtractProceeded to create a test AIP at c:\install with the following commands:msiexec /a C:\Extract\AcroRead.msi TARGETDIR="c:\install" copy c:\Extract\setup.ini c:\install\setup.ini msiexec /a c:\install\AcroRead.msi /p c:\extract\AcroRdrDCUpd2200220191.mspBefore trying to do customizations with the Adobe customization wizard, we tried to make a test installation with:msiexec /i c:\install\acroread.msiInstallation starts and fails with the error mentioned at the top.Doesn't DC support this met

In certain PDFs if we choose 'Print All Pages' it prints out only some of the pages by default, you have to manually enter the number of pages to print if you want to print all. How can that be fixed?  We are using version 2022.001.20169 of Acrobat Reader DC. 

ALCON; I have been having issues highlighting text after they have been saved as a PDF when using the highlighter tool. Instead of highlighting like it regularly should, it creates enormous highlighted circles 

The latest AcroRdrDCx642200220191_MUI.exe setup installs version 21.007.20091, at least that's the version number I see in Add Remove Programs.Also, the MUI language does not follow the OS Language, my system has a French Canada language pack installed and Adobe Reader DC remains in English. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi, if I open a pdf, then try to save it in my own directory, it allows me to select the directory and name the file but when I click 'save' it takes me to a weird directory that doesn't exist on my pc.Please help, it's driving me mad. Lynne

Hi, I was thinking about using Acrobat Reader as a PDF reader for the company that I work at. It would be used to read company documents by a few employees (2-5). Is using Acrobat Reader for commercial use (reading PDFs) covered under the terms of service? I read the document and there seems nothing to indicate otherwise, but the name of the agreement is personal software license.

Hello,I am looking for the correct method to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC via the command prompt.  I have figured out how to install it via cmd, running the executable like so. "AcrobatReader.exe /sAll /rs" I'm trying to learn the uninstall command so I can install and uninstall automatically in an business setting. I am using the executable that I am allowed to use for volume installations. It says not to post the link anywhere publicly, so I expect that adobe support hopefully knows what I am talking about.  I ran the executable with the /? option to see what options were available- There was nothing for uninstalling the application. I did see you can pass commands to msiexec via the /msi option. I'm having trouble making it work correctly though.  If I can give any more information that would be great, I think the issue is i'm just entering the uninstall command incorrectly. In short, my question is: What is the command to uninstall

I am getting this odd error, setup has detected more function product has been installed. setup will now terminate. This is happening when you try to install Adobe DC 20.002.20191 after you have got Adobe Reader DC with 20.002.191.  Adobe DC uninstalls the reader dc and when you try to reinstall, you get the above error.  

Hi all, I have just got 17 Adobe licenses but when I assign them to some users sometimes they aren't getting the license once they have signed into adobe and installed the Adobe Reader DC software, for some users it works straight away and the Upgrade box appears as soon as they sign in for others it takes a restart and I have had a few users that it has not shown at all for. The steps I take when installing- -License users in Adobe Admin Portal-They receive setup email and sign in with Adobe ID they just created-Install creative cloud/Adobe Reader DC-Sign into Adobe Reader DC (some users get the upgrade box others don't as stated before) Anyone able to shed some light on this such as why, how to fix and how I can gaurauntee everytime they sign in I can get the upgrade to work relatively easily. Thanks,Wudwo

I have an image orientation issue with a PDF form.When I import an image, it positions itself in the wrong orientation. For example... If my image is vertical, it becomes horizontal. And the opposite. Or upside down. I need help! Thanks!

I have Windows 10 computer and I had Adobe Acrobat DC reader, where I used the read out loud feature a lot.  It worked for a long while until all of a sudden one day it stopped working.  I can activate the read out loud and then click to play it and it acts as if it is going to work, but I don't hear anything. I have tried everything I know.  I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, I have even installed an older version to see if that is the problem and nothing is working.  Is there an update that has happened to either the adobe or my computer that would cause the read out loud feature to stop or what could be the issue, please help!

So if I try to open Acrobat Reader, nothing happens. The process is active in Task Manager, but nothing appears on screen at any point at all. I tried "repair" function in Control panel. I also tried updated to newest version of windows (there was just a small optional upload anyway). I also tried reinstalling the program. I always open it as administrator. 

My Adobe Acrobat DC  closes immediatley upon launch.  This seems to be a common problem ut I cant find a solution.  My IT team has reinstalled the application from my computer twice. Repaired the installaton, I accepted the user agreement ... We have tried everything  a quick search prescribes as a solution and we have had no luck fixing the issue. Any ideas of hat might be going on ? The problem started when Adobe struggled to open an older PDF I had saved in my email. The PDF was a document type that you fill in and sign. 

I spent some time downloading and testing the Adobe Reader MUI - x64 edition.  There are several problems with it:You cannot run anything but an unattended/silent installation, as the installer has a bug which prevents file extraction.  Running a silent install works. [2022-09-09 10:05:03] Extracting files from Archive: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Temp\7182\installer.bin[2022-09-09 10:05:03] Extract Files ERROR_MEM[2022-09-09 10:05:03] GetLastError(): 183 - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.[2022-09-09 10:05:03] ** Setting Error Condition: 150201 If you manage to install it, it's not actually installing a MUI version, it's English only, even though the EXE and embedded MSP are both branded as MUI packages. Has anyone at Adobe even tested this?  I'll have to stay with the x86 version for now.  I can work around the extraction bug, but the MUI package not having the MUI is ... just strange.  It's clear nobody has even tried this and that
