Acrobat Reader

I created a document in Microsoft Word that has text and "checkboxes." I exported the document to PDF because I ony have Acrobat Reader and not the full Acrobat software. I can "fill in" the document in Reader using the fill and sign tool. When I print the document, the check boxes don't print. There is just a blank space. I can see the boxes onscreen in both the system viewer and the print preview.  I have disabled enhanced security and printed it as an image. If I select print as an image in Reader, the boxes print but the black prints at only about 75% and the document is too light. When in print as an image mode, I choose any black and white printing options. If I print using Preview, everything prints fine, but it is a hassle for me to have to open the documents in a separate application to print them. I'm using a MacBook Air 2020. Any thoughts?

I have installed Adobe Acrobat DC 2020 on a local PC. It is an Education-Version.When I build an PDF-Dokument and I want to include MediaContent, then I have an Document with the included Content. When I want to play this Content with my Programm, I see the Microsoft Mediaplayer WITH Start/Stop, Forward and TimeLine...Now I can save my PDF...On my other Computer (there are only Adobe Reader DC installed) can I open my PDF.I have to accept 3D-Content and I can start my included Content.BUT: There are no control elements displayed. I can't pause, fast-forward, or adjust the volume.What I have to do in Acrobat Pro, so I can see the control elements in Reader????

Can't open Cloud PDF files. There's no access to the cloud Files anymore on the free version Adobe Acrobat Version18.2.0 182935. No access to all the Cloud files. It says log in and I can't log in when I try on this Free Version. All the Cloud access and PDF files and other files on local are all gone from one day to the next day. What happened and how do I get the files back? If I get another Adobe Acrobat Free Reader which one do I get at the APP Store? How can I Update the Version I already have? Is it broken forever? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you folks. 

Dear All, I just want to create a name pipe in *.api for adobe reader as follow, by using visual C++.hPipe = CreateNmaedPipe(L"\\\\.\\pipe\\my_pipe", PIPE_ACCESS_DUPLEX, PIPE_TYPE_MESSAGE | PIPE_READMODE_MESSAGE | PIPE_NOWAIT, PIPE_UNLIMITED_INSTANCES, 4096, 4096, 1000, NULL);and put *.api in the adobe plugin,  open adobe and call this.But hPipe will return INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE and GetLastError as 5, Access Denied. If I only run the is code in invidual c++ project and run it directly, it can be successful. In I think all other programs, when I make changes to a document and click "save" - it saves the document. In Acrobat:It opens its own special dedicated dialogue box asking you where you want to save itThen it opens the location in windows explorerThen you have to click the save buttonThen Adobe asks you if you're sure you want to overwrite a file4 clicks for what should be done in one. Why is that? And what is the difference between "save" and "save as" if "save" still asks you for a file name and panicks if you enter the old one? Is there a setting somewhere that tells Acrobat "save - means just save" and "save as - means I want to save as a different file, so please warn me if I'm going to overwrite the old one"?

Hello,I am on a Mac- with OS Big Sur version 11.1I am trying to add a signature to my document using the latest Adobe reader DC, which I just installed.I am not able to as the add signature button does not show up to highlight/ click.I have checked the document security- it allows for signatures.How can I fix this please?N

Some of my pdf files that I have completed reading and marked some points are suddenly vanished( highlighted points). How could I retrieve them? I trusted your APK so that for revision sake I won't go through all the way through PDF  and it sucks now . Would you please help me atleast for futures reference? @3105692

Hello,I've recently downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Flash player to enable embedded videos in PDFs, however I'm receiving a message that Flash player can no longer be used after Dec 2020. Right now my videos are playing fine but I'm wondering what will be provided as an alternative by 2021? Thanks in advance.

For the last few months, after every new WSUS update, almost every one of my PC's (running Windows 10 version 1909) are unable to open pdf's until the computer is rebooted one more time. It's more of an annoyance than anything. Has anyone else ran into this or found a solution?  I checked to make sure that Adobe is not an orphaned process after the Update. Adobe is not open in Task Manager, but Adobe Acrobat Update Service is running. Could that be the issue?

Hello, I have a plugin, which is not working until protected mode is enabled. For security reasons protected mode should stay enabled further on.I only want the plugin get working as trusted plugin etc. Is there a way to get the plugin working? Thanks a lot!

Iæm having trouble with highlighting in Adobe Acrobat Reader, it will work fine for one part of the ducument, then it suddendly starts highlighting at the following word (not the word I'm trying to highlight). The highlighting also end one word further than I'm trying to end it. If anyone has any solution to this issue, I would be very grateful! I now have to save, close the document and reopen it whenever this happens (which is a lot of times).

When printing PDF docs with mixed paper sizes, the first legal page will print correctly, but if there are subsequent legal sizes back to back, the 2nd and others after that, are cutting off at the bottom. To be clear, if I have several legal sizes back to back, the first one prints correctly, the ones after that do not.

Has anyone else seen their app protection policy not applying to their Adobe Reader app within Intune? It was working up until August of this year. I have also opened a case with MS support as well.

I am trying for couple years to have an excel program that I have to be able to open a PDF file and go to a specific page.There is a way if the file is a web-based file to open it via the excel using the IE (internet explorer).But if the file is stored in local hard drive then IE cannot handle it.So is any way using excel VBA to open a PDF file and go to a specific page using.1-any other browsers.2-any way to open it using Adobe Reader.Any help on this will be much appreciatedKosta

Hello, I want to use Read Out Loud functionality. Anyhow, I can select only English voices (UK or US) in Edit/Preferences/Reading setup.I have instaled in windows several more voices for another langluage,s that are avelaible in other programs (for example MS Word) but not in Acrobat Reader DC. Can I solve this issue ? thanks for help. 

Hello, we´re using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC with Citrix VDA. Because of necessary Security-Options we have restricted the C:\ Path so the Users are unable to save on C:\. If the User try to save a File in Acrobat Reader DC opened up from Outlook the File wants to be saved in "C:\Users\User\Appdata\local\..." and a Error appears. Thats why I have to change the default Path of save location to our Network-Drive. But I cant find any way how to do. Is there a Reg-Key that can be set or something else? RegardsMichael

Hi,we have a legacy app that still uses IE 11 and Acrobat reader add-on to display PDF files.After upgrading to Acrobat Reader DC 20 in our Citrix environment we started getting users complaining that after working in the app and with PDF files opening properly suddenly we get a grey screen with a progress bar saying "Initializing" and that's where it gets stuck. Only closing the browser and reopening the browser which actually causes two new AcroRd32.exe process to open allows us to view PDF files until the issue reoccurs.Please advise, Adam 

Hi,I have a scheduled task that will print out a PDF. The task is failing to print because there's no users logged on. Is there any workaround to achieve this? I've heard that Direct Adobe Automation might be able to help me achieve what I need. Any advice on how to do that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

(This message has 4 attachments)I have the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2020.013) updated.When I add a video in mp4 format I don't see the controls for play, pause, stop.When I go to the "Controls" tab, the "hide-controls" option is activated and gray and I cannot add any controls.When I insert videos I can only view them (when I click on them with the mouse) and stop them (via the context menu), which is very complicated because sometimes I need to pause.Hope I was clear.What am I doing wrong?Thanks for all the help:Health for all.

Hello, While I am writing inside the file it starts flickering, specially when I zoom in and write. I change the regedit with DirectInkRegforDC.reg as it was shown here at the official site, but no change at all. The only think that has changed is once I just touch the screen with the pen. its drawing a point like a small circle Is there another patch to fix this flickering thanks

I have been having trouble saving a pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I repeatedly get this error message : "The document could not be saved. A number is out of range". A Save as window appears afterward. A new file is not created when I enter a new name for the document, but changes are saved on my original file. Those changes are however not visible on other PDF reader application such as Preview. I am afraid that I'll eventually have trouble opening or saving changes to my document. Thanks in advance for your help!
