Acrobat Reader

I am having diffculties saving a webpage as a PDF file to my computer. I have never had this issue until today. When I save as PDF, it saves as a completely blacked out file. How can I fix this?

I know, I know that Acrobat Reader XI is obsolete but it happens to be my preferred reader.  All I want to do is to somehow set a default so that every .PDF file that I may open opens in a view of 125%.  Right now, most open at different levels all of which are huge.  Thanks so much in advance.  Bruce

Acrobat Reader would add a straight line with holding the Shift key as the "Draw Line" icon shows.When i press the Shift key, click my mouse and move it, Acrobat Reader do show a straight line on my screen. But when i click my mouse at the end, Acrobat Reader will not stop the line. In fact, Acrobat Reader behaves like "crashed" and would not respones to anything but mouse moving: It keeps waiting for an end of a line comments.Thus, I can't do anything in Reader and have to kill it in Taskmgr.exe of Windows. Anyone know what's wrong with it?  

Hello to the community,I'm not sure you can help me, but you never know.We receive PDF documents which contain A4 pages as well as A3 pages.It seems to be impossible to print on our printer with the correct page format, however the option is checked "choose the paper source according to the format of the PDF page"It works smoothly with PDF-Xchange viewer...Is this an Adobe Reader bug ?Thanks

Everything was fine until the most recent update (which ends in 038). Today I'm doing my taxes on fillable forms from the state. After completing my taxes I saved the forms. When I try to open my file, the data fields are empty. Yet in the preview pane of Explorer, I can see the data. How do I get the data to show when I open the form? Thank you.

Adobe Reader DC, latest version running on RD Server (2008R2). Since last week users cannot attach an image file to fill and sign signature. You choose select image , browse to the image and select it and nothing happens. Takes you back to the select image. Removed and re-installed using the correct installer, updated, re-booted the server. The client also uses Acrobat DC full version running on the same server and attaching signatures using PDF or JPG results in "Unknown Error".  In both instances you can type or draw a signature without issue.

Is there a tool (like a file manager or file displayer) in the market, that is able to set a marker so that the user is able to distinct searchable / non searchable PDF files from eachother? Explanation:I have lots of PDF files, some of them are searchable, some not.I want to get an overview of searchables/non searcables, not by opening each file manually and check if its searchable.The main goal behind this question is that I have lots of pdf files and I want to make them all searchable but to do that I first need to have an overview of which pdf files are already searchable and which not.Is there any tool which can help me with this?Thanks,Mathijs

Hi all, I have a very strange problem - I have a pdf setup that is a map, in the bottom right corner I have some link items that will open a file (another pdf), now I use to have Adobe Acobat XI Pro, and I dont remember having an issue.  Since my company subscribed to the Creative Cloud package, I am now using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (32bit). I noticed that if I click an item link (lower right corner of Image_1) itll open that page, if I click another similiar link in the page that opened it will also open another pdf, after 4 or 5 times doing this I noticed some of the pdfs wont render fully until I either minimise and re-maximise the adobe window, or click a toolbar expand button (Image_2). I dont remember this issue ever happening in Adobe Acobat XI Pro, is it some setting that I am not aware of?

I'm proofreading a web page that has some hyperlinked text. I printed the web page in the Chrome browser and picked the option to "save to PDF" so it is not protected. It is saved as a local file on my laptop and I launched Acrobat Reader PC to open it. If there's a misspelled word in the text (the URL is fine), I'm unable to highlight just the misspelled word. I have to begin the selection before/after the hyperlinked text, which means it could be an entire sentence or paragraph gets highlighted. I'm able to highlight non-hyperlinked text just fine. How do I highlight just the text I need? Acrobat Reader DC, Windows 10

I am having trouble adding handwritten comments in pdf files using a pen. Specifically, I just can't draw dots - eg. on top of the letter i, at the end of a sentence or to write trailing dots... There seems to be a minimum distance that the pen has to travel over the surface until the movement is registered as a stroke. As a result, I can only draw short lines but no dots, which is incredibly annoying. Is there any way to disable this behavior? Any suggestions would be really appreciated! What I looked into so far:I checked the settings menu, but couldn't find anything.I noticed that the minimum distance is much shorter if I use the mouse cursor instead of the pen. There seems to be a hidden setting that controlls the minimum distance until drawing begins. Though, I would rather draw a point by simply touching the screen without having to move the pen at all.It seems to be unrelated to the issue with the smoothing algorithm that is discussed here: https://community.adobe

I have a MAC and when I save the file all the text dissapears, the only thing left is the underlines.  I would like to recover it because I wrote a lot of informartion there in comments that I need.Thanks.

Is there a way to automate (e.g. make use of a scirpt) the adding of a Trusted Identity (CA Certificate) into the Trusted Certificates list, in the Digital ID and Trust Certificates Settings of Adobe Acrobate Reader DC, for large scale enterprises as you would when adding CA certificate files to a machines local certificate store? The goal would be for Adobe Reader to validate sigantures of an internal "private" CA without enterprise users needing to manually trust the CA when the CA is not part of AATL.

Hi all,open a .pdf file from Lotus Notes (Version 8.5.3) inside EMail in Edit Mode.If I sign a document, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC asks for location where to save the signed file. This is ok, but everytime Acrobat Reader opens the location "Documents" of the user path. In the past it opens automatically the path where the "basic" file is located (in this case normally: C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp...) and the user only need was to click on "Save". It was then automatically saved in Lotus Notes EMail, too. Is there any way to change it back?It is more than annoying if I have a few documents to sign and answering or forwarding the email. In the past it was easy to go but now I have to attach each signed document new to the email. I already turned off the protected mode from settings and tested some another settings. The same result. Acrobat Reader DC shows after signing my user profile "Documents" folder as default save location. Please help.😉 Thank yo

Dynamic PDF was created with LiveCycle ES4. After that safe it, with Acrobat Acrobat DC Pro (2015) as "PDF with extended reader functions" - "Activate additional tools ...". So far so gut... With all PCs I can open the PDF document and dynamically edit the text fields, but not with my PC  I deleted and reinstalled Arcrobat Reader DC, made all repairs ... but without success.  'Where can the problem be? Thx in advance for any help. Nikolaos.

Good morning! We're facing a strange issue.About 2 weeks ago Acrobat Reader DC auto updated to version 21.001.20142No problem so far, only with 2 of our users (it's on terminal server) reader keeps hanging after a few seconds of scrolling in te documentI've already tried reinstalling this version, no helpChecked compatibility on adobe site, that tells me version 19.008.20071 should be working witch it does but auto update keeps reactivating and updating to version 21...Searched this site but found some similar problems years ago but dit not find a working solution for me. Since it's working with most of the users I don't think the problem is version related but can not find any issues on their profiles. Anyone any idea on what could be causing this? Setup:Windows server 2012 R2 terminal server with 17 users logged in RDSAdobe versions see above

Took 45 minutes to start the download, install app and finally open a PDF file.  What a HUGE waste of time and resources. I didn't want to reinvent my life or launch a space shuttle. There is a problem in my Adobe Reader DC. I've just re-installed it again today. What happen is when I click the page, it turns black while the text or other images turn into glitch. I don't know why it happens and it shouldn't happen because we've just bought the new laptop few days ago. Please respond, needs some help for this.

Just recently the configuration error 0x8007007e appears if I want to print a PDF file from my hard drive.The printing of word documents and JPEG"S works normal.I have Windows 10 Home and Acrobat Reader DC.Any suggestions ?
