I am using Acrobat XI Pro to create a fill-in pdf withforms. I now want to add dynamic barcodes/QR-codes which change when the valueof a form is changed. I want to use this so customers who fill out or forms canprint the pdf with barcodes and send them to us. We can then scan codes insteadof typing all the information in manual by keyboard. As I understand it we need another license to be able to do this but I can’t find the information of what licenseis needed? And do our customers also need that license or can they fill out theforms in the free reader and then print the pdf with barcodes containing theinfo in the forms?
I just installed DC and I am receiving an error message that I am not connected to internet. Whats going on? I obviously am connected as I am typing this request for help
Since the server is no longer in use, I have no way of validating. Any ideas?
Acrobat Pro DCNew PC running Windows 10 Enterprise (i7, 16 GB RAM, no speed issues with other programs)Same issue on multiple machines (way worse on older PCs)When I want to 'save as', instead of getting a Windows dialogue, I get an Adobe one instead, which then eventually gets me to a Windows dialogue box.Why does this have to be this way? It introduces a delay of several seconds (longer on older/weaker machines) that becomes really annoying over time.I understand that the program may want to communicate with the "mother ship" (i.e., Adobe) in some manner, but this delay can be frustrating to someone who demands more from their software.Adobe, I hope you are listening, and either working to speed this task up or do away with it altogether. Previous versions of Acrobat worked a lot better in this regard. Thanks
When touching up the reading order, I can select elements and identify them as a heading, text, image, etc. Sometimes when doing this, or touching up the reading order, the element that I have selected will graphically change color, sometimes becoming illegible. This stays with the document I'm working on when I save it. How can I change the reading order while not ruining my PDF?NOTE: I create the PDF in InDesign before moving it over to Acrobat to make accessible.
I downloaded Acrobat X. When I try to install, it says my code is invalid. I used the code that was on my profile site and was verified correct by Adobe. Also, I downloaded Acrobat X, but when I'm installing, it says it's Acrobat X Pro, is that correct?
I have Adobe Acrobat XI Standard which was purchased on line from Adobe, and have been using it for over three years.Last week my computer was updated to "Windows 10" and my Adobe product stopped working correctly.our IT guy said to try and delete the product and reinstall it.I did that and realized that after deleting the file, I should have deactivated it instead. Now I cannot reinstall the product because Adobe will not recognize my Serial Number for the product.Any suggestions on how to reinstall this product??Ed Ruff
Using updated Windows 10 64 bit OS. Reinstalled Adobe Reader. Copied files in pdf format to a flash drive but when trying to open after plugging in flash drive the first file will open and then get error message and access denied when trying to open subsequent pdf files in the same folder. Alternatively get message You don't have permission to open this file contact the file owner or administrator to obtain permission. Same messages occurs when using Acrobat X.Can open these same file using Reader on a machine using WIndows 7 with no problems. Can also open files and save them if sent as attachments to an email from the other computer. Have checked for updates and none listed for either Reader or Acrobat X. I can work aroud this but need to copy numerous from library resources and this is very cumbersome.Any suggestions.Larry Camp
I have a big PDF file containing about 200 oversize drawings with different paper sizes. Is there any way to know how many drawings of each size are there in the file? instead of scrolling and checking one by one.e.g. Need to know if there are 40, 30"x 42:, 30, 24" x 36" 25, 11" x 17" etc.
I am creating a bingo type card and would like to use it digitally. In order for a box to be marked, I want it to require a password. Each box would get a different password. Is this possible?

Ever since I installed Acrobat X Pro on my system, I am unable to get PDFs to display outside of the Internet Explorer 11 browser window.I have followed the steps provided in the following article, and it makes no difference if the Adobe Extensions are enabled or not.Display PDF in browser Adobe Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC I have toggled these extensions on and off, with browser and system restarts, with no effect.I am using Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bitPlease provide another method to fix this problem.P.S. It would be great if the Adobe Acrobat Installer would recognized that I already had the extensions disabled when I was using Reader, and not change the settings when I upgrade.
I created a form in Acrobat X with dropdowns, radio buttons and text fields that are "required" to be completed before the form is sent to another department. I would like a javascript written to tie to Print and Save As buttons I have created that would check these fields before the action is completed. I have checked this forum and other forums and found pieces but I can't get them to work together.Dropdowns - 'Request in Person' or 'Request by Other' (a selection must be made in one of these fields)Dropdown - Wire Fees (a selection must be made in this fields)Radio Buttons - Method of Payment, Funds Available, Account Analysis (a selection must be made in all of these fields)Text Fields - Beneficiary Name, Beneficiary Account Number, Beneficiary Street Address, Beneficiary City, State, Zip CodeIf possible, could the javascript also include a warning message that those fields need to be completed?Any and all help would be greatly appreciated on this!!
Hello,I know you can mark fields in a form as read-only with the digital signature properties. Now i have a form where i must mark some fields as read-only, but i don't want to use the digital signature for that.Is it possible to mark fields in a form as read-only without using the digital signature. Maybe a button?Kind regards,Jarno
I used a checkbox in a PDF. I prepared the PDF for signature using Acrobat Pro DC.Sent to client and instead of a check in the box, it came back with a signature... WTF?I see the mistake I made, I think:The first check box is really a signature box?? When I click 'Preview' it works like a check box. When I send it out... got a signature back. Super frustrating! How did I make this mistake, so that I can never make it again!?!Right-click then Properties on the box doesn't seem to help...Thanks!
I'm using DC Pro and want to create a form that will do calculations. So far I've worked through addition and multiplication. How do I do subtraction. Example: Cost of job is $125. If the job is done 3 times per year the annual cost would be $375. If you pre-pay for the year you get a 10% discount, $375 - $37.50 = $337.50. When I am preparing a form, how do I write the calculation for subtraction?

I just wondered if anyone could steer me in the right direction with an idea I have in my head.I’ve been tasked with creating an interactive company portfolio document. What I want to do is a little more complex than what I’m about to describe, but if I can crack this basic technique then I should be able to build what is in my head.Basically, imagine a page with six buttons on it. Tapping on to any of the buttons will take the reader to the start of a sequence of three pages which they can scroll back and forth between by swiping left or right. If they want to return to the home page from any of these three sub-pages, they just need to swipe down on any of them.I thought I would be able to do this with a combination of InDesign, ePub and PDF. However, InDesign and Acrobat’s interactive tools look a little limited and do not provide the “bounce” effect you get when scrolling through websites and apps on mobile devices. It also seems quite hard to limit the reader to a three-page sequen
I AM UNABLE TO ACTIVATE THE SOFTWARE OVER THE INTERNET? WHO CAN HELP ME..
I want to convert an editable PDF form to HTML and for this I downloaded and installed the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.The PDF form is converted to HTML and it's format is intact but the HTML doesn't contain any input controls. The text-boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons and submit buttons are not present in the HTML, it just has the background image with borders for the input controls. Is Acrobat Pro capable of exporting the editable PDF forms to HTML with proper input tags and buttons? What am I missing?Any help is appreciated.

Hey!Ive created a fillable form in Indesign that I have converted to a PDF and all is well. I had a few issues getting the submit button I created to display properly, It now appears but not on mobile.... any ideas why? Also, Ive manage to turn off the coloured fields but again, not for mobile???My biggest concern though is the functionality of the submit button. What is the point of having a decorative button at the end of the form (which I very much want) if it doesn't send to the email address you specified? It is sending to a different inbox for some reason. I am trying to make the submit button that I created, work to where I specified, on desktop and mobile. Any suggestions? Many thanks!
Hi,I'm trying to figure out if and how it's possible to make extended conditional formatting work on pdf forms through indesign. So it's possible to create actions on form elements to show/hide other form elements...I'm trying to show a hidden section of questions upon answering "yes" to another. We can use form actions to show/hide the form textfields. Easy. But can we also show/hide the textlabels that are used as labels for the textfields in the hidden section? My question would be: can we make textlabels show/hide and make the rest auto-reflow?How would we do that? I was asked to make a huge form, which is absolutely needed in a pdf, it would make sense for me to make it conditional in a few places. Is this possible? Some of the features found in Indesign would make you believe so, but i guess they are limited in several ways. Documentation is present, but not really extensive or thorough enough for what i'm trying to achieve, if at all possible.GreetzKristof
I need to check documents and would like to know how to add the date and time field automatically printing.
