Acrobat Reader

We sent out digital ID certificates to our organization for all authenticated users through Active Directory.When we digitally sign a document, this is automatically shows up without us having to setup the digital ID. Is this normal behaviour? Does Adobe Reader DC automatically create a digital ID if there is a certificate for it in the Windows Certificate Store. Intended usage of our certifcate is Digital Signature, Non-Repudiation, TimeStamping, Document Signing, Client Authentication 

I have numerous images of financial records and investments. They are in JPG format and I would like to convert them to PDF. I have tried using Photoshop and several other programs. They all generate a file that is several times larger than the JPG file. Going through the options and selecting low quality and maximum compression seems to make no difference. The Mac computer also comes with Preview software that generates slightly smaller files, but they do not look right in Adobe Reader. When I download documents from the bank, the PDF files are excellent quality and file size is very small. What software could the bank be using that makes file size so small? The best option I have found is an online converter at https://jpg2pdf.com The files generated from that website are good quality and smaller than the uploaded JPG file. Every a few days the mac app asks me tp re-sign in my account why?Fine, but why not to give apple login as the first chocie for mac users so it's just a matter of a finger tip. Instead, everytime it goes straight to phone number and code varification window do I really need login tp open and view a pdf?Stop this nonsene, it just makes me want to disbale 2FA or delete my account for good. 

Hi everyone, We are having some issues with a few of our receiving PDF-files.We are using SAP which as an integration with Adobe Reader. Some of our partners which send us quotes show up with the following error in Adobe Reader.(latest example):"The font 'DEVEXP+Arial' contains bad /widths" When we use the integrated PDF reader from Microsoft for troubleshooting, the PDF shows up just fine. The issue is only present in Adobe Reader As we do not have control over the sending side, resolving this would preferably be done on our end so that we can open and view these PDF files correctly. Any help would be much appreciated.With kind regards

Try to convert 4pages Excel to PDF with Adobe Reader, but will be showing 8pages for PDF after convert the document. Check with my friend, converted to 8pages as well by using Adobe Reader.If convert using Adobe Acrobat DC, able to converted to 4pages PDF with same excel document. Is there a reason or setting issue? Thank you in advance.

Hi there,I’ve just had a Reader DC crash.I had two instances open.In one I was annotating a pdf with comments.Both instances crashed.The file I was annotating now appears to no longer exist.I had been saving the file manually since Friday last. But basically, it’s no longer in the location I saved it to.When I restarted Reader DC, it only gave me the option of restoring pdfs in the *second* of the two instances (so, not in the instance I was annotating in).Anyone out that who can help me save the over seven hours of work I’d already done on that pdf?

Seit der Installation von Win10 wird der Text in pdf-Dokumenten teilweise als schwarzer fetter Strich rechtsbündig gedruckt.Ich habe bereits die letzte Version von Acrobat Reader DC installiert - das Problem hat sich damit nicht gelöst.Das Problem tritt nur bei pdf-Dokumenten auf. Der Druck aus einen Brother-Drucker funktioniert. Von HP habe ich bereits unterschiedliche Treiber installiert, der Fehler tritt immer wieder einmal auf. Es könnte auch an einer Schriftart oder Schriftgröße (möglicherweise ARIAL) liegen.Hat jemand schon diese Problem gehabt und gelöst?danke für die Hilfe!

So I have noticed that the arrow key scrolling when using the hand tool has somewhat inconsistent increment sizes. If I press the up or down arrow key once the distance scrolled is about half a line. If I hold down an arrow key to begin the fast scrolling, then let go and continue pressing the arrow keys rapidly, the increment is more like a line and a half.I find this inconsistency extremely annoying, especially since the fast scrolling is redundant because of the page jumping that is achievable with the left and right arrow keys, and that the increment for occasional up and down arrow key presses is so uselessly small. This disrupts the reading experience for me.I've thought about trying to get around this inconsistency by using other pdf viewers, except that I primarily find myself reading password protected textbooks that are only accessible in Reader. Hello, thank you in advance for offering a place for the users to ask questions.My problem is a bit technical - I am modifying a PDF file, adding some stamp (or FreeText - tried both) annotations with embedded subset fonts. I am using incremental save, but this doesn't appear to be related. I have tried multiple fonts too. No matter what I do, the text I draw in the appearance stream of the custom annotation, using a subset font, causes Acrobat Reader DC to show a warning "Cannot extract the embedded font 'XXXXXX+FontName' ...".IMPORTANT: This warning appears only when I open the Comments pane - when it is not selected to be open by default when "a document with comments is open", a user might not any warnings at all.I have tried various combinations of options but cannot come up with what is actually needed. Acrobat Reader Continuous Release Version 2021.001.20142.I am unable to update Adobe Acrobat Reader. I tried to uninstall several times. I ran AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021.exe and rebooted and still was unable to uninstall or reinstall. I received an error message "Uninstallation of the patch is not supported."

Does anyone have an automated way to remove the right-side Tools Pane (via GPO or Registry)? Running Adobe Reader DC 21.001.20145, win10. I see old registry/gpo comments that worked for older versions of Reader but all I'm seeing now are ways to modify or delete the AppCenter_R.aapp, Home.aapp,Viewer.aapp files. We update Reader monthly in our environment, so each month any change we implement to these files will revert back to having the toolbar enabled. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.VB

My Adobe Account is paid for by my school district, I usually use the program on my personal Macbook Pro. It will go through a period of time where it is working just fine, then, randomly for a few weeks it will not let me "view agreeement" or "request signatures" due to "no internet connection". I have checked it thoroughly and I am connected to the internet. Im stumped. please help.

I can't seem to ever get the Mac to update reader. It just hangs after the download for minutes. I've disabled my AntiVirus software and that doesn't help.  Any suggestions? Craig

I use Acrobat Reader to digitally sign pdf files by using the certificates stored on a USB drive. After upgrading my Mac OS to 11.3 and update to the Acrobat Reader, it does not provide the option in the attached screen to put in the user pin of the token. After clicking sign, there is an option to save the files and then there is a pop up to enter user pin.

Hi zusammen,mich nervt es jetzt tatsächlich so sehr, dass ich mich hier registriere und frage:Wie kann ich die SeitenAnsichtsLeiste automatisch beim Anzeigen eines Dokuments anzeigen?Ich finde dafür keine Option in den Einstellungen. Seit anbeginn der PDF-Viewer zeigen diese links eine Liste mit Miniatur-Seiten-Vorschauen an.Aus irgend einem grund, zeigt der Adobe Reader das ab Version X nicht mehr an, sondern stattdessen rechts eine Werkzeugleiste.....Ich muss beruflich täglich zig Datenblätter aufmachen...Ich habe wirklich keine Lust mehr, jedes mal einzeln die Werkzeugleiste auszublenden, die Navigationsleiste einzublenden, auf Miniaturansicht zu wechseln, die Ansicht auf kontinuierliches Scrollen zu stellen, den Zoom auf 100% zu stellen. Zoom=100% als default, Seitenansicht=kontinuierliches_Scrollen als default, Wekzeugleiste=aus als default habe ich schon gefunden, an den komischsten Stellen.Dass sich die Werkzeugleiste merkt, in welchen Status sie gerade war, ist unter

Dear, I'm unable to validate signatures in Adobe for all users logging onto an image. I have already uninstalled adobe and deleted the programdata folder and reinstalled the most recent version of adobe (2021.001.20145) When I open any signed document, there is shown that the document is signed by unknown. I'm unable to open the certificate details as this link is unresponsive. When checking Preferences > Signatures > Identities & Trusted Certificates I receive the following error:"File or folder does not exist.File" Often it also happens when opening a signed document, when adobe tries to validate the license the following error is shown and the application closes:"Invalid Plugin Detected. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will quit."

Hello Community! I hope you are safe! Today something very "strange" happened while I was trying sign digitally a document in ARDC. I have 3 digital certificate, of 3 different professionals (doctors), recorded in my computer. When I need to sign some document for them I ask their tokens. Today I needed to sign 2 documents of 2 different doctors, so I asked the token for the first doctor, once I received it I chose her signature from the list, put her token and everything worked as expected. When I asked to the second doctor her token, after to choose her name from the list of available certificates I had to cancel the operation, as her mobile was with problem. Since I couldn´t to sign the document digitally, I had to get a hard copy to collect her signature later. For my surprise her document (from the 2nd doctor) was correctly digitally signed even without put her token.  What could have happened? These are the versions of my ARDC: Continuous release version:

I'm having an issue on my phone where acrobat reader mobile is no longer converting my files from pdf to docx it used to work great until a week ago please help me with this issue I will attach the pictures when it converts it doesn't convert it correctly I've been doing this for months and it worked no issue now this is happening please help me I posted pics from start to finish please look at every pic last pic is where it's converted but it's all jumbled and missing pieces 

I keep getting the same error with each Adobe file I open saying "error reading stream" with multiple pages missing information. I have tried all the suggestions in the community including turning off ehanced security and restarting, checking for updates, repairing the install, I even completely uninstalled the program and installed it again. I finally downloaded another company's free PDF reader and it worked perfectly and all my information was there in the same PDF file I was trying to open with Adobe. I would like to continue using Adobe, but I may have to transfer all of our client to the other PDF reader if I can't find a resolution to this problem.
