Acrobat Reader

All of a sudden when I try to open acrobat reader, the logo just bounces but won't open. When I try to open PDFs on my desktop or download a PDF from my browser and save to desktop, it doesn't work. Do I need to update AR? How do I do that if I cannot open the application? Any help is welcome. I am on Mac.

This seems to be an issue after the Dec update. Was working fine up until a short while ago.* Win 11 23H2* Uninstalled, reinstalled Adobe Reader* Turned off enhanced security, protected view, etc* Turned off open documents in tabs in the same window No matter what, if Reader is open and I double click a 2nd document, nothing happens no matter the settings on/off as above. However, if I DRAG a document into the open window, it opens in a tab normally. Super annoying but at least I can use this as a clumsy workaround.

How may I delete the Acrobat Reader background from saving along with my signed PDF document?  Additionally, all of my PDF docs previously saved on my laptop are now showing with Acrobat Reader.  I don't like this.  Any ideas?

Bonjour,Acrobat Reader a fermé un fichier sur lequel j'effectuais des modifications suite à un plantage, j'ai ré - ouvert le fichier en question, mais les modifications ont disparu. Je ne retrouve pas ce fichier avec ses modifications dans les fichiers "ouverts récemment" non plus...Y a t-il un quelconque moyen de retrouver ce fichier avec ses modifications? (La fonction "enregistrer toutes les 5 minutes" était en plus activée) 

Hello, When i try to SAVE the document, the document name and save as type is not pulled correctly, basically not letting me save that document as pdf. I'm able to click the print button and save as pdf( this works fine). But, th ask here, why doesnt th save button bring the correct save as type? on what scenarios can this happen. My suspect is  save button could not read the document name due to security? if so, where would be that setting? i'm not a adobe developer, trying to figure out why my rendered document cant be saved using the save button . Good Afternoon,  I am trying to edit all these files so it just has the 6 digit number in the middle only, is there a way to do this ll at once or do I have to edit each file one by one? 

After recent updates, all PDF files display the white background as light blue. I was able to select Preferences>Accessibility>Replace Document Colors>Use Windows Color Scheme to coorect the issue for most pages, except most (not all) images in PDF still have blue background. Windows 11 Acrobat DC Pro   

I currently have adobe reader dc set to open pdfs in tabs (instead of opening each pdf in a new window). And when I need, I have several windows of adobe, each with many pdf tabs. The problem arises when I try to find one window on the taskbar. When my cursor moves to the adobe icon on windows taskbar, the preview shows ALL the pdfs that are currently open, instead of each window.(compare for example, if you have multiple windows of chrome running, each with its own number of tabs open, but when you preview on windows taskbar you only see a preview of the windows, not ALL the tabs that are currently open)Does anyone know any way to fix this, short of creating new desktops to put the pdfs?apologies if question is a bit too long and thanks in advance if anyone can help me ~~~

When I am using acrobat with a two monitor system, if acrobat pops up a dialog, it often puts it on the wrong monitor (the one on which I am not running acrobat).It seems acrobat has decided that pop-ups should always go on my second monitor, so if I am running acrobat in a window on that monitor, it is fine (in that, the pop-up comes up on the same monitor I activated the pop-up from).However, if I am running acrobat on monitor one, and I get a pop-up for any reason, such as reaching the end of the document in a search, or bringing the print dialog with File->Print..., then the pop-up comes up on the second monitor, which is very annoying, as much of the time, I leave that monitor off, or, in any case, I now have to move the pointer way over to the second monitor to answer the dialog, then go back to the first monitor to continue viewing a pdf.This is so annoying that a viable solution may be for me to stop using acrobat to view PDFs (hmm, anybody recommend good alternatives?)

I have a problem when I want to write some words in the Arabic language. After typing the words and save the pdf file and open it again, all the words are displayed in reversed order and separated.The example:السلامbut the Adobe displays the word like this: م ا ل س ل اI'm using Adobe dc and the option right to left is enabled.

Every time I open a PDF I get this ad. Is there a way to prevent it from popping up? Thank you!!!

I used to be able to email directly out of Adobe Acrobat Reader when I had Windows 7 and Outlook 2010.  I completed a systems upgrade not long ago to Windows 10 and Outlook 2016.  Now when I go to email a PDF out of Acrobat Reader (Version 2019.010.20099), I see under "Send as Attachment", Default email application (unknown).  I have Outlook 2016 set as my default Mail client under Default Apps.I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader but that didn't help.  Also, when I go to Preferences within Adobe Acrobat Reader, where I used to see Default Email Application (Outlook 2010), all it says is Default Email Application; it does not indicate a specific application.Please help!Thanks!

I have an end-user who can e-sign any document that is created by us, there are no issues. As soon as she and her co-worker recieve a PDF to sign from external companies the option is greyed out. They have had multiple documents come from external parties that would not allow them to e-sign on. I checked the security settings for the PDF's and they were marked as being ALLOWED to sign. I've tried updating the application. I've tried to remove the application and install/update again. I've also tried to use tools such as Revo Uninstaller which help delete files/folders/registery keys left behind after an uninstall and removed those items, as well. This still would not work for the e-sign capabilities. Again, other documents are fine to sign. I suggested to the end-user that it could be the way the sender is setting up the documents, but there haven't been any signs of the document properties showing this to be the case.

Hi,after a recent update of my PC to Win10 V.1909 and Acrobat Reader to v 2020.006.20034, the PDF files look over saturated. The sRGB file looks ok in Photoshop (it is an sRGB with embedded sRGB profile) Out of curiosity if I drag the pdf file to a Firefox or Chrome tab it looks perfectly ok (as ever) so I believe the problem should lie in Acrobat Reader. I thought that I could tweak some preferences but the old "Color management" settings under "Preferences" are no longer available in the new version so I'm stuck. Is anyone experiencing this ?

Thanks for making an already great PDF reading tool worse. 1. Why remove the title bar? On the desktop, it provided a handle so you can move the window around. Now, it's replaced with tabs. If you have a lot of tabs open (like I do, because I cross-reference documents), you literally have to search for empty space in the title bar just to move the window around.2. Why put the Bookmarks bar with the Comments? Bookmarks use to be on the left. Comments tool use to be on the right. I could quickly navigate to a PDF section and drop notes. Now it's merged so that you can only use either one at any point in time. Asinine changes by designers who think the GUI should be consolidated.

Hi all, I noticed when I type Chinese characters in my PDF form here in Acrobat Reader, it did not appear properly, as seen here. I understand by reading some posts here that there are font packs that can solve the problem. However, it did not help me, but it can appear in Acrobat Pro. Is there a way to solve this for Acrobat Reader?

I'm trying to find a solution to set up Adobe Reader as the default PDF viewer for all users who log in to a computer. Currently, this option in Windows 10 is set to user-specific where every user needs to change their default PDF viewer. Please advise. Thanks

I can't get rid of the pop-up window reading NEW PDF FEATURE.Whether if select option Yes with a check, Yes with no check, NO with a check, or NO with no check, this annoying message pops up every time I open a pdf.how do i get rid of this pop-up message please?

I cant select the Adobe Acrobat version after selecting the OS and Language - it is greyed out. Have tried in different browsers and no change

I've PDFs in Adobe cloud stroage.  I'm able to read just find on multiple devices (logged in w/ the same Adobe ID)... however, the page position doesn't update/sync across devices.  I found a couple of posts indicating that this used to work, and Adobe indicating it's a current problem (from a year or so ago)... does anyone know if this has been fixed, and if/how to enable it if it is functional?

He intentado cancelar el plan gratuito de Adobe Stock antes de que me hagan el cargo a mi tarjeta, y no he podido hacerlo ya que no coincido con la asistencia de una persona, solo tengo la asistencia virtual que no me ha ayudado en poderlo hacer, no quiero que me hagan el cargo ya que no necesito lo suficiente Adobe Stock para pagarlo, tengo los programas de Adobe eso si los necesito y debo pagar esta mensualidad pero no puedo activar mi tarjeta para que se haga el cargo, porque a la vez se hará el de Adobe Stock, tengo tres días intentando con el asistente virtual y no he tenido éxito, por favor me pueden ayudar a cancelarlo, sino tendré que cancelar todo los planes que tengo de Adobe.

In the past...installing Acrobat Reader free...was a click and a click.Now;  something has changed.  i need more guidance than thepage gives to install this...Mac.   thanks
