I just installed an HP Scanjet 5590 on a computer running Windows 7 (64 bit). The scanner works fine, except that it will only save to jpeg and other similar formats. It will not save to pdf format. My intended use for the scanner is b/w documents. Without being able to scan to pdf, the scanner is pretty much useless.

running acrobat pro xi. default email app is outlook 2003. when I click on email icon in acrobat I get an error message saying can't open outlook. I've figured out that acrobat is trying to open outlook 2000, also installed on the computer as part of ms office 2000. I get the error message even if outlook 2003 is already running. There must be a registry entry somewhere that is telling acrobat to point to outlook 2000. I think I could solve my problem if I could identify that registry key. I have the same configuration running successfully on another computer. I've searched the registry on that one and every mention of outlook.exe in the registry is outlook 2003. This doesn't appear to be the case on the problem machine. In that machine there are references to outlook.exe in the folder containing the older version but I'm reluctant to modify those registry entries without know what they are. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where in the registry acrobat looks for outlook?
HI,I created a report in photoshop and saved it as pdf (unchecking photoshop editing capabilities). The problem is when I try to print, the printer only returns a blank page or it does not even go to the printer but it shows the error "the document cannot be printed".The only way I have been able to print is through printing "pdf as an image" but that is not an option since the pdfs have to be delivered to external users. And I suppose that it has to be a way to create a normal pdf with normal pdf printing capabilities, as photoshop is widely used for everyone.Any help would be tremendously appreciated
Greetings,I created a working menu item that removes, or scalps (as my user calls it), the first page of a pdf.I am attempting to add this as a toolbar button.Following the documentation, I wrote the following code, which I added in the Javascript folder of Acrobat DC Pro (15.02020039).I ensured that my jpg used for the icon is 20x20. The dummy pdf is just my business card. I placed both the jpg for the icon and the dummy pdf in the Javascript folder.I added all this here for your convenience: AddButton - Google Drive When I start Acrobat, nothing happens, in terms of having my button anywhere under 'Tools'.Being this is my first button... I beg for some guidance Here's the code I have:var LoadScalpPdfButton = app.trustedFunction( function (){ if ( typeof LoadScalpPdfButton == "undefined" ) ScalpPdf = true; else { if (!LoadScalpPdfButton) { &n
The form was developed in Live Cycle. I send the form to my team and when they open the form, they instantly get the "Save a blank copy of this form error message". It even does it when I email the original form without edits. What am I missing here?

I purchased the Acrobat Pro 12 DVD at Best Buy. I never got to complete the installation and now the program is missing. I only see installations for older versions of Acrobat Pro (10, 11). What should I do?
I like to minimize the width of the open window so that I can have 2-3 programs open side by side but my quick tools doubles the width of the window (in order to see all). Is there any way to move the quick tools bar below the main bar (as was possible in Acrobat II pro)?
I've brought in a 3D model so I can add some annotation for a presentation to a customer.Unfortunately, the model is invisible until I zoom in or out only by using the +/- buttons.Once I've got it visible, any attempt to add any annotations makes the model become invisible again. If I simply click to add a text box or callout, then the text box or callout (or any other tool) will cause the model to become invisible, but the textbox will be drawn without any issue. If I zoom in or out with the +/- buttons, then the model becomes visible again as it zooms in or out, but the text box disappears. Once it is done zooming, then the model becomes invisible again, and the text boxes become visible again. If I save the file, exit acrobat, then re-launch it, then just the model is visible until I click on the Coment&Markup - then the model turns invisible again, and the text boxes come back.Right-clicking on the model when it is visible causes it to turn invisible.I've completely wiped an
In order to test both versions, we've granted a handful of people access to both applications. Until this week, we were able to download both applications on two separate machines. As of this week, only Pro is showing up as available to download. Where can I download Standard?

Hi there,We have created a PDF for our clients to be able to edit as and when they need to in InDesign. For some reason, both we and they are able to edit the front of the PDF, both the text and the images, with no problem. The back however is uneditable, we don't know why, we can't edit it here and the client can't edit it there. We're both using Acrobat Pro.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Sophie
Acrobat DC Windows 10Working on an annual calendar in InDesign CC 2015.Everything is going fine, retourch images in Photoshop, draw some vector art in Illustrator -- couldn't be happier.Until, until the moment I have to export to PDF -- my beautifully crafted color is kaput! Why?I traced the problem down to the way Acrobat reads Windows Monitor profile in.While Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator ALL query the Monitor profile upon application start (never understood why MacOSX versions of CC do it "dynamically"), Acrobat only queries the Monitor profile upon starting Windows? This is crazy..What's the problem, Acrobat engineering team? Please update your code to AT LEAST match the rest of the Suite's "current" behavior..(If I had my way, I'd get the whole Suite to match MacOSX dynamic behavior)/ Roger Bretonwww.graxx.ca
